I walked in for a quick 30 min massage. They said they had availability and took me into a room. I was so shocked and startled. I said no and she told me "you have 15 min, ok". She walked out while still be on the phone. This gagged me. My massage therapist, Esmeralda, has magically healing hands and puts love and gratitude into her touch energy. She made me wonder why I'm not getting a massage more often. The experience certainly changes you - for the better. It truly is body therapy. I took advantage of a 2 year old gift certificate from my niece and scheduled a 90 minute Swedish massage. Hint, hint, they never expire. Esmeralda was so skillful, offering up gentle and rhythmic strokes and deepening hand and elbow pressure when working out my knots and kinks! We had minimal conversation, because I like it like that. But Esmeralda did offer words of encouragement, support and hope when I shared one of the stressors that I've been dealing with - the cause for knots in my neck and shoulders. She was caring from her heart and through her hands. And I needed that. I'll be back. This place is such an Upper East Side treasure. And smile at the pic of Jennifer Hudson in the lobby! You'll get 5 Star treatment too!

We arrived early for our massage and they were able to take us right back. The masseuse confirmed when he walked in and then showed me the timer for 60 min before beginning. The ambiance was perfect and we both enjoyed our massages. They even had a bathroom with a shower and robes/slippers for us to use after we were finished. It's a step above your no frills massage parlor! I would definitely recommend going here for a quality massage!

This time, I was disappointed in the experience. Got an hour massage with 30 mins of it towel on, pressure points being pressed for several minutes at a time, while the tech texted with her elbows on me. Nothing was fluid, consistently clicking at her phone- but I figured one bad experience in 2 years, fine. So I decided to be generous and tip 20%, to which she complained to me. The next day, my back was worse than how I came in. I love the owner here but weekend service is disappointing.

Really glad I did! It was a painful massage but in the best possible way. It was like getting a massage in China. It hurt but every thing the guy was doing was with intention. Some of the places in LA are just being lazy just patting you down giving you half their attention or one time they just tried to flatten me like pizza dough. I consider that a waste of time and money. My masseuse was really searching for every knot and tried with a hefty amount of strength to work through it. It was exactly what I needed but I can imagine some people just not being able to take it. Imagine a knot being found in your back and then just someone shoving their elbow in it and hearing loud popping. It was sooooo therapeutic and I'm still sore a few days later but feeling so loose and without any real tension. It's like a weight is lifted all my shoulders. Pretty sure you can ask for a lighter massage. I heard a guy next to me say 6 out of 10 so I'm sure lighter massages are available. Can't repeat this enough, I'm going back again!
