Excellent massage spa! All the treatments I've had here were amazing. Chinese massage, deep tissue, and lymphatic drainage massage. Lee 89 Spa is a hidden gem. Unassuming, clean, and staffed with lovely and thoughtful workers. We're lucky to have this spot in the neighborhood! read more

Great massage and customer service. Place looks clean, but they started it by soaking our feet in a pedicure kind of a tub which was emptied out after our soak. I did not see it being cleaned before the next set of customers was ushered in. Also, the velvet cushioned seats and footrest had no disposable lining. Again, it looks clean, but it's dark in color so you can't tell. The next set of customers immediately after sat exactly where we did without any cleaning between. That's worrisome. read more

I almost want to gate keep this place since its already busy enough. call ahead to make an appointment, and leave walking on clouds. I went to happy feet in SF, this is so much better! book at least 45 minutes, they are to busy to extend the time if not booked in advance. No frills place, excellent foot massage. You may want to bring flip flops in the summer. Enjoy! read more

I came across Lee 89 yesterday as I was in town for a business trip. I had a wonderful foot massage, and a lymphatic drainage massage with Emily late afternoon and it was so good I booked a second one hour massage session at 9pm! I had a busy day touring New York City. I had just walked down from the Met gallery. My feet were killing me and I came upon this spa that does foot reflexology. I didn't have an appointment but they fit me in. I would have liked to have sat in the chair but because I didn't have an appointment they put me on a table downstairs in a very small room. It was the best foot massage I've had in a very long time and of course I tipped her well and caught a cab back to my hotel in midtown. I slept like a baby. read more

Clean, pleasant staff and awesome massage. I've been a few times now. Such a great deal!

I have been coming here for the past 6 months. The therapists are all good and take direction well. The front desk is so accommodating. I love being able to call for a same day appointment. The price is one of the best on the UES. Highly recommend! read more

This place has the best prices, quality, availability and super professional / talented staff. I am always very cautious with trusting my neck and shoulders to strangers, but I have now been going for years and I am always happy with the results. read more

Very relaxing Had a deep tissue massage with hot stones and oils I loved it My masseuse was extremely attentive always asked if I was comfortable read more

I got the natural oil massage with CBD oil. I made an appointment, but there's walk in available. I'm just the type to call ahead and secure a spot as opposed to waiting. My masseuse was coco and she was very attentive to my tense shoulders. She constantly asked if she was applying too much pressure and made sure it was a relaxing experience for me. I got my massage in the basement area of the spa which was nice. The only downside was that I had to ask if there was music. I've had my fair share of massages in the past. I would rate: Ambience 4/5 - it smelled great when I first walked in, but the aromatic smell from the upstairs disappears when you go down. Rooms had curtains as doors. So in between changing positions and it was quiet you could hear the client next to you if they are talking (Not bad because I don't think anyone goes to get a massage to talk the entire time & as long as there's music playing it's not a problem). Massage 4/5 - great for the price and it also included hot stone. I would've appreciated the oil to be warm, but it isn't a huge factor in my review because the massage was relaxing. If you mention where your problem areas are that's where the focus will be. For me it was 70% my back and shoulders. If you want an equal amount of attention in all areas of your body, make that known. read more

Mai was fantastic. For the past 5 years I've averaged getting a massage two, three times a month to ward off the pain from an old spine injury. I've gone to many places and am particular about the practitioners knowledge of Kinesiology and Myology. This girl knows what's up. I communicated my problem areas and off she went, kneading and massaging and taking the time to focus on specific muscles that needed additional attention. I felt great after the massage and while I don't live in NYC, I visit often enough to make her my new go to while in town. Now about the interior. The place is clean and the beds are fine, nothing fancy and certainly not run down. I'd say it's a midpoint between a spa treatment and those discount Chinese massage parlors. I was fine with it. The price point is worth it. read more

This was the best massage experience of my life. The bonus was that it was also affordable. Looking forward to returning the next time I am in town. read more

First time coming and the staff was wonderful. They were on time, they asked how you would like the massage to be (hard or soft). They are very careful not to hurt and privacy was given. Clean and sanitized. They had on mask which was a plus for me. I would recommend this to me friends as well as return. read more

Had a great experience at Lee89 this week! Saw Peter who used a great amount of pressure for a traditional massage! Clean space. Friendly staff. Very reasonable prices. Looking forward to visiting again! read more

My daughter and I had one hour foot massage service each. The massages were very therapeutic and enjoyable. While they did have calming music in the background, their chairs for foot massage are right up front and there was a lot of audible conversations and operational noise. read more

This was my first time, walk in and had a fantastic experience with " May" (sp). She was very attentive and targeted the right muscle restrictions in my mid-back and shoulders with the appropriate amount of pressure and technique. Pristine and clean facility. Yet another amazing massage from Lee89! My masseuse today was Bee and the entire experience was so smooth and relaxing.

My first time visit was surprisingly good, Gina did amazing job on my back, when I came back for the 2nd visit, Tina was unexpectedly very good. It's a miracle, my hips pain on both sides were gone. I was extremely tired after the massage, but on the 3rd day, i felt my body was revived. Surely, this spa is highly recommended. Thanks for a very good job. read more

Excellent massage and the rates were more than reasonable. I'd recommend an hour and a half.

Worst massage ever. John didn't know what he was doing. My husband had a good massage though so not all of their masseuse are bad. Avoid this place. Not worth it as I still need a massage! read more

I love it when a massage therapist listens to my requests. I love deep tissue in my shoulders and on my back, but nowhere else. Coco did exactly as I requested! Such a good massage I booked another one. Highly recommend! Lucy read more

I got a massage from she she (spelling?) She was fantastic! My first time here very clean, very Covid safe I will return! Excellent

Peter is amazing. The best Cbinese massage service I ever had. Peter understands massage and trigger points from traditional Chinese medicine perspective. That's why he not only makes you relax, her treats medical issues. He helped me with my left back injury 2 years ago. I am big fan of Peter for many years to come. read more

Great massage! I am very picky with massages but I definitely love this one. Usually chinese masseuse just used a lot of force and ended up making my muscles ache, not them. We also didn't had issues with privacy. We had our own room since it was my husband and I. We just moved to UES and I'm glad we found this place! read more

Favorite local massage place. Came in last month after being slumped over my computer for 6 months of quarantine and was impressed by their Covid protocols (temperature check, short questionnaire, and they even put booties over my shoes when I walked in!) For newbies: after they bring you to your room, hang your clothes on the hooks provided (leave your underwear on), lie face down on the table and drape the towel over you. They'll take care of the rest. 30 mins is $30 so I pay $40 cash and give the $10 change to my masseuse. I have had both the male masseuse and probably every single female masseuse at this point and they're all fantastic. Definitely going in again this week! read more

I've been going to this place for 3 years. The staff here are very personal and professional. Rooms are clean and I enjoy the music there. I've been dealing with a bad back pain for years. Ida is my go to therapist, who helps me relieve the back pain after every visit. I've tried a decent amount of massages places in the city before Lee Spa became my number one go to place, and I'd say they became my all time fav after the first visit and has been for three years. read more

Lee 89 is my go-to for massage. Everyone is quite friendly and even before covid, they've maintained a clean establishment. A 90-minute, oil massage is one of the only things that will soothe my chronic neck/back pain. Super reasonably priced, as well. read more

Had a massage with Peter who was great! Used a lot of pressure and hit a lot of pressure points. Definitely coming back!
