Updating my review to one star because it seems at this point I'll have long lasting nerve damage in my foot from the reflexology....its been a month and it still flares up. The business has also made no effort to remedy after literally damaging my body with those ratchet techniques. I wish I could get my money back and my foot before this massage back. I called & made our rsvp, when the day came we arrived a little early by like 25 minutes they were not ready no biggie so we walked around & came back. Once they checked us in we were brought Inside, nice set up inside very calming. We settled into our beds & had a pretty great massage, the ladies were really working the muscles, neck & back we felt great after it was done. Go with a groupon and you will have a good quality massage for rock bottom prices. My dd and I had the 90 minute massage with hot stones for $130 with the groupon. Both of the women were well-trained and sensitive to our needs - I like hard trigger point massage and my dd prefers only light pressure - and we were both happy. Also the quality of the rooms was a step above average from the super basic massage places. The walls were not paper thin, the lighting was adequate, and it was not a basement. If you are used to fancy spas, then this may disappoint. The staff spoke barely adequate English - but they did understand our instructions. The hot stone massage took about 10 minutes, think of it as a massage with a side of hot stones. And the place was still no-frills, even if it was sparkling clean. But the price is right. Called last minute this morning for an appointment for a Body/Foot Massage Combo and Anna was so helpful and able to get me in. This is not a fluffy day spa, for lack of a better comparison. The place is clean and modern, and the massage rooms are nice (as seen in the picture). Yes they use a paper liner on the bed and the room isn't dead quiet, but for the price and skill of the masseuse, it's a hidden gem! My masseuse was Lily and she did a wonderful job. Ensured the pressure was good and that I was comfortable. She was absolutely wonderful and I left the spa nice and relaxed from my services. Thank you, Deborah and Joy, for leading me here! The business is bustling (or at least it was for the time that I was there) so appointments are recommended. But happily, I was able to book a massage on very short (15 minutes) notice. I apologize profusely for forgetting my masseuse's name a week after my visit, but she was excellent, adjusting her strong fingers to provide the "medium" pressure massage I requested. I tend to have a lot of tension in my shoulders and back, so tuina- / deep tissue massage-trained therapists (as I'm fairly sure she was) are inclined to use a lot of pressure. Thankfully she dialed back when I asked and the result was enjoyable rather than punishing! You are massaged on your back and front, including use of some Thai massage-like techniques on hips and lower extremities in my case, which I quite appreciated. The facilities are very clean and quiet except when other patrons disturb the peace. There was an unpleasantly loud and obnoxious woman who was there for part of my visit, who berated her masseur for not providing a hair clip among other things. She spoke to him as though he were stupid since he didn't respond immediately to her (very loudly shouted!) demands. English did not appear to be his first language, but that should have been navigable. (How many of us know how to translate hair clip into a second or third language?) She was so racist and abusive that I was close to intervening despite my state of undress -- but thankfully she left after her short session. The fellow who had to deal with her was absolutely kind, professional, and unconfrontational. It is hard to fault a business for an obnoxious patron. I quite enjoyed my massage nonetheless and my masseuse powered through with full attention despite the disturbance. Looking forward to a return visit. read more

I was looking for a spa that was open on December 25th, and was so excited to see that this place's booking calendar was full of appointment on that day! After commuting 1.5 hours, I was pretty surprised/bummed to see that the spa was actually CLOSED. I'm guessing they forgot to disable their online booking calendar for the 25th. Someone here said it best, it hurt so good! I came here for my birthday and that massage was excellent. When you first walk in, you can feel the serene ambiance and the staff is super friendly. They do ask where you want the masseuse to focus on, but it's totally up to you. Their room set up is super cozy and comfortable along with the soothing music. Emma is my go-to - she knows exactly where all the sore spots are and gets a good feel of how much pressure to apply (plus will also ask every now and then to make sure you are comfortable). You can also tell them in advance if you want attention focused on a particular area, like your shoulders or neck. Prices are reasonable and they offer a loyalty discount card, which I intend on making abundant use of, now that my back is so messed up from using my couch as an office chair for the past year or so. The environment is comfortable and clean, particularly by COVID standards. Everyone wears a mask. I felt safe the entire time. (And for the reviewers who mentioned hearing other people talking - I mean, what do you expect? The walls are thin. Unless you're going to an incredibly fancy spa, you'll hear sounds.) I work in the area, but I find when the new lady started working in the front desk very aggressive very mean, forceful and rude about additional tips to a point where I do feel uncomfortable providing tips because of the rudeness I have no problem tipping my amazing male masseuse, but when I call and I'm purposely being ignored(this being the second time) I find that very disturbing, especially as a woman of color that works hard for her money as a single mother. I've been meaning to go get a massage here and was finally able to last Labor Day weekend. I spoke to Andy on the phone who was really nice and asked him to give me a really good massage therapist. I went on Sunday afternoon for a 90 min aromatherapy hot stone massage and Emma was my massage therapist. I was impressed by the Covid-19 protocols, taking your temperatures, masks all throughout the massage (you can remove your masks while face down), and really clean facility. While I'm used to the luxurious spas, here in NYC I'm pretty much good with the no frills ones as long as I'm getting an excellent massage, that's what you're truly after anyway right? I was really surprised that the place actually had a wonderful spa ambiance, really clean, soft lighting, and gentle music playing. Emma was also really good and while I prefer deep tissue or hard, I always like starting with medium to see their level of strength and her medium was ale pretty strong to begin with so we stuck to that. She also checked in a few times to see if it was just right for me which is always appreciated. The hot stones were wonderful! Honestly one of my best massage experience here in NYC. It was so good that exactly 24 hours after, on Labor Day, I decided to go for another 90 mins massage, this time with my husband for a Couples massage where we tried CBD oil. My friend and I came here for foot massages, which were a great deal at $38 for an hour! I called ahead to make appointments, and when I let them know I was running 15 minutes late, they were very accommodating. As we entered, we were greeted by a cheerful man who reminded us about wearing masks, then took our temperature and asked us to use hand sanitizer. The lounge chairs in the foot massage area were super comfortable and there was pleasant piano music playing in the background. The foot massage itself was great and ended with a hot stone rub! The lady was incredibly sweet and even requested to find someone else but they were almost closing so that couldn't happen. I ended up shortening my massage from an hour to 45 because when you've had a good massage it's just difficult to stay through a bad one. Easy to get same or next day appointments, massages are great and very reasonably priced at 55/hr for bodywork at the time this review was written.
