My first time here. I like it here. It's not as big or let's say King Spa or Island Spa in NJ but this is Queens and space is premium. The entrance is actually in the back and there is free parking as well. The garage is underground and it's tight as far as space goes but there is parking available. The lobby is where you check in and get your uniforms, towels, and wristbands. You have to leave and ID as well. No shoes past this point and they have shelves where you can either leave your shoes or put them in plastic bag(provided) and take them into the locker room with you. The locker rooms and the massage room are downstairs. Seperated by gender, the mens area has plenty of lockers and some benches and sinks outside of the showers and spa. The spa area has stand showers as well as seated ones, a steam room, sauna, and three hot tubs with different temperatures The upstairs has the common areas with saunas, an ice room, laser room, TV room and another TV area. There are plenty of lazy chairs around as well. The "cafeteria" is also here with a dining area. They have all types of Korean cuisine. A little pricey I thought but the food was decent. Overall, I would come back though I feel like it's a bit pricey for the value.

This was a good budget version of what you can find at other more well known Korean spas in the area, such as King Spa in Palisades NJ. This was much smaller and had fewer amenities. The vibe was less decadent and more utilitarian. The food was delicious though. My main complaint was how loud and rude the other customers were, especially in the upstairs sauna and warm rooms areas. I had to wear headphones just to relax and I was bumped into multiple times by the same loud kids while I was laying still. Staff should be dealing with this kind of rude behavior if they want to create a relaxing environment that should be expected at any spa.

Going to spas is definitely what I look forward to after long weeks of stress. This place for the value I suppose is good but it's not my favorite spa in Queens. Their entry fee at this time is $35 which is fair and they give you a bracelet with a key to use to lock up your belongings in the locker. I felt like the baths and saunas in the locker room didn't look too clean which kind of turned me away but I still got into them. They have around 3 hot small baths and 1 cold bath and 2 saunas. The back area is where you can get a massage and Korean scrub. I got a Korean scrub with a 30 minute massage and I really enjoyed it. For the price, I would probably get it again. I found the eating area and saunas on the upstairs floor to be much nicer than the basement. They have around 6 saunas, lounge chairs to relax or take a nap. Their food was pretty decent; I got two dishes and thought the quality and flavor was overall very tasty and they came with plenty of sides. I do prefer going to Spa Castle.

Came here to destress. The korean bathhouse is $35 admission. I also got the $100 scrub and massage service. Tax and tip is included. I arrived around 10am and waited about 30 minutes in the bath area until I was able to get serviced. After i was finished, I noticed more people came in and there was a long list of services. They aren't "scheduled" so you'll have to wait until someone calls you over. I'd recommend coming early. The food options are great. The menu has a variety of korean dishes and they ranged from $16-$20. I ordered the tteokguk, rice came soup, and it came with banchan. It was delicious and warming. I also tried shik hye for the first time, a sweet rice drink. theres no quiet area really. The cafeteria is not separated from the lounge chairs. Also, it gets extremely warm and doesnt seem to be any ventilation. When i got really warm, i'd go to the cold room. I visited the cold room several times. At one point, the cold room seemed to be melting. And the ceiling could use some love. Overall, if you need a quick getaway and arent able to go to King Spa, It doesnt hurt coming here. But i'd recommend lowering expectations and standards a bit.

I agree with what a lot of reviews have written- at least on the women's side- the water really does smell strongly of bleach and chlorine so your whole body will reek of it. The food was so so- a pricey for what they offered. The common area saunas were really nice and enjoyable.

Came here on mother's day. Receptionist the night before said no reservation needed. What happens next, see my review.

Came here on mother's day. I called the day before to make a reservation. I was told a reservation was not necessary. So, I got up, got ready and looked forward to my experience. Unfortunately, upon arrival we (my friend & I) were told that we could pay the $30 admission fee but would not be able to get any of the services. E.G., body scrub, massage, facial or any of the added services as they were backlogged. I asked how long was the waiting period, the receptionist was unable to answer. She suggested that we return in 4 to 5 hours but could not give a guarantee that we would get any of the services. The receptionist (Jane) did take my phone number and said she would call. I want to give this establishment a chance, so I'm going to go and have lunch and try again later. It's later and I'm updating Well like promised Jane called while we were having dinner. We finished dinner and headed to the spa. This is one of the most relaxing experiences in one of the cleanest establishments with everyone working there focused and courteous and professional service. We entered and paid the $30 admission fee and was given a towel, washcloth and uniform rolled in a paper wrapper. We also received a key with a bar code to be used to pay for services. Before entering the spa, you must remove your shoes and either place them on the shelving at reception or your locker. The floor is heated and that was a pleasant surprise. We went down to our assigned locker undressed and showered. The hot and cool pool was heavenly (if you're getting a scrub, I'd recommend doing that first for best results). For the scrub you lay on a plastic covered table and warm water is splashed on you. The attendant then proceeded to scrub away dead skin I didn't realize I had. When she finished my skin was glowing and soft like a babies bottom (literally!) Next time I'll add the massage which includes an oil rub with hot towels. I can't wait! After the scrub we put on the comfortable uniform and went upstairs. There were lounge chairs, a salt, mineral, Jewelry and ice room. A tv room, restaurant with healthy juices available for purchase using your bracelet. You can stay as long as you like and even take a nap if you'd like. I will definitely return!

Ice room is not working is cold but not cold enough

We told them that they were used and they took another 30 min to clean and set up. Then when we laid in the room, we waited for another 30 min for a total of 2.5 hours. We had a dinner reservation for mother's Day and had to push it twice to fit this booking in. When I was trying to see if it was possible to make an appointment on the same day, the receptionist said I can just pay at the spa, instead of getting a Groupon deal (probably because Groupon takes out some portion as commission). I was really hesitant because I've paid the spa directly before and when the service was terrible, I couldn't get Groupon customer service protection. Since this spa allowed me to split 3 facial package with my husband, I agreed to pay the spa directly. We were 10 minutes late because there just wasn't any parking available around Main Street, but the receptionist was very understanding and said don't worry about being late. Once we got there, we were in a couple room and got changed and got started right away. I had Tina and my husband had Zoe - they were both professional and extraction and décolletage massage was nice. They didn't push us to upgrade the service and my husband and I were so comfortable that we both fell asleep and snored. I definitely had a better product and techniques before and I would rate this place more like 4.5 stars, but since the customer service was great, I'm leaving 5 stars. *Tip: pay in cash because if you use your credit card, tax will be charged.

I came on a groupon, in my search to find my new regular spot, but honestly was rather disappointed. The products used are ok - Keve and Collin - some generic spa stuff (did not see any commercial stuff like Vaseline or other drug store brands, as you might at some other cheap spas). My facial was actually somewhat torturous -- the facial massage is just so rough and not at all relaxing or rejuvenating. I felt like the facialist was trying to force moisture back into my poor dry skin. The extractions were fine, on the properly aggressive side. I HATE that they use razor to do eyebrows - no reason not to pluck, esp as I wasn't that overgrown! I would not return, though packages run from as low as about $35 per facial in a package of 10.

Last Wednesday, we visited from around 3:30 PM to 8:30 PM (they close at 9:30 PM), so we were mindful not to rush them or their closing shift. Overall, the spa experience itself was good. The facilities were fine, and the food was absolutely chef's kiss as always -- that part never disappoints. I also understand that prices have gone up, and while Spa Castle is now priced similarly to SoJo Spa, I didn't mind paying more since everything else in life has also gone up. However, the experience was completely ruined at the very end. When we were about to leave, we realized there were no hair dryers at all -- not even one. Yes, you read that right: a spa with NO hair dryers. I asked the three ladies at the front desk if there were any hair dryers available, and they told me, "We don't have any. Customers steal them." I was shocked. That is not the customer's responsibility -- it's the spa's responsibility to manage and replace basic amenities. A hair dryer is a basic service at any spa, especially in winter, when it's cold outside and people cannot walk out with wet hair. When we went to check out, a male and a female staff member were at the counter. The man asked how our experience was, and I honestly said everything was fine except for the fact that there were no hair dryers, which was very disappointing. He looked at the female staff member, and she said, "We do have one hair dryer. Did you ask them?" I told her yes -- we asked twice, and three employees told us there were none. Instead of apologizing or trying to help, her tone was rude and dismissive. There was no effort to resolve the issue or even acknowledge how uncomfortable and unfair that situation was. No spa should send guests out into the cold with wet hair after they paid full price for the experience. Sadly, the lack of basic amenities and the unprofessional attitude at the front desk completely ruined what could have been a great visit. I was very disappointed, especially as someone who has supported Spa Castle for years. At this point, I would rather go to King Spa or SoJo Spa, where customer service and basic spa standards are taken seriously. Very upsetting experience, and sadly, I don't think I'll be returning.
