My mom and I went for a 1-hour body massage for $48, and we both loved it! The pressure was strong, just the way we like it. Hot stones and cupping were included at no extra charge, although my mom chose to opt out of the cupping. The place was clean, and one thing I really appreciated was that the massage bed and towels were fresh and odor-free, which is a huge plus for me. Overall, it was a great experience, and we'll definitely be back if we're ever in Flushing again! read more

Decided to try Vemax Beauty Spa since my usual massage place was booked up. Based on the reviews, I was optimistic that the massage would go well but it was mediocre at best. I opted for a 60 minute massage, and was led down the stairs to a small room with just the bare minimum in there. The massage itself was just not great. I requested for the masseuse to focus on my shoulders, and the request went largely ignored. When she did massage the area, it wasn't relaxing - it was just painful! When the massage was finished, they didn't offer towels or anything to help with wiping away excess oils. Cash & card are both accepted. Walk ins are welcome. There is a bit of a language barrier. read more

I was looking for a head spa to visit in Flushing when my friend came to town. I've been to a couple others, but I always like trying a new spot. I saw on Google that Vemax Beauty Spa had a 1 hour bodywork / 1 hour scalp treatment special for $79.99. We visited on a weekday early afternoon without an appointment and were the only people there. They treated us like queens! We started downstairs with massages. They put us together since we're friends, but they have curtain dividers between beds if you are solo. The bodywork was very intense--they really worked on your knots, and a few times I had to tell them to use less pressure. I had asked about cupping, which they included for free. That's the only part I'd skip again. I've had cupping before, but the suction was too strong this time. After our massages, we went back upstairs for our scalp treatments and head/shoulder massages. Again, there were curtains separating each bed, but they can put you together if you're with friends. I was completely in heaven with the scalp massage. It felt like it lasted longer than an hour somehow. After our scalp treatment, they gave us a rough, quick blow-dry and loaded up our purses with candy and little stuffed animals. The women who treated us were so so sweet and I will definitely make a trip back there. read more

I called at 1pm to ask if I was able to come in at 2:30pm. They said yes so I came. I arrived at 2:15, I was sat at the waiting area and they were able to service me at 2:45. Which was 15 minutes late. No big deal. Service was good. Definitely recommended to come treat yourself once in a while. read more

You must come here! The employees are all so kind and do an excellent job! I came for the scalp therapy and it was the most relaxing experience -- they do most than just your scalp with a quick arm/hand massage, shoulder massage and face wash/mask/moisturizer too!!! I definitely will be back soon! Heads up, they have curtains between each of the beds so you are in a private space, but not physical rooms. Totally fine with me, but I know some people prefer a personal room. I would love to come back for the scalp therapy/facial combo or the back massage/scalp therapy combo. And when you are done, you can get some excellent dumplings, buns or boba tea nearby! read more

Clean and cute salon, great for a thorough hair wash and a relaxing head massage. We made an appointment for a Saturday night for the advanced head therapy and loved it. Employees and kind and polite. Very accommodating and always checking in on water temperature and pressure. Occasional chit-chat between the employees so it's not dead silent but overall peaceful. Hair feels so soft. We'll be back! read more

A complete steal compared to other beauty salons in Flushing for *some* items. It's worth taking a look at the services you're interested in beforehand to make sure the price is worth it for you, and leave some room for tip. My friends and I were here for the head spa, which was $48 for 50 minutes and generally speaking a great experience. It wasn't sketchy at all, the staff was really nice, and it wasn't a problem that we don't speak Chinese well. The only thing I would change is that they went a bit too hard on the ear portion. As a part of the head spa, they did some ear cleansing that caused our ears to bleed later on. I would ask them to skip that part next time, but would still go back. read more

I've come to vemax on serval occasions and have had such a wonderful experience. I've recommended this place to several of my friends and they also agree. The vibe to welcoming, clean and especially relaxing. It's a definite must! read more

I had a wonderful experience here! I booked an appointment the same day and even though I arrived early, they were able to take me immediately. The staff was kind and the entire experience was super relaxing - I fell asleep toward the end! I did the H3, which includes a head treatment / massage and foot wash. The wash is incredibly thorough - my hair is feeling so soft and silky. I'd also just note I didn't get a confirmation for the appointment so I forgot what time it was - but otherwise great experience! read more

I had a fantastic experience at the spa. I didn't have an appiontment but luckily they were able to accomodate me. I had both a massage and head therapy and I enjoyed them thoroughly. My therapist was very friendly, kind and accomodating. read more

After my positive experience last time, I took both my mom and my sister back to Vemax for a group session. My mom and my sister walked out of their sessions refreshed and wow-ed by their experience. I requested Cici for my massage and, as expected, she was wonderful. I told her I have had long hours of sitting in front of a computer for my work and she ended up putting a lot of pressure and attention into working out the knots in my shoulders + neck + upper back. I cannot wait to go back. read more

If you're looking for a place to pamper yourself while you can get a bang for the buck this is the right place to be. We booked an appointment for a Saturday afternoon and they seemed busy so appointments are encouraged. Once we walked into the place the lady offered us tea and to use the bathroom. Two of us were then walked to the basement for our full body massage while our friend was getting the hair massage upstairs. The masseuse were professional and asked which area to focus more on during the body massage. The hair massage felt pretty nice and relaxing. I will definitely come back for another massage :) read more

Omg my daughter and I just finished our appointment and it surpassed our expectations. We originally tried to get an appointment at another place that was viral all over tiktok but they didn't have any availability for my bday today. I'm so glad they didn't because I wouldn't have discovered this place! The staff here are the sweetest and most nicest set of women. As soon as you walk in, you're hit with such a nice smelling aroma, tranquil music and dim lights. My daughter has 3B hair since she is half black and they did an outstanding job. We loved the massage, facial, scalp massage and everything overall. This will for sure be our only place to go to. Thank you so much! read more

Went to get a head/scalp treatment as a walk in, it was very peaceful and perfectly priced. The service was great, the space was clean, and the staff were very friendly and polite read more

You need this massage in your life! When you walk in, there are several beds with curtains. The curtain provides privacy. I came in for a massage for my scalp, which is not a soft massage. You will get a massage, but it feels great afterward. I booked for myself the 60-minute head massage. I really recommend this place. It's clean and comfortable. It's my second time coming here, and I love the experience. Great customer service. read more

The head massage and the whole service was wonderful. Including the price. I didn't give the 5 stars due to the excessive talking both therapists were doing. They were not only talking but speaking loudly as well. It was very hard to be relaxed. The overall experience was nice, nice soft hair and feet. Would do this again but sadly not at this location read more

What I can say is I got here when it grand opened, got a good deal, had my hair wash here including facial care, best thing about it is that it's only 1 block away from where I work out at the gym. Staff are super friendly, I did this wormwood thing on my eye, honestly it felt really good stress relief . Facial was amazing great experience definitely looks clean . Last thing I have to say is the price it is "Super" affordable compare to other store I definitely recommend read more

Please be aware that their special of $80 for 1 hour head therapy and 1 hour massage they will ask you for $30 tip which is over 20%. Other than that massage was good and everyone was very polite. I don't think I will go back. read more

Great experience and great price ! Will be back! Lili was her name and the head massage was so nice and the shampoo and conditioner left my bleach blonde hair feeling a nice refresh ! read more

this is my second time here and I sadly was disappointed. the service was rushed and yet I was the only client there, the scalp massage was a few mins out of the whole 50 min service and the woman spent more time shampoo and scratching my scalp which is not at all comfortable. I won't be returning and I wish I could say better. I don't ever do reviews but they need to step it up read more

This place is AMAZING! After booking an appointment, I came here for a simple facial. When I laid down on the bed for the facial I smelled a bit of sanitizer, which honestly made me feel better knowing they sanitized the surface. With COVID-19 being an issue still, I was very nervous having someone be so close to my face. Yet I felt very safe here with the safety measures they have. Honestly for the service I received, pricing was very fair. I will most definitely be back here again. read more

I recommend this place because the staff are polite and professional while being also friendly and making me feel well attended to. There is a refreshing facial that is something different and fun using methods I had not even heard of before. I especially liked the way the moving water rinse felt on my face and neck as they were rinsed with warm water by an arm that passes by over me. But more than that I enjoyed the person who gave me the facial. read more

I have tried a lot of spa in this area, but a lot of them are no good either the bad attitude or the way how they provide the service. But here staffs are very friendly and professional. Great experience here. Highly recommended read more

Great place, recommended for massages and for a nice relaxing time after an intense gym session. This place is clean (which is especially important in Covid times), the workers are nice and very helpful. Even though I barely speak any Chinese, they try their best to help. read more

A good couple massage. Better than avg. But MTs talked the most of the massage. Took away the peace. They did not Provide relaxing spa music and do not massage feet. : ( what a bummer to find out after I signed up for full body massage. I Guess they do not consider feet part of the body. My job i am on my feet so was very disappointing to find out after. Did not disclose no feet when we signed up. I cannot return bc massaging my feet is a huge part of why i want a massage. The MTs spent the first 15 mins pressing a white cloth towel down on me. Strange getting a massage thru a towel. I was hoping this wouldn't be a towel massage the entire massage. Then MT finally put oil and started massaging. So really paid for a 40 min massage when supposed to be a 60 min massage because ended abt 5 min early. I gave a tip and they wanted more of a tip. I said nogo and left. Place was Not really dirty but not really clean either. MTs were nice I would have given a 4.5 rating if the place was a lil cleaner, they didn't talk, played relaxing music and gave me a full 60 min massage that I paid for. $ is as impt to me as to them. Oh well. read more

Very unprofessional service. Got headaches after the massage. The employees that work there talking very loud and chat with each other during the massage. I can't even enjoy the massage, not even close to a standard Spa & Massage environment. Very unpleasant experience. Required a $10 minimum tip on $55 service even though the service is below average. Not recommend at all. read more
