    General Tso Chicken
    Chris W.

We needed a late takeout dinner at 8pm and Chinese sounded perfect. Food was good and the COVID procedures were phenomenal. Inside seating was closed and they created a temporary order counter that keeps contact to a minimum while ordering. It comes with sanitizer so you can clean after using pen to sign check. Staff were wearing masks. They are not always standing at order counter but have provided a door bell to ring to bring them up front. THE FOOD - General Tso chicken is my go-to order at Chinese restaurants. It's breaded, fried chicken in a soy based sauce. The recipe here was good, but didn't make my top ten list for Chinese restaurants. It was a bit blander in flavor that what I would prefer. That said, I still enjoyed my meal. - Steamed dumplings are my daughters favorite. These were good. The noodle was tender and the meat filling was plentiful and delicious. I don't know why Chinese restaurants don't typically identify the meat used but I suppose that is part of the adventure. I'd guess it was pork.

I was out on some deliveries the other day and my work brought me to Salin a charming little area and I was excited to try some of the local cuisine. I asked a customer where I could get some good food fast that was not fast food. She said Gui Lin so I looked up there menu and made my decision. I decided to try the hot pepper chicken as I was craving a Spicer dish that particular afternoon. I arrived about 15 minutes later and approached the counter to pay. The young lady behind the counter said "oh your just in time we just got it ready for you." So I paid and picked up the bag full of fresh food. It smelled amazing it smelled slightly spicy and a combination of slightly sweet and savory. The taste of the dish tasted much like it smelled it was sweet, savory, and spicy. It was loaded up with veggies such as onions, peppers, and dried chilis. It was moderately priced at 10 dollars but it was money well spent and I hope to be delivering in the area again in the near future.

Now this is what I'm talking about! I usually eat cashew chicken here but the Singapore noodles need special note here. Not greasy, thin rice noodles are fluffy and the curry is nicely done; even medium spicy is fine. I enjoy the meat buns and the egg drop soup. While I usually eat in, I ordered online on a rainy day. Food was ready when I drove to pick up food. just signed credit card slip, added tip and all done! Easy! Food was still hot when I got home. Damn that was good eats!

We go there pretty often. Decent prices and food is quite good. Never have eaten inside the place. Looks a little drab.

Don't expect the world's best anything - you are picking up freshly-cooked food defensively - anything you get here will be better than the gas station taquitos or the Arby's roast beef sandwich binge you will regret in 30 minutes. But to be clear, it's not going to be particularly great. Something about the time of day that I pass by through this area gets me so excited to toss in a pickup order just to see what I get. The Singapore-style Mei Fun is reliable. Get it plain without the Singapore curry spice if you're more suspicious. lol. Anything like String Beans with Garlic, or Beef with Broccoli, is going to be perfectly acceptable for a road warrior like you. The location, consistency, and ease of triangulation with regards to ordering over the phone (or having your shotgun passenger order) about 10 minutes before you reach this Hwy exit merits a solid 4-star review. The food is 3-star ish, but the mere existence of this place warrants a bonus "Oasis" star.

Not sure, but I was excited to come here and try the food. It was a thousand out of ten. We ordered so much, the server was in shock, but we reassured her we were taking most home. I also feel like I should comment on food waste. I am the leftover queen, and this amount of food supplied ten portions (meals) for us over time and was completely finished. I saw they had two locations, but I decided to try the Ypsilanti location. The people working here were very friendly and helpful. I basically ordered half of the appetizer section since there was so much delicious choices to try. I had the sticky rice shumai, roti with curry, spicy wantons, pan fried pork buns, chicken egg rolls, crispy pork lion roll, and Korean wings (not pictured since I got an additional carry-out for my kid). We also ordered Dan Dan noodles , pad Thai, and sesame chicken. The food was all so delicious. The Dan Dan noodles were the best I have had in a long time. I love that it was not too spicy, the egg was a great addition, and I do like cilantro. The sesame chicken was huge and so crispy. I liked the pad Thai, but my husband was a bit disappointed and felt it needed a little more spice or flavor. The portions were huge, which is how we got so many meals out of the food. I loved the spicy oil on the wantons. The pan fried bus were amazing, fluffy with a slight crisp. the Korean wings had a great flavor and I liked the shumai a lot. I love how chewy the roti was, the sauce could have been thicker, but I enjoyed the curry. Everything was so good, I am not sure what I liked the most. It was an adorable place with huge portions and good prices. I really hope to stop back in again, and yes, I will probably order a ton again to enjoy there as well as at home.

I also like their sweet and sour sauce and the cream cheese Rangoon. Spring rolls are tasty too. What did not like was: Disappointed on the quality of their orange pealed chicken and vegetable fried rice. The chicken was long thick and very little chicken most of it was the fried breading surrounding the chicken. Also most of the chicken was over fried inside so that was also disappointed. The vegetable fried rice had minimal signs of egg almost none at all. The only thing I liked was the cream cheese wantons, they are labeled as crab Rangoon but I saw no crab in it bc they were highly over filled with cream cheese which I had to remove half of it bc it was saturated. I can honestly say it would be quite a while before I decide to give it bother try. It's been a full year since the last time we order from here and it was only because I forgot what it was like.
