This is a long time Inwood favorite but I never tried it before. My old roommate and I decided to grab breakfast burritos here after a stroll through the farmers market. I was unimpressed.. Coming from LA's amazing breakfast burritos, this place pales in comparison. Now I know, NY wins as far as pizza and bagels go but LA wins when it comes to donuts, tacos, and breakfast burritos.

Wanted a quick bite and do not regret making a stop here. Chorizo tacos were absolutely delicious. They also do all day breakfast and a plethora of items from burgers to pancakes, along with what you'd expect at a Mexican joint. Friendly service, unbeatable prices.

The most amazing breakfast burrito I've ever had. I still dream about it. Service was quick and efficient. Need to make my way to G's

Went here as a babish fangirl. The hour long subway ride was so worth it. The breakfast burrito was TRULY delish! I do not eat pork so I did chicken + veggie and I was not disappointed. I'm from Texas so I feel my tastes are pretty reliable on what's a good burrito or not lol. The green sauce/salsa was tasty, not at all spicy for my southern palate, but the owner told me that for NYers it's plenty hot lol. The owners are really sweet, conversational and offer great service here! The building itself is very small and quaint, very much so hole-in-the-wall vibes. Overall great experience, I'm very happy they got the attention. They certainly deserve it (:

This is not a review of the food (excellent), the service (fantastic), or the price (incredible). This is just a reflection on the circumstances that brought me here, on a Wednesday afternoon. I live 250 blocks away. I was born 80 miles away. I grew up 2700 miles away. By no means was I supposed to end up here, in Inwood, on this day, at this time, with this burrito. I did not plan on it, dream of it, or hope for it. But here I am. And I'm happy I'm here. I look forward to the burritos I have yet to eat. The breakfast burrito with chorizo is def worth the hype!!!! Cheesy, a little spicy, and with potatoes. If you're like me and need a little crunch/texture in your life, I would try the burrito with bacon instead. But it was still the perfect lazy Sunday breakfast.

This unassuming bodega in Washington Heights is a hidden treasure. I indulged in a breakfast burrito packed with potatoes, chorizo, and avocado for under $10, and it is hands down the best bang-for-your-buck breakfast burrito in the city. The rich, savory flavors took me back to my Southwest roots. The staff were exceptionally friendly and patient, despite the tempting array of other menu options. If you're in the neighborhood, you must try the breakfast burrito at least once.

Y'all. Chiming in to validate the many reviews about how the chorizo breakfast burrito is the truth and how you are definitely missing out if you've never stepped foot in this place. I order it with everything and ask for it "well done." While I still wish the potatoes were crispy, that would only make it 11 stars. It's already a perfect ten! It's pretty filling-- If I have it around 11a, I'm set until late dinner time. What more could you want? I haven't felt the need to expand my horizons and order other stuff because the cravings for this burrito are still strong...but soon. Thank you, G's, for being a real one!

Every neighborhood has a fulcrum point: the immovable spot around which retail life is anchored and the social scene buzzes. G's--tiny for restaurants, even by Manhattan standards, and easy to miss (even the "G" on sign outside has faded to near invisibility) - is the fulcrum point for Inwood. Patrons fly in and out of this sliver of a bodega on the corner of 207th St. and Cooper for lottery tix, a pack of gum, and the food. And one item in particular. G's offers three menus: (1) the standard diner fare of breakfast omelets, lunch sandwiches and grilled burgers; (2) the 'Sides Menu' of fries, onion rings, & mozzarella sticks; and (3) the Mexican Menu. Skip the first two--they are distractions--and go straight for the Mexican fare. And once you've done that focus in, regardless the time of day, on the Breakfast Burrito. This is comida del cielo - a perfect combo of chorizo, home fries, avocado slices, scrambled eggs, and pepper jack. Wash it down with a Lime Jamalito and grab two Mantecado cookies on your way out. One to eat during your trip back downtown on the A train and another to nibble on later in the week and evoke powerful memories of this hidden, wonderful spot near the tip of Manhattan.

I haven't been here in a few years. But I can today for an egg sandwich in multi-grain bread with avocado and it was so fresh. The food was very good. They're friendly and give good service. Will be back.

Probably the best taco spot I've accidentally discovered. G's Coffee Shop has such a warm spot in my heart and tummy. Fast, reliable, great taste and veggie options! Whether coming home exhausted or going out on the town, G's has always been there. I like to think of it as a one stop shop supplying most of your bodega needs and then some. They do other meals like breakfast sandwiches and alike but those veggie tostadas have me by the wrist. The place is cozy but seems to have high traffic regardless of the size. Proven to be an asset to the community.

Probably the best brussels I have ever had in my life and I'm not even that much a fan of the veggie. I've ordered the salt/brown sugar latte twice now. The first time, I got it iced and it was extremely salty and just wasn't a good latte at all. This time around, I ordered it hot and asked them to ease up on the salt since last time it was very salty, they eased up on it and it was such a great latte, I was so happy with it! I've gotten the chicken and waffles twice as well! I'm a big fan of guava infused butter and got two with my order. Generally the chicken and waffles are a HIT, but the waffles tasted a bit off to me this time around. I think it could mainly be that I was focused on how surprisingly good the brussels and coffee were, that I wasn't too focused on anything else. Service is pretty ehh to me at this place. Love that so far each time I've gone at different times and during different seasons, it's never too packed. Even when it is, it doesn't feel like it. I have not tried the dinner, just the brunch! Brunch is def a go too, can't wait to go again! Also, have not had a cocktail here, but looking forward to trying to hibiscus mule next!

In the front area, it is a normal cafe vibe with comfy and utilitarian seats. In the back, there is a lounge vibe, I am not of the exact WiFi password but it is something like no laptops in the backroom. I also noticed a sign today that said no laptops after 5 pm in this area which is the standard cafe area not the back room. Over the past two years, the backroom has definitely expanded to have a bar. Food/Drink: We have had a various drinks, lattes hot and cold. The Bourbon Pecan Latte is a long time special and favorite. They take their time to make high quality drinks and put them in mugs if you are eating in. They also heat up the food items. The Parisian, Turkey, ham and Swiss on a croissant was good with their cruller and pistachio croissant. We also tried the Cardamon bun too Service: The level of friendliness at this place feels elusive because there are some regulars who get a warm welcome since we are irregulars and stop by from time to time. They are kind of Brooklyn-type friendly which is welcoming and kind but at the same time cool in a hipster utilitarian way which is not a negative way of looking. It is what it is. Overall: I am a huge fan of the vibe and energy. The backroom is the star to relax with your drinks and food. They also seem to have events at night which sound cool.
