I called Louie on Monday afternoon to ask for an estimate for a grout repair. If you have ever dealt with a contractor before, you can imagine my shock when he actually answered the phone. And then, he was actually polite! But it gets even better: he said he would be in my neighborhood on Tuesday for a job and could either stop by before or after to give me an estimate. He then called me Tuesday morning to confirm. He was super polite in person, summarized my options for the repair, then we agreed he could fit the job in on Friday. He called me back that afternoon and said he had finished his other job early and could come by to fix my grout right then if it was convenient for me. I had Louie clean up, re-grout and polish our 25 years old bathtub and shower tile walls, and he did a great job! He is also doing backsplash installation in our kitchen. He is doing amazing work! Loui came by my house in a short notice and looked at the water issue in my shower that runs through the tile into the cement board (hardie-backer). He told me to try reseal and regrout first before having the shower wall redone (as per 3 other contractors suggestions). And thanks to his suggestion, problem was as simple as resealing the tile (house is ~50 years old) likely because the previous owner never maintained the house well. Reseal and (minor) regrout costed me $100 instead of $1500 redoing the shower. read more

Few months ago, we had a water issue. The plumber initially thought the water leakage was caused by aged caulking of our guest bathroom's bathtub surround. Called Louie and he was able to come earlier than scheduled. He has done an excellent job in re-caulking the whole bathtub surrounding area including inside of the glass sliding door. And he also re-caulk the bathtub of our master bedroom as well. I am really happy with his work and his charges was reasonable. I probably will call him to re-caulk my master bath again if I wish to change the color of the caulk. At the end, the plumber realized the water issue was not caused by the caulking but I was still glad that Louie has re-caulked both bathtubs for me. Thank you for your work! read more

Louie did an excellent job repair two cracked tiles on our kitchen countertop behind our range. He was able to match the tile exactly, and the replaced tiles are seamless. Louie did cleaning and sealing of a walk in shower, tub area and kitchen several months ago. He is excellent in his work, punctual, polite, reasonable prices and best of all is very honest. Recently, I wanted to replace a small area of the baseboard near my shower with tile. When Louie came by, he gave his opinion that tiling that space will not yield the desired results and suggested replacing the wood board and caulking the surround. Although he drove quite a way to my place, instead of just bagging the work, he provided the right advice - very credible and I highly recommend. Louie Leahu did a super job on 4 jobs. 1. 10 year old tiled shower: Cleaned , repaired , fixed grout and sealed tiles. Looks almost new. 2. Kitchen Sink: Made my wife happy as can be be grouting and sealing around the kitchen sink with Epoxy grout rather than the normal silicone calking which eventually turns black. The Epoxy grout will not get moldy and last 15 years instead of 2-5 years for silicone 3. Kitchen Tile counter: Cleaned and did a minor grout repair. 4 . I contacted GroutFix via email and sent pictures of our entry way tile (marble), I received a response with an estimate shortly. I thought that maybe we needed it to be re-grouted but Louie recommended cleaning and repairing the existing grout. He was also able to schedule the appt within a couple of weeks. He came with one other person and they cleaned and patched the grout in our entry way and in front of our fireplace. They did a great job, it looks new!! We had a very poor installation of epoxy grout by our tile installer a year ago. We checked in with a lot of people and got recommendations from tear the whole thing out and start over, to grind out the grout and replace to apply a sealant. Louie gave us the greatest confidence that our year long problem could be resolved with the sealant. This was also the least expensive option and we felt it was worth trying.
