After an incredible…read moreheadache dealing with a burst pipe and some very unsavory contractors who wouldn't commit to a timeline, yelled at me for calling him and outright lied to me I was SCARRED and very untrusting (check my profile for who you DON'T want to work with!). However, I can confidently say that Diego + his team like restored my faith in contractors and humanity lol. 1) He's very honest about money. He didn't even ask for a deposit before he started work - and I actually didn't even pay him the deposit until his team had already spent a day working at my house! (I literally kept asking him when I could pay him and he said no problem! Don't worry about it until I tell you!) He also was spot on with his estimates - I paid NO ADDITIONAL FEES OR LAST MINUTE ADD ONS. 2) His quotes are very reasonable, especially when you consider how quick, efficient and polite his entire team is! He said he would be able to get my shower done in 1 week and HE DID IT! Other people were saying 6 weeks, 2 months, crazy estimates. 3) He is super responsive, polite and friendly - he promptly responded to my text messages, gave me good advice on grout colors and tiles but also respected my wishes when I had them. It was just a pleasure to communicate with him, super easy and pleasant. 4) His team was very thorough, clean and respectful of my property - the first thing they did when they came in was lay down protective paper so that my hardwood floors wouldn't get scratched. The last thing they did was take off the protective paper and tape and then sweep my floors to make sure all the dust that had been tracked in was disposed of. This was in stark contrast to my mitigation company that had broken my shower glass and then didn't even clean up the very dangerous shards of glass around my house - don't even mention laying down any protective surfaces. 5) He was honest about what his team is good at - one of my walls wasn't level and Diego's team said I needed someone to drywall it to make it level so the tiles didn't look all janky. I asked Diego if he could do it and he said that a bigger drywall job like that isn't really what is team does and I ended up finding someone else to do it. He said they did a good job and that I should have them 6) Diego and his team have high integrity and I felt very safe with them - within a day, I felt so safe and comfortable with them that I was OK having them at my house without me. I never thought I'd be in that position after watching all the previous contractors work extremely closely because I didn't feel like I could trust them to be honest, effective, respectful or clean. (Granted, I had Ring cameras inside and my neighbors looking out for me but I was gone!) I did not have anything stolen or taken - contrast again to other contractors who 'accidentally' took my tools (although they did return it when I provided photo/video evidence of the theft). 7) His whole team was effective, professional, friendly and polite as well! Everyone showed up at my house with a smile, did their work so effectively and well. I am super OCD and really couldn't find anything to pick at. I could go on and on about how awesome they are. And I'm super happy to answer questions if anyone has them and be a reference! I messaged one of the reviewers here before committing to Mr. Tile and that helped me making a decision since it sounded too good to be true after my shitty past experiences. But anyways, tldr; CANNOT RECOMMEND MORE! If I EVER need tiling, flooring, etc. done I would 1000% have Diego + team do it!!! I would trust nobody else. Really the best contractors I've ever worked with and just high integrity, honest, pleasant people!! You will be in safe hands with Mr Tile!!!

My man rented a wet saw from there for around $30 per day that made installation a breeze. Both our bathroom and flooring are beautiful thanks to T-4-L!

When I sought estimates for this carpet replacement project on Yelp, Hardwood Plus was the first and fastest reply. Erik showed up on time and quickly gathered the information he needed while explaining some of the things that could go wrong, like leveling issues or finding something unexpected beneath the old carpet. He promptly provided a quote, and kept in touch via text message (a huge perk for phone call-averse people like me). When we visited the showroom to pick out the carpet and sheet vinyl pattern, it came as a relief that Erik was not interested in upselling - he'd present options, explain the pros and cons of each, and trusted us to make our own decisions. The first issue occurred on the installation day, when Erik messaged me to say the carpet had not arrived yet. He was apologetic and explained what had happened, but we would still have to wait another week for it to arrive. The second issue occurred after his team removed my old carpet: they found the tiles underneath contained asbestos and needed to be sealed, for an additional cost. This added another day to the sheet vinyl install, but this was a possibility he had mentioned early on. The team also accidentally broke my dryer vent, but Erik agreed to fix it with absolutely no fuss. Finally, there were a few little bubbles in the sheet vinyl I had to push out. But now that it's all done, I am absolutely over the moon with how great my new floor looks, and how delightfully plush the new carpet on the stairs and guest room is! Family and I couldn't be happier. I'll certainly recommend Andy's to my friends.

We went to Andy's 5 Star Flooring in Bothell due to a recommendation from a friend after a failed…read moreattempt for a quote with one of the big box stores. Our job was replacing flooring on the top floor of a split level that included removing tile in the entry and kitchen. We knew our flooring under the carpet was subpar from the carpet install 24 years prior and we expressed this to the salesman from Andy's several times. He assured us they could fix it. The measure, product choices and quote all went smoothly and we had an install date set for 1 month out in October. We started moving furniture downstairs in preparation. The day before the product delivery the sales rep from Andy's told us that it had not arrived. We were given a new install date in November but when the date arrived, same story. Now our install date was early December. The Sales Rep from Andy's apologized and added free furniture move due to the delays so we left our 4 pieces of leather furniture upstairs. Again, no product and install was set for Monday after Christmas. The initial install attempts had been scheduled for a 4 day install but this one was only for 3 and during a holiday week. On day of install, crew didn't show up until after 10am and left about 5pm. The install crew was short one person and had forgotten the tool to remove tile. Someone delivered it several hours later. Removing the tile created tons of dust. None of our furniture, countertops or appliances were covered. The installer complained constantly about our floor level and that he didn't have enough time to do a good job although the crew were very seldom here for a full 8 hours. The 3rd day they left at 4pm as it was New Year's Eve. They had to come back New Year's Day to complete the install. Bottom line we are happy with the final product result. We don't know if the problems of material delivery were in fact the product company or Andy's incompetence. We will place the problems with install on Andy's as they did not give the installers adequate time to do a good job. Especially during a holiday week. We were left with a HUGE mess to clean up with tile dust thick on our furniture, walls, appliances, kitchen, etc. Our free furniture moving for compensation was not performed. We also had to have the installer come back later to clean up glue that was smeared on the new flooring. Although the Andy's rep was communicative and easy to reach, I would not recommend Andy's.

When we had questions or any concerns, they were quick to call, give tips, and come back to assess or change something based on our preferences. During the process some unanticipated issues came up and they showed flexibility and willingness to change the scope of the project and schedule accordingly. They are detail oriented. After we had them reinstall all baseboards there was one place we were not quite happy, they came back and fixed it. The end result was beautiful and it had been a great experience working with Serhii and his family crew! Northwest Flooring is definitely at the top of my list for any of our future hardwood flooring needs!

After some research I hired GroutFix to clean, seal, re-caulk & restore a master bath shower in my home in Sammamish, WA. The price was great and the scheduling was easy, but that's where the "good" ends. Louie and one other individual showed up and spent roughly three hours at my home providing the service. The results were less than satisfactory and completely contrary with the Company's own information related to Cleaning and Sealing. From the Company's web site: "Clean & Seal Grout and Tiles get dirty with time especially in showers. We can professionally Clean your grout and tiles, in your kitchen, bathroom, floors, and exteriors. Whether you have Ceramic Tile, Travertine, Porcelain Tile, Slate Tile, Glass Tile, we can make them look new again, then apply a sealer that will protect your tile and grout for up to five years." The part of the above statement that is of particular interest is the "we can make them look new again". My specific issue with the work performed was that many of the glass tiles in my shower SILL have some kind of film/buildup on them even after the restoration work was performed. When I pointed this out to Louie he stated that it was hard water stains. I said OK, but did you try to remove the hard water stains with an appropriate hard water stain remover based on your experience. The answer I got was "I didn't say I would remove stains from your glass tiles". Well, OK then...enough said. Based on my experience I would not hire Louie and his company to do any work in my home. This is the second time we have used GroutFix. Louie and his guys are professional, on time, and will look for ways to save you money. We had them come to our home in Issaquah and remove tile to fix a shower with a mysterious leak that was draining through our floor and out of the ceiling below. We had a plumber come first to investigate the leak and determined it was in the shower drain. When the GroutFix guys arrived, they quickly determined that the leak was actually originating from a separate part of the shower plumbing. They could have easily tore up the whole shower, but these guys have integrity and were interested in fixing the problem at the lowest possible cost to the client (us). After discovering the true source of the leak, both the plumbing cost and tile work were minimal. GroutFix probably saved me over $1000 in additional cost. On top of all that, the shower looks good as new. Will use them every time for grout and tile problems in the future. read more

I'm extremely pleased with the work Louie did from GroutFix. He arrived right on time and finished the job in exactly the amount of time he estimated on the phone. I had a full sized shower that needed to be completely regrouted and recaulked. In addition, the glass door had to come down and be reinstalled to complete the job. Everything looks brand new and all the old cracks and missing grout is gone. I am quite confident that the leaks we had before due to the deteriorating sealing are well fixed. In addition, when the job was done, Louie recommended checking the pipes behind the shower water knob, which he did free of charge. The total costs was extremely competitive and well worth the investment. I would gladly recommend GroutFix to my friends and relatives. read more

Each occurrence focused on multiple areas (bathrooms, kitchen, utility room) and areas (walls, floors, counters) of our home. His bid was detailed and broke down the work required and costs within each room. Groutfix regrouted our large slate deck as well as 2 slate patios and in the process replaced several of the 2'x2' slate tiles. Louie and his helper did a terrific job. The results of their work exceeded our expectations and Louie did a bit more tile replacement than was included in his written estimate but didn't charge for it although I was more than willing to pay for it. Unfortunately, I learned the hard way that their white grout can have a tendency to turn yellow over time. I also later learned that many professional tile installers refuse to use Laticrete white epoxy grout because of this issue. Because epoxy grout cures as hard as cement, the problem was extremely difficult to fix. To make matters worse, the contractor who originally installed it refused to fix the problem. I spoke with several professionals and was told that the only options were either to remove and replace all of the tile or use a grinder to remove the yellowed grout, which could chip and damage the marble. After doing extensive research, including using ChatGPT, Sir Grout was recommended as the best company for the job. There was only one person at Sir Grout who had both the experience to remove Laticrete epoxy grout and the willingness to take on such a challenging project. His name is David, and he is awesome. Not a single tile was damaged during the process, and he used a different manufacturer's white grout that will not turn yellow. Sir Grout also provides a one-year written guarantee on the grout work. In addition, the white tile itself had begun to show yellow staining, and Sir Grout was able to remove almost all of those stains as well.
