Babis was everything we wish every contractor was - reliable, highly skilled, takes great pride in his work, goes above and beyond, good communication to ensure the work is exactly what I want, and clean and respectful in my home. Babis demo'd an old fiberglass shower insert and installed a stunning new tiled shower. He offered helpful advice on what type of tile to buy, and suggested tile baseboards - a solution I hadn't thought of. We had a wonderful experience with Niko's Tile Service. Babis was prompt, reliable, and friendly, and his work was meticulously done. He had good advice for figuring out some tricky parts of our bathroom remodel, and helped us choose the right size and style of tiles for different areas when we were stumped. The tiles were laid out beautifully, too. He didn't just slap them up willy-nilly, but carefully chose and oriented them to make a pleasing arrangement of the marble patterns on the wall and tub surround. A technician -and- an artist. When the seal around the tub began to pull loose after six months of use (due to the frame settling - that was on our general contractor, not the tile guy), he was happy to drop by and redo it, free of charge. They stand by the quality of their work at Niko's! All that, and he was nice to our kids. Worth every penny, and he'll be our first call when we redo our upstairs shower someday! read more

Working with Nikos Tile Service was the best remodeling decision I have ever made. Babis Michailidis and his wife run Nikos Tile Service, LLC. They are a small outfit and have just recently moved to Seattle. After working with Babis, I'm sure that the only reason he is not booked out a year in advance is due to the fact that word hasn't gotten out yet about what a superior craftsman he is. From the initial inquiry, where I dealt primarily with Babis' wife, throughout the entire project - I felt like I was dealing with seasoned professionals who take pride in everything from their customer service (phone calls and text messages were promply returned), to showing up on schedule, to cleaning up at the end of each day. Now to the quality of Babis' work. Babis is not a mere tile installer - he is Michaelangelo with tile. The porcelin tile I had selected had quite a varied pattern to it. I watched as Babis would carefully inspect dozens of tiles to ensure a harmonious pattern was achieved. At each step of the project - where a decision could be made to do a thing quickly, or do it perfectly - Babis chose the perfection route. A thing as simple as choosing to cut tile around an existing piece of trim, or to modify the trim so that it looks seamless with the tile - Babis did all of this and more. I remodeled my whole house and have hired 4 tile contractors for 7 different tile projects in the last 2 years. Nikos Tile is the best company. I wish I had hired Babis for all of my tile projects. We pulled out a gas fireplace insert and found that the tile around the opening was never finished. We needed to have tile installed and hired Babis to install the tile border. He also replaced some additional missing/damaged tiles with tile that didn't exactly match, but he was able to make it look like it did. It looks great! Would recommend! read more

Babis (Bobby) is a perfectionist from the from the first step in the tile project to final cleanup where he cleans everything to look like he was never there and in fact cleans the other workers dust and bits! This is my story. 'I' am also a General Contractor, and my tile employee, very recently started a tile job then suddenly had a heart attack and could not finish the job he had started. So I searched the internet and found "Nikos Tile Service". I almost did not call because my job is on Camano Island and Bobby's location is in Kirkland. Well I did not get an answer so I just hung up and moved on. However within 5 minutes 'Christine' who is the business manager and Bobby's wife, called me! She was responding only to the missed call as I did not leave a message. She was very sympathetic when I told her about 'my' tile employees heart problem and so even though I was out of their typical work area, she still took all my info and said she would get back to me the day after Christmas. That was exactly what she did and thus 'her' and 'Bobby' came to my rescue to finish the tile job for my customer! When Bobby arrived, exactly on time, he looked at the job and immediately spotted some alignment flaws in 'my' tile guy's work and said "no problem, I will fix them!" I found out that Bobby who is 'Armenian' but from Greece, has been setting tile and stone in Europe since he was 13 where he worked with his father. He was absolutely 'in command' of the tile project! He did not need my help to move forward once the initial 'tie-in' was over. He knew what to do and how to make the tile job be a 'master piece'. You know, because I am a General Contractor, I have hired several Tile Company's or Individual (subcontractors) but I have never felt that I 'must' write a review. However, in this case I am doing so, not only because of the fact that 'they' rescued my tile job with immediate help, but 'more so' because of Bobby's total handling of the job starting with assuring my 'nervous customers' that the finished job would be literally perfect. His his confidence and soft spoken manner, took the edge off of my customers 'immediately'. They were giving me the 'eyes' of approval and in private told me that they feel confident with Bobby! So now 'I' was out of the 'hot seat' as well. Bobby was on the job every morning, 'on time', ready to work and he worked long days and even on a Saturday which made my customers very happy!
