New floor tiles and top portion of drain
Mitch G.

I had a great experience having Seattle Grout retile my master shower floor in order to correct defects from the previous owner. Highly recommend them/Brian. - Easy to communicate with by phone and text - Reasonably priced and helpful in coming up with a more cost effective solution than other providers I spoke to - Punctual, communicative, and friendly - Great quality tile demo and install work (plus drain install corrections)

Shower tile before Seattle Grout's work
Josh M.

Brian regrouted our shower tile and it looks flawless, a relief after living with gross-looking grout for months. He visited to take a look at the job and had the time available to complete it the same day, efficiently and with top-notch materials. I recommend Seattle Grout for any grout replacement work.

Strip of tile I didn't specify. I had to ask Brian to remove it.
Vanessa V.

There were a number of different issues with the service I received from Brian - mainly his communication and professionalism. I have no doubt he is a skilled and experienced tile installer when he wants to be, but his customer service and communication skills need improvement. I also do not believe he cares deeply about the quality of the work and would rather just move on to the next job. When we first spoke on the phone I provided the dimensions / sq footage of tile I needed installed and Brian was quick to give me a quote over the phone - he said he's done tile for 12 years and can price the job without even visiting my home. Great! I thought the price was reasonable ($1100 for about 40 sq ft of tile) so I told him I'd like him to do the job and followed up via e-mail with the specifics of the tile I had ordered and the exact dimensions of the space. When Brian came to do the work a few weeks later, he didn't ask many questions and seemed to know what to do. I went to work for the day and when I came back the tile had been set and overall looked good, but I noticed that he had done a strip of tile on an area where I had specifically said I either wanted the whole thing tiled, or none at all if there wasn't enough material. I had to ask him to remove the strip of tile he had laid, which wasn't a big deal. But I found it weird that he wouldn't have called me to describe this alternate design since it was not what we discussed and ended up being more work for him. The second day of the job, Brian texted me to say he would be finishing the job that day and asked me to leave a check for the total amount. When I came home I found that overall the tile and grout looked great. The chevron design I selected for the backsplash was installed with even spacing and all tiles were cut and placed perfectly. However, I noticed that he did not put the outlet covers back on. I called him about it and he said he didn't know where to find the outlet covers so that's why he didn't put them on. I said "why didn't you just call me to ask where they were" he told me he would come back on Saturday to take care of the outlet covers. When he came back, he went to work putting the outlet covers back on. This went fine on the backsplash but when it came time to do the island, it became clear that the hole he had left around the outlet was much larger than the cover! Leaving a huge unsightly gap. It was at this point that I also noticed that the top edge of the island tile was not even and had about 3/4" of grout at the top instead of tile in the top section. Fortunately this is hidden by the countertop which hangs over the back of the island so you can only see it on close inspection but it is still not quality work and was never communicated to me. I told him that the job needed to be done right and I was not okay with the gap around the outlet covers and I expected him to fix it. Brian responded by going on a rant, saying he should have charged me $2,500 instead of $1,100 for this job because of the complexity of the tile work. He was irritated about having to place small pieces of tile and used expletives to describe how annoying it was. I had specifically e-mailed him visuals and specifications of the exact tile I had ordered, so he should have known what to expect. Brian told me I didn't order enough tile, which is the reason the island tile does not reach the top correctly. Not only had I consulted him on the exact quantity of tile to purchase, but he could have simply called me and said "I don't have enough tile to do this job right, I need you to order more before I can tile your island". He refused to make the island outlets right without an additional arbitrary payment of $50. He also told me he was busy and wouldn't be able to come back for a few weeks. When he did come back, guess what his solution was!? To simply install some larger outlet covers which don't match wit the rest of my kitchen, just so he wouldn't have to do any more work to make the job right. Again, zero communication about this half-assed solution. I simply came home and he had installed the larger covers. In addition to all of the communication nonsense, he left all of the tile packaging, plus other garbage and a piece of cardboard covered in grout in my dining room. I would never recommend working with Brian. He does not care about the quality of his work or the experience of his customers, and does not know how to communicate in a professional manner.

Today Brian, the owner, came to my hone on time and wearing a mask. He was professional, a very hard worker and transformed my master bath into the way it must have looked when it was new. He removed the old grout, old cal king, regrouted, cleaned the shower pan and resealed my shower. Next was cleaning and sealing the tile floor. The vanity was then regrouted, and sealed. Brian did an excellent job. I feel the price was fair. I can absolutely recommend him. So very glad I found him.

Porcelain tile and rail installed.

They do great work. Used them for 2 jobs at my home and 1 at my business. All 3 jobs have been clean and efficient. Brian was on time, very professional and did a beautiful job. Prices are very reasonable and a great value for the quality of his work. Would highly recommend!

Cleaned/repaired/caulked tile and grout. Looks beautiful.

They initially missed some grout joints which have now been successfully repaired. The master bath shower now looks terrific!

This was a worst-case scenario. The installation used very expensive white marble from Ann Sacks…read morewith white epoxy grout from a company called Laticrete. Unfortunately, I learned the hard way that their white grout can have a tendency to turn yellow over time. I also later learned that many professional tile installers refuse to use Laticrete white epoxy grout because of this issue. Because epoxy grout cures as hard as cement, the problem was extremely difficult to fix. To make matters worse, the contractor who originally installed it refused to fix the problem. I spoke with several professionals and was told that the only options were either to remove and replace all of the tile or use a grinder to remove the yellowed grout, which could chip and damage the marble. After doing extensive research, including using ChatGPT, Sir Grout was recommended as the best company for the job. There was only one person at Sir Grout who had both the experience to remove Laticrete epoxy grout and the willingness to take on such a challenging project. His name is David, and he is awesome. Not a single tile was damaged during the process, and he used a different manufacturer's white grout that will not turn yellow. Sir Grout also provides a one-year written guarantee on the grout work. In addition, the white tile itself had begun to show yellow staining, and Sir Grout was able to remove almost all of those stains as well. Needless to say, I will be using Sir Grout enthusiastically for any and all future projects involving tile or grout. "$8,844.00 is paid to Sir Grout Seattle, LLC.
