This was an adorable little restaurant. They are a counter ordering service restaurant with a small dine in area. The restaurant was clean and staff was very friendly. The chicken tenders with a twist were delicious with a good amount of spice and fried crispiness! The house made ranch and spicy ranch were amazing! Highly recommend as dipping sauce or on a fresh salad! Sweet and smokey burger was tender and juicy with good amount of toppings. Friends, don't sleep on this establishment!!! This was the best burger we've ever had... and we've eaten a lot of burgers so I'm not saying that flippantly!! You can upgrade to wagyu but honestly, you don't even need to. It's very family friendly and has a good kid's menu with very generous portion sizes. Even though it's a hole in the wall... they offer 1 table for 6 and 2 tables for 8. Our family of 6 ate there for a super reasonable price & brought home leftovers!! The fries are delicious too. I know these might be fighting words in the ultra competitive greater Nashville restaurant scene but Ground-West might have the best burgers in the area. Creative, fresh and grilled perfectly. I love the add-ons too (always need more jalapeños even with the four alarm burger). The bun holds up to the goodness of the burger and all the add-ons. You can get a fork but hey this sandwich won't come apart on you. You order at the counter, and it can be cramped and tight (the place needs more room). But that little bit of hassle is more than compensated by great counter service. These guys will take care of you. You can get a full baked potato as your side (my recommendation) but the fries are fresh, Seasoned well, and very tasty. If you are in a rush, or want more elbow room, take out is a breeze here. read more

I wanted to try the new burger joint across the street from my office so my coworkers and I ventured out to survey the foods. Survey says "best burger in Franklin!" Lets get into the details. The ambiance is fast casual with neutral colors and the potato in the Ground as their symbol of amazing food. It is counter service and you pick up your food when your number is called. The food...I ordered the Swiss mushroom burger with sweet potato fries. My burger was juicy and fully cooked which I never order but I wanted the authentic experience and went for it as is. The portobello mushrooms are sliced long and thing which makes them the perfect burger topping. The bacon was very crispy and you get two thick strips. The bun is homemade I swear! My burger was all that I wanted: flavorful with fresh ingredients. My sweet potato fries were crispy and salty to balance the homemade apple butter to dip them in. The apple butter was thick and cinnamon rich but not overly sweet. To top it off the service is outstanding. We did not feel rushed, got great recommendations from our cashier and after our meal he checked on us and every single table. Good food and good service is all I ask. Whoa, this place sucked. I honestly have no clue how it has such a good rating; I feel a literal moral obligation to review this place. First, this place was dirty. Like, real dirty. Not "diner dirty," either. It just looked like nothing got clean, ever. Second and more importantly, the food was so, so bad. We got a burger, a hot chicken sandwich, fries, sweet potato fries, fries mushrooms, and fried pickles. The burger was embarrassing. One tiny, thin, burnt patty, with a stale, greasy bun, and some onion rings that had no onion to speak of--just thick, flavorless batter. Gross. The hot chicken sandwich wasn't a hot chicken sandwich at all--just a mealy fried chicken breast (no crispness here), dunked in buffalo sauce. The fried pickles were decent--i ended up eating all of them instead of my burger. The mushrooms and fries, though, were just bad. Nothing to say here except that we ate a few and decided they weren't worth watching. Maybe the other location is better? Or maybe staff has changed over for the much much worse? But I can't figure out how this place could POSSIBLY have such a good rating. We've visited 10 restaurants while visiting Franklin, and this is at the very bottom of the list. UPDATE 8-15-2020 RUN AWAY. RUN AWAY. RUN AWAY. We decided to give it another go... Big mistake. This time they not only screwed up every item in the order, but this was a delivery order. When it arrived missing the $5 extra patty, I tried to call. No answer. Got in my car and drove all the way there, to find the restaurant empty. Went in to complain, and found myself getting yelled at by some douchebag named Dan. This idiot went full agro, puffing his chest, stretching his arms out, and screaming. It wasn't until I mentioned contacting the owner that he shut up. NEVER AGAIN! RUNN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN! Placed a pick up order over the phone and arrived right on time, actually saw my patties coming ooff the griddle... where they sat on a plate... for literally 20 min. That's how long it took for them to box them and take my money. Then a quick trip home, ready to dive into a burger. Needless to say, they were ice cubes, as were the fries. To top it off the patty and bun were burnt to a crisp. Well past the medium-well they state they target. Oh and they screwed up the toppings on on all 3 burgers! Just finished off a Cubano Burger and Sweet Potato fries- both were well seasoned, cooked perfectly and very tasty!

So we ordered burgers from ground several weeks ago. They got our order wrong and we called for a refund of the wrong things in the order. They said they would refund our money. Great! Weeks later, still no refund but we like Ground so go back, in person with receipt in hand and are told no dice, they can't comp one of the burgers in our order or refund our money. In addition, they were unable to make our current order as requested (for example two fish filets on the fish sandwich). Such a shame that they can't empower their employees to do what is right nor make an order as requested (we were happy to pay extra just for the record). So unfortunately we can now cross Ground off the list. A shame since we do actually like the food but this service and challenge with getting a refund for their mistake should simply not be happening read more

Best fried mushrooms in America! Aaron here is a real chef. The burgers are spot-on and reasonably-priced. My favorite is the mushroom Swiss with bacon.
