One of the best cheeseburgers in all of middle TN! I've never had a bad burger or experience here!

The main location already closed. Might as well pass on this one. I was a huge supporter from the beginning and they lost me. Went to this location, ordered a Mushroom Swiss burger with Tots. I have a gluten allergy, so I got the gf bun. Ordered a regular soda and tipped my usual 20%. $33.73. Nope. They've lost the plot. Don't waste your money. Portions are smaller than ever and they are up charging for everything. I know times are hard for restaurants, but this one needs to close to protect their customers. read more

Finally tried this place this week after hearing it's the best burger spot in Franklin. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint! I ended up ordering the patty melt, cooked medium rare with extra crispy french fries. The two burger patties sit on sourdough bread with their special sauce. It was juicy, cheesy and delicious! And the extra crispy fries with cooked to crispy perfection. I only give it 4 stars because I ordered this to go, and when I picked my order up and asked them if the sauces were in the boxes since I didn't see them in the bag and they assured it was. Only to get home and realize they actually were not. We were hoping to try some of their sauces because they sounded delicious. read more

This is like a sit-down / order at the counter hybrid of sorts. It has a nice printed menu you can take to your table, but then order at the counter and food brought out to us. Husband got the Pioneer burger and was said it was very good - "seasoned well and cooked good." I got a Buffalo chicken sandwich and subbed the mushroom nuggets for the side. These are actually just whole button mushrooms but the portion was generous! We were happy with this find. read more

Pickles were so good and crunchy with the home made ranch. The patty melt and wagyu burger were juicy and delicious. One of the best burgers in town. There's plenty of parking in the park. read more

Well I got a to go order placed in the restaurant and walked out not looking at it which is my fault apparently but it was all tied up so it would've been hard to get it open Drove 25 minutes home to find that I didn't get what I ordered. My daughter is so disappointed because she got two measly little chicken tenders when she was supposed to get the two sliders. I had been looking forward to trying Ground, so today we stopped by for lunch to grab a couple burgers. We ordered an appetizer of loaded fries to start. These came out only about five minutes before our burgers arrived. The queso was very mild and the ranch seemed to overpower the dish. For our meals, my husband and I each chose a build your own burger with the wagyu beef. The beef had a great flavor and we both enjoyed our burgers very much. My husband said this may be his favorite Tennessee burger that he has had yet! Our sides were fried pickles, which were okay but not the best I have had, and tater tots, and we shared the two. Overall, we definitely enjoyed our visit, and the burgers will bring us back for a return visit. If you find yourself in Franklin and craving a good burger, be sure to check them out. read more

We ordered several orders of sliders for our family and were really disappointed in the size and quality. The meat on each slider was about the size of a quarter, much smaller than the bun. The fries were soft and nearly raw. We also ordered several sauces and did not receive them but were charged $0.50 per sauce. Sadly I would not recommend this establishment. read more

I don't know what happened here. This was my absolute favorite burger place in town before moving 6 years ago. I had the opportunity to go again over the weekend and was excited to get the double Pioneer burger I had been craving. I was very disappointed with what I got. They used to make a fantastic smash style burger that was perfectly seasoned. I was a surprise to get my order and find two thick premade patties that were overdone and had none of the flavor of the previous version. We had high hopes for this place, and had a recommendation, albeit for one of the Nashville locations. WE VISITED THE FRANKLIN LOCATION. When we entered, we were immediately hit with an open-air sewer smell coming from the kitchen. We should have left, but we were hungry. Prices were good. We were given a large amount of fries with our burgers. However, my burger was overcooked. My wife ordered her burger well done, so it seems they cooked mine well done as well, which seems to be a common lazy practice, as this happens at multiple restaurants. The fries were cooked well. The burgers however were very bland. We wondered whether they were pre-frozen patties. Every single table was dirty in the place, and the trash can by the drinks was past overflowing. The whole area by the drinks was nasty. EDIT: The owner is clearly defensive. I think you should read the review again, and incorporate the feedback. We ate at the Franklin location - it appears we were given a recommendation for another place with a similar name. Yes, there was a sewer smell coming out of your kitchen, the place was absolutely disgusting. How about you figure out what day and time it was instead of being a scoffer? The spice level was bold but balanced, and the flavors were spot on. My boyfriend had the Sweet and Smokey BBQ Burger, and he loved the rich, tangy sauce paired with the perfectly cooked patty. Food On point! Had the Philly Cheesesteak, cesar salad, and Cubano burger, and everything was done really well. The Cheesesteak had a great cook, peppers were still crunchy, onions soft, beef well seasoned, the bread had exceptional flavor and was toasted well. My only thing was the inside fell through the bread as soon as I picked it up, so it turned into a knife-and-forker. The beef for the burger was well seasoned with a nice coarse but not too coarse grind, cooked perfectly and again well-seasoned. Fried piclelswas a good touch along with also having fresh veggies to add as toppings. Service Great! We got to know the owner Matt and learned this location opened 5.5yrs ago while the Cool Springs location opened 9yrs ago. He was very personable while the food was ready quick. Ambiance I really enjoyed the feel of the space at the West Franklin location. Had a real comfortable, like I was eating at home feel. Gotta love this place!! Small town burger joint in Franklin, TN amazing food, small town atmosphere and awesome staff. I just placed and order to go, which you'll have to do there as they aren't currently taking to go orders over the phone. It is really easy though, walk up to the counter (basically to the kitchen) and use the large touch screen to place your order, they make it really really easy to customize your food with their POS system. I got two Pioneer burgers to go with fries and they were all done and ready to go in less than 10 min. The staff was super nice, some young hard working gentlemen, and the place was clean and had a great small town diner vibe. I definitely recommend it here! read more

I was underwhelmed. We arrived about 5:30 and thought it was closed. Not a single car in the lot. We tried the door and walked into an empty restaurant with 2 employees. The order taker was friendly and polite. I ordered a pioneer with American cheese and a baked potato and my wife had a Swiss mushroom with sweet potato fries. My burger was overcooked and bland with little to no seasoning. The potato was the highlight of my meal. My wife enjoyed her burger but has had better. The sweet potato fries were good with the apple butter. I also question the cleanliness of the restaurant. Slippery floors and the condiment bottles were sticky. Basically we felt we overpaid for this average meal totaling $47. We expected more. Not likely to return. read more

They did not fix my daughter's burger with two -2, people eating). They brought my food out with appetizer, but no main course for her. Older gentleman seemed like he honestly didn't know, but the young cook -who rang up our meal DEFINITELY knew, as he left knowing she had no meal in front of her. I was ready to raise Cain, but she threatened me if I said anything ( she knew I'd absolutely lose it). Saw the good reviews of this place and wanted to try. The ordering system in store is different, but good once you know what you are doing. Just use the touch screen to place the order the way you want. The mushroom appetizer is huge and made with fresh mushrooms. Very good. Breading has a nice spice, and pairs well with the spicy ranch. The sandwiches and salads we got were all good, and big portions. The cooks were friendly and walked us through everything we needed to know. Nice to be able to have good food and interactive staff! This would be our regular burger place if we lived near here. Do yourself a favor and stop in! read more

Trying to come back here and support this place after all their changes. Hamburger is dry and hard. You could get a better hamburger at a fast food joint like Hardee's not that I will eat fast food five guys about the same price will give you a delicious juicy burger every time you come here you either get a hockey puck... an eighth of an inch hockey puck . Dry. The bathrooms still smell like shit and the toilet seats won't stay up so as a man unfortunately I feel bad for the woman. I just wish they would be consistent. Customer service is great. The ordering procedure is kind of a mystery and earns a zero star for service. Upon entering I discovered a counter with three presumably employees behind it - all milling about doing their best to ignore me and the other couple of patrons that entered at the same time. No greeting. No direction as to choosing a table, waiting to be seated, or ordering from a kiosk at the end of one of the employee barricading counters. So the lesson I learned is that you walk in, go to the "procure a menu" section, make a choice, go to the self serve kiosk, order your selections, type in add ons and selected sides, pay with a credit card, and then sit at a table and see how much of the order they got correct after it is served to you. This self serve ambiance was further compromised by the lack of any procedures written or verbalized. Things I now know that I will share with you: 1) if you order a drink, reach behind the counter and grab a cup because they won't be on the tray that your food is served on. 2) if you want your fries crispy, you can check the "crispy" button while ordering but it won't do any good. 3) after deciphering the procedure and taking your own order, you will be prompted on your kiosk screen to select an amount to "tip" - exactly who am I tipping and for what I'm not sure. Now the food; burger was juicy and good - probably a four star. Chicken strips were moist but the coating lacked seasoning and left a two star lackluster impression. My fries were not extra crispy so I chose not to tip myself for not getting my own order correct. I really wanted to like this place but it gets a zero percent chance for a return visit. read more

Small place and can seat about 30 people. Once you enter pick up a menu and walk to the back where there is a touch screen. That is where you place your order. Staff is great if you need some help. The restaurant was difficult to find. Once we found it, we debated about eating there. Not a typical sit down restaurant. Not fancy at all. Workers were not very social and you are kind of on your own when you get there. The restaurant was not intuitive for a first timer. You order on a computer screen. All their burgers are cooked to medium. When we got ours, they were closer to medium rare which was a big turnoff for my husband. My burger was fine with bacon, onion straws, BBQ sauce. I had hot sweet potato fries. My husband's fries were lukewarm. Overall I would recommend making sure there was an option on the screen to add the cook type you want for the burger. Great place to eat! I had a salad with chicken side of fries, my wife had a grilled chicken sandwich and my aunt had a burger. We also had the fried pickles. First, the food was great! My salad was fresh and the chicken was moist and perfectly seasoned. My wife and aunt's chicken a d burger were served on buns that didn't fall apart and they said they were great! Fries and pickles were awesome as well. Second, the serving size was great/large. We all can eat and usually leave still wanting more. Not here. Actually took the pickles and half of the sandwiches home. Service was great. Always being asked if we needed anything and if food was good. Nice, cozy local place to eat.
