Maple pecan scone will literally rock your socks off. That. Is. All. And dunking it into a hot chai tea latte, well-just down right delicious. read more

First time going to the grindhouse, ordered chicken sammich and a white choclate Carmel frappe, absolutely amazing, I will be coming back, 5 stars in my book read more

Awesome Owners and great coffee. If you're bored of the same coffee you drink everyday or if you're out on a chilly day. I suggest you try this place out. Many options on the menu including food. I try going every chance I get. read more

Love this place! We have been here for breakfast and lunch and the sandwiches are always delicious. Coffee drinks are amazing as well. Quick, friendly service. read more

Cool privately owned coffee shop with great coffee! Heard the food is delicious, but haven't tried anything yet.

Gave this place a try after reading the reviews. We tried the Turkey (I think) sandwich and it was very tasty. For $7 a sandwich (and chips) like that is so much better than the $5 footlong you get somewhere else. Spend the extra coupe of bucks, support a local business and get a better sandwich. I haven't tried their coffee and drinks, but I'm pretty sure I'll have to give those a go too. read more

Awesome place! Good coffee and good food. Great little hangout or just to get something quick to go.

The breakfast sandwich was very good, but the chick behind the counter has a shitty personality, not very personable, so I probably will not be going back there. read more

I have been coming to Grindhouse from the beginning, and I can say years later it's still my favorite coffee house in the region! Gabe and the crew are great and really know their stuff! read more

I'm not much of a coffee drinker, but I LOVE their sandwiches!!! Plus the staff is Super nice! I highly recommend the Turkey Dolo!

No Pricing on the sandwiches.. (2) sandwiches and a med drink for $19+. After I tipped them no thank you or anything, non personal and not very friendly. The Chicken Sammich was very bland with old lettuce. The atmosphere was cute but messy. The music was I think mainly for the workers. Will not be going back~ read more

I visit regularly. Great food, coffee, and Teas. Prices are great and won't break you. Portions are perfect. Staff is awesome and atmosphere is welcoming. If your looking for great quality and good people this is the place! read more

I must admit, one of the most unique coffee places I've ever been to. The atmosphere is fun inside but the chalkboard is intimidating. I wish the drinks had more description because sometimes I'm like oh there's no sugar in this? Overall amazing though. Their food too. Croque is the best sammy. All my friends describe the place as hipster but I'm not and I still go!! read more

Very casual and a home-y vibe. Never have the same of one type of mug. If you're the type of person that likes a uniform café then this is not the place for you. Very unique. read more

There are mediocre and bland tasting pastry and coffee options, but the actual entree options are absolutely flavorless and disgusting, and slapping a bag of chips on everything they serve is lazy and shows customers that they would be better off buying a value-size bag of chips and make their own bland sandwiches by the time they pay $7.37 for a chicken sandwich; which by the way, is EXACTLY the opposite of what you'd expect from the title. Bread. Lettuce. FREEZING COLD deli chicken. Oh, and a bag of chips. Not impressed at all. read more

When I first walked in I wasn't to sure. Aesthetically speaking the place left me very unimpressed, however, the coffee and food was outstanding! I had a latte and their curry tofu sandwich. The latte was exceptional. The sandwich was pretty good. read more

Solid coffee. My lattes have been somewhat inconsistent, often milky. But there are a lot of good options for food and drink.

I absolutely LOVE this place. The lattes are amazing, ths scones are excellent. Occasionally they offer baked goods that have bacon in them. I go at least twice a week. Grindhouse is a must try! read more

Love their fresh coffee. I usually get whatever is their daily special. So far all that i tried are good. Went their lunch also. Their sandwiches are good. The only thing i don't like is their tables and chairs. Not too comfy for relaxing. But that could be because i'm 230 pounds. read more

This is the ultimate in everything that is great about local business. The staff knows us by name and usually knows what we order. Friendly service and great food, if you are in the area do yourselves a favor and treat yourself to the best cafe not only in North West Indiana but in the all of Indiana. read more

I loved the croque grindhouse sandwich, it was amazing. My family liked their food very much also. The reason I only rated four stars was due to the fact that I didn't feel very comfortable. I feel we received some stares from the other customers. Anyway, the staff was very friendly. I'd definitely return but probably get my food to go. read more

My wife and I went for lunch on a Monday. I had the "bleu cheese beef bomb" warm roast beef and prosciutto with horseradish aged cheddar and bleu cheese on a ciabatta roll. It was delicious, the quality of the meat and cheese really showed through and the ciabatta was just right, not too hard like many ciabatta rolls. My wife had the eggplant sandwich and she enjoyed it very much. We also had an oatmeal cranberry cookie and a latte. The coffee is from Metropolis and was prepared perfectly. The cookie was house made and very good. A great experience overall. Highly reccomended. read more

Great menu! I have loved every sandwich I've gotten here. They put together ingredients that I wouldn't think of and the results are fantastic. A fresh, awesome alternative for meals in NWI! read more

Very nice, cozy café. Coffee, drinks, sandwiches, deserts are all very good. Love the chalkboard menu. Prices are reasonable. Service is great most of the time, as I've gotten a few not so great servers, but overall ok on service. I would definitely recommend this place. read more

Best Coffee House in NWI. Very welcoming friendly atmosphere, great baked items and of course, the coffee. I love the coffee and also the Hot Chocolate. read more

I had time to kill and was in the area for my weekly comic book pickup at Creative. Heard about this place a while ago and decided why not. Turned out to be a great choice. Got the Bleu Cheese Beef Bomb and a small mocha. Both great. Sandwich came with chips. It was a little over $11 total, so not bad, especially since the staff was nice and the clientele are respectable and the place is very clean. Kinda small but that's cool. Pretty intense selection when it comes to drinks, and the rest of the sandwiches sound pretty good, so I'll need to come back soon. read more

We love this place - we love Gabe - great drinks and awesome food and pastries -

I was very excited for Grindhouse to open. I'm not really a coffee drinker, but their teas are amazing. What really sold me was the vegan baked goods and vegan sandwiches. There isn't any place around here that caters to vegans and this place does. They have this amazing vegan oatmeal chocolate chip cookie that melts in your mouth. I also had their tofu sandwich and their eggplant sandwich. Everything is so fresh and the atmosphere is very welcoming. I love this place. read more

Slim chance I'll return here. I was a customer here for a month, and after many attempts at striking up conversations with the less than friendly staff, I was never once thoughtfully approached. One star. read more
