Here is proof that every cup of coffee can still be unique and offer an exciting taste. Remember that warm fuzzy feeling you got the first time had a cup of Starbucks? Well I do and I got the exact same feeling when I tasted the Pumpkin King. Let's hope your imagination hasn't swayed too far now but this café taps into the imagination with creative names and something different every day. There is truly something great happening here and watching them take their time and create let's you know, you are about to be served something special. There are mediocre and bland tasting pastry and coffee options, but the actual entree options are absolutely flavorless and disgusting, and slapping a bag of chips on everything they serve is lazy and shows customers that they would be better off buying a value-size bag of chips and make their own bland sandwiches by the time they pay $7.37 for a chicken sandwich; which by the way, is EXACTLY the opposite of what you'd expect from the title. I loved the croque grindhouse sandwich, it was amazing. My family liked their food very much also. The reason I only rated four stars was due to the fact that I didn't feel very comfortable. My wife and I went for lunch on a Monday. I had the "bleu cheese beef bomb" warm roast beef and prosciutto with horseradish aged cheddar and bleu cheese on a ciabatta roll. It was delicious, the quality of the meat and cheese really showed through and the ciabatta was just right, not too hard like many ciabatta rolls. My wife had the eggplant sandwich and she enjoyed it very much. We also had an oatmeal cranberry cookie and a latte. The coffee is from Metropolis and was prepared perfectly. The cookie was house made and very good. A great experience overall. Highly reccomended. read more

I had time to kill and was in the area for my weekly comic book pickup at Creative. Heard about this place a while ago and decided why not. Turned out to be a great choice. Got the Bleu Cheese Beef Bomb and a small mocha. Both great. Sandwich came with chips. It was a little over $11 total, so not bad, especially since the staff was nice and the clientele are respectable and the place is very clean. Kinda small but that's cool. Pretty intense selection when it comes to drinks, and the rest of the sandwiches sound pretty good, so I'll need to come back soon. read more

I was very excited for Grindhouse to open. I'm not really a coffee drinker, but their teas are amazing. What really sold me was the vegan baked goods and vegan sandwiches. There isn't any place around here that caters to vegans and this place does. They have this amazing vegan oatmeal chocolate chip cookie that melts in your mouth. I also had their tofu sandwich and their eggplant sandwich. Everything is so fresh and the atmosphere is very welcoming. I love this place. read more
