This is our second time here and not that our first time was bad by any means; today was just by far an amazing experience. Brooke was the woman working today and she was exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful. We learned they have a rewards program, which we definitely signed up for and let us know about their coffee flights, which we were not informed about the previous time. Brooke also let us know about some great restaurants around for lunch and was overall friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back to this cozy Cafe and thanks to Brooke, we look forward to it. 10/10 recommend read more

I have always wanted to stop by this place on my summer walks. Owner Breanne Zolfo doesn't open her shop until 7am and I'm usually on my return walk. Today I made an exception and what a surprise I got. I sat outside with my dog Zeke, not knowing that friendly dogs are allowed inside (and they aren't required to drink coffee!). I ordered my usual cappuccino with hazelnut and stayed outside with Zeke, enjoying the sights and sounds of downtown Crown Point. My coffee was flavored with just the right amount of hazelnut and sweetness. I googled Ms Zolfo and found out she made national news for the goodness she spreads. Inspirational words are written on each coffee sleeve and she encourages people to spread it forward. She had a steady stream of customers while I was there. Most order their coffee to go. I chatted with her during a pause in customers and she revealed that she was hit hard during the covid pandemic and just recently re-opened the dining area, although she still hasn't brought back her food menu. The back wall is now full of cards and letters from customers who have thanked her for helping them. The little coffee shop truly is an uplifting place to start one's day. read more

The service is good- coffee was ok. They have food "sometimes." This place could be much cuter than it is- needs a little TLC. The owner needs to spruce up and clean up that bathroom. If the staff wasn't so friendly I would have walked out and went next door. read more

Love!!!! Lil and I went in for the first time a month and a half ago... I had happened to be stopped at the red light days before and saw the front window advertising crepes on the weekend. Lil loves crepes- seemed the perfect time to try. Twice a week, without fail- I have been back for the Nutella Latte. Sometimes iced, sometimes hot (both are delicious!) and taken a pastry a time or two. The service is exceptional! Tips are donated to a local charity and they are a very giving company! Our trip into the Cafe was to purchase a gift certificate for a friend. We were pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere and the staff was friendly and very helpful. The aroma of coffee filled the air with delight! The day that we stopped in there was a pop up sale going on. The venders were polite and selling interesting wares. I definitely plan on going back to sample some of the coffee. I am confident that our gift recipient will be happy with his gift. I have stopped in a few times and have enjoyed everything for the bubble tea to their coffee and lattes. I am a huge fan of Intelligentsia. Every time I have stopped in it is relatively quiet, but the people are very nice. What would make this review 5 stars would be a few more options on the menu and a few healthy breakfast/snack options. read more

Pour over coffee with Intelligentsia beans always a great choice and usually indicative of a nice cafe - that was certainly the case today. And my wife loved her iced mocha with almond milk. Cute place with beautiful view of Lake County Courthouse. We didn't hang around for breakfast that isn't served until 8:30 am. I just wanted to say that it reeled of overly strong coffee(a scent I cannot stand) and it it has more hipster quality than Starbucks.

Nutella latte is what dreams are made of in coffee. They treat everybody so nice and gave my daughter a free sprinkle donut which is the key to her heart. What a great place to have in Crown Point. read more

Will no longer be giving this business money after a couple of times having bad customer service. I can't think of any other place that charges 50 cents to have no ice in your drink. Sign on the door says happy hour ends at 3, order drinks and about to pay when rude employee tells me they have just changed it "today". Well aren't you supposed to put a sign outside or something? The employee disrespected my mom about for the third time now and he is very rude. I never forced him to apply for a position working here. I was pleasantly surprised that they serve Intelligentsia, and the drinks are consistently good. Starbucks is no longer my daily stop, and I may lose my gold card status soon... Worst place to come with intentions of studying. Employees, although kind, should not even be paid to work because they barely did that. Had multiple friends in the shop and were talking so loud that I could not study at all. Very mad that I wasted my time driving there just to pack up and leave. Some kind of management needs to be present in order to have the employees do something other than hang with their friends. read more

I saw the "Intelligenstia Coffee" sign on the window today and decided to stop in to give this place a try. The girl working there was so friendly. We had some nice conversation as I watched her make my cup of Ethiopian Intelligenstia coffee using a ceramic Hario coffee dripper. Of course the beans were ground immediately before too. The coffee was fantastic. Got my wife a bubble tea while there too, which she loved. Cute/cozy place to grab a nice coffee or tea and have a pastry on the Crown Point square. I'm a fan and will be back. They sell Intelligenstia beans too (about $15 for a 12 oz bag) which are sort of difficult to find here in NW Indiana. read more

I don't get out too often, but this cafe is my favorite place to go. I take my Service Dog here regularly and everyone is always polite and respectful about her. The food is amazing and the coffee is even better! The owner is always hard at work whenever I see her there. This cafe easily gets five stars from me. read more
