The service needs to improve. Staff was not welcoming, and service was slow even with a bunch of workers behind the counter. The drinks and the food need to match the nice ambiance. read more

I saw some aesthetic footage of Jilly's on social media and decided to make the drive out to Crown Point to give it a try. It honestly left me with the impression that their aesthetic was their primary focus over quality. The lattes were ok. The food selection was very limited. I was planning on getting a Veggie Sandwich, but we were told that they only had Chicken Salad. We got a piece of cake so we at least had something to eat for breakfast with our coffee, but we ended up having to find somewhere else to go afterwards with a better menu since we had already driven a half hour to give this place a try. read more

Embarrassing choice I chose to take my 12 colleagues of "local" ICU nurses ages 60-85 for a quaint midday lunch at Jillys. This was in celebration of one of us beating cancer. We moved outside as to not be a "nuisance". The lovely gal at the register was so kind to wipe off the table and chairs and move an umbrella as it was warm. I'm guessing we spent around $300 maybe more or less. Although, word of mouth is your best seller. An employee came out to our table and said "who moved this umbrella they are not to be moved" (rudely) my friend said one of your gals did. We did ask for water as we were still catching up. The employee came out put a 1/2 pitcher of water on the table then said "don't break this it's glass". Mind you we are a group of 12 local ICU nurses. Our hands have cared for thousands of patients in our communities. What is going on with our people today. We can and must do better read more

My first time here at this new adorable cafe. Amazing front & back patio. I came with 7 other women & there was plenty of space for us on a large picnic style table in the back. It was busy, but the staff was friendly and quick with orders. My iced hazelnut latte with oatmilk was delicious. Also had a spinach & feta danish. I loved it. A couple people in my group had sandwiches and said they were good, but small for the price. They were out of the veggie sandwich, I'm excited to try that next time. The baked goods all looked amazing and priced right. Highly recommend. read more

Very rude staff. We were a large group of nurses. We were outside, it was hot and sunny,we started to open an umbrella and one of the staff said she would open it for us. Then another staff member came out and accused us of opening the umbrella, she was very rude. Someone asked for water, they brought it out and said " this is a glass pitcher, so don't break it!" And walked away. I was stunned. The chicken salad sandwich was mediocre at best. That was my first and last time there. read more

I've been there for a simple lunch and for a private event, and both times, I was charmed by the decor and delighted by the food. I desperately want to love Jillys and I think it has incredible potential. The space is the reason this gets the stars it does. They have done an absolutely beautiful job renovating. Inside you are transported to such a beautiful cafe space and the outside is breathtaking. I have been here three times now since it's walking distance from my home, and the general consensus among the people I've gone with has been that it is insanely expensive for little to no in house crafted goods, wait times are long, and the coffee is mediocre. My husband and I went recently and got two iced lattes and two mini quiches and it cost us nearly 40 dollars which is insane. The espresso is extremely weak leaving both lattes tasting flavored down. We've gotten croissants, macchiatos, and other items and I hate to say there are a plethora of better options around the local area that I'd recommend in a heartbeat. I truly don't want to be harsh and I'm really hoping they can change their recipes and offer some trainings to make things run more effectively! read more

I was looking forward to going to this new cafe in town but sadly had a bad experience. In the front of the restaurant, there are small tables. We wanted to sit out there since it was a nice day, but they were no chairs. Fortunately, a customer went and found some and brought some out there for us. I had previously messaged them and asked them if they had gluten-free food options and they said yes, we have several. So when I went to the counter and asked, she seemed a bit confused and uncertain. She did mention the macaroons. The other girl said the quiches she thought were also but fortunately, I know my stuff and knew that was a big no. She asked the owner and he said no that is not gluten-free. So I just ordered one macaroon. My friend ordered a cafe mocha and they didn't know how to make that. Eventually, they gave her her drink and it was cold so she returned it and got a different one. She ordered a croissant which was very dry so she only ate part of it. I will not be coming back since they don't have gluten-free options for me and I doubt if my friend will go back either since they don't even know how to make a simple drink that is supposed to be their specialty. I really wanted to love this place . Nothing could be farther from reality. Five stars for decor but a whopping zero for food and drink. Prices are ridiculous for quality. Food taste old and stale , pastries likewise ; drinks are weak and over priced. Staff seems over worked and therefore somewhat unfriendly.. I spent fifty some dollars and was unwell all afternoon. I will not be returning. If you want a good cup of coffee , go to Starbucks or Sips and get your money's worths in both quality and quantity. read more

I gave it a 3 because of the decor but the attempt at a proper cafe is a 1. Getting their baked goods elsewhere, really?! At least assemble a sandwich properly. Maybe take a road trip up to Hyde Park to La Boulangerie. They are a true cafe and bakery w/croissants, baguettes, macaroons and their Jambon-Beurre sandwich ( ham, butter and cornichons) is spot on! Had such high hopes for a great little cafe in crown Point, to start they did an excellent job on design and decor, I think that is the problem so much focus was put on that and not much on the food. Went there for a friend for lunch was hoping to have a great salad or bowl of soup there is nothing freshly made. They had a plate of small baguette sandwiches on the counter literally a piece of bread a piece of ham and a piece of cheese, I don't mind paying for good food, but this price for the sandwich and what you got was not worth it. We are both bakers and it appeared that the pastries were not fresh. It didn't seem where they came from that they were delivered fresh that morning we had several to try and we're not impressed at all with the level of freshness, the cinnamon roll should have been warmed up and it was very dry. The six dollar iced teas were very average and my friends strawberry green tea came from the very bottom of the picture and did not even fill the cup up, I would suggest if they want to stay in business they should concentrate more on good quality, fresh food, and think about the upcoming winter. Where are they going to put all the people in this small establishment. I have hopes that they will read their reviews and improve. read more

if you are wanting to wait 20 minutes for an overpriced ($6.50), stale, dry cream cheese danish with not even a tablespoon of cream cheese, no sort of sweetness at all...then this is the place for you! staff were friendly, but not worth the wait for the product i got. too worried about the bougie atmosphere & not about quality. will not try again read more
