I wanted to check out some local places and I had been following Ixxa Coffee on IG and they are just 8 minutes from our home! It's so inviting, warm and decked out with BEAUTIFUL FOLIAGE!!! We loved all the plants! We are plant parents! I had the iced honey chai latte and my Hubby had the serenitea. We loved and enjoyed our drinks! We also had a chocolate croissant and an almond croissant. Both were fresh and yummy! After leaving, I went back to IG and saw the story of the owners and I felt more connected to the coffee shop! I grew up in Los Angeles so I felt a personal connection and vibe! We look forward to returning as well as checking out their events! Support local businesses!

On one occasion, the cream was added directly to the coffee instead of being provided separately. On several other visits, the cream and/or sugar was not provided at all. In addition, the staff has not been very friendly and often rushes customers through the drive-through, which makes the experience unpleasant. Café de Olla is a traditional Mexican coffee made with specific ingredients and preparation, and what I was served didn't resemble it in any way. It's frustrating to see Hispanic bread and drink names used on the menu when they aren't prepared correctly. That feels misleading and honestly disrespectful to the culture behind these items. If you're going to use traditional names, there should be some level of authenticity or at the very least, honesty about what the product actually is. If the drink isn't going to be made properly, it shouldn't be labeled or marketed as Café de Olla. Either fix the recipe or rename/remove it from the menu. Customers deserve accurate descriptions of what they're ordering. I hope management takes this feedback seriously.
