This Coffee Roaster is a hidden gem!! The best coffee shop around! Family run with amazing coffee creations/flavors and sweets that always hit the spot. They roast their own beans in house that you can purchase as well as canned cold brews. Every time we stop in we're greeted and treated so kindly by all staff. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a really cute place but unfortunately they don't have a lot of seating so if you're looking for a coffee place to sit and work from this is not it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Also, at no fault of their own Munster decided to reroute the bike path from Fisher so if you're going from Fisher, you have to cross multiple times which is really unfair to them. This place is a bit hidden away rather than a place someone would stumble upon while running errands. It's a roastery so it's a big open warehouse with a couple tables up in the front. As you'd expect from a roastery, there are a lot of options of beans to select from if you want to bring some home. Recently, Steve (the owner, who is super friendly and knowledgeable about coffee) told me they've opened this up as a café. I happened to run by it one day as it's off a running (biking, walking) trail so today was the day I wanted to check it out. He said that the honey lavender latte is there specialty, which I got for my wife. The honey is local from Griffith, btw. My wife said this is a best latte she's had in a long time, and that's saying a lot coming from her. I had an ice latte, which was good. I wish it was a bit stronger but maybe I just need to "espresso" that to him while ordering next time! ;) The space is open and large, not very intimate. I'm not sure if they have wifi but it's probably not a place you'd come to work but rather to hang out or take out instead. read more

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Non fussy and non commercial coffee outfit situated at the front of an industrial warehouse where they roast and store the beans.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Best matcha latte in the area, and I've tried it at a couple of local NWI shops...it's not too strong and not too weak. They steam the milk perfectly, I get it with oat milk. I have them add a pump of lavender for a little dazzle. They also sell a couple of locally baked treats as well! read more

So for a brand new coffee shop I've got to respect it. Any coffee shop that's grinding their own beans and the coffee is good deserves lots of respect. It's in a strange warehouse kind of space in a lucrative location and has midday hours which is the strange thing about it. However the place is inviting as it can be and I can tell they've got their priorities straight. A versatile menu, a little something for everyone I think. Straightforward, but still a pleasant surprise. I liked my drink and I'm usually skeptical. Getting a new coffee shop on its feet in a market dominated by established chains in NWI is tough. I look forward to seeing where this place goes! I'd definitely recommend if you're tired of the same old coffee shops. read more

Just Be is the best thing to happen to my Knickerbocker Manor neighborhood in Munster! Not only does proprietor Steve Hofferth serve a delicious, full-array of hot & cold beverages, homemade bakery items and coffee accessories in his gift shop, he welcomes *everyone,* including our beloved 4-legged furry pawsons, his "Board of Directors," whose photos are prominently displayed on a bulletin board. Organic doggy treats in three flavors are also available for purchase - my Daisy Mae loves them and she looks so forward to her treat when she walks through the door. Steve and his entire staff have created a community where we are ALL welcome to come together for friendship, laughter and delicious beverages and treats. I have met so many folks from ALL walks of life in Munster and surrounding areas and to know I am welcome with my sweet pooch is all the more appreciated. And speaking of pooches, the latest staff member is little Beans, an adorable pug/French bulldog that will serve up a heapin' helpin' of his puppy kisses! Thoughtful service and a great coffee drink. Glad I tried this shop on my way through Munster.

We had breakfast at Avgo restaurant in St. John, and the coffee was so good we asked the server what brand they used. She said it was Just Be coffee. Best I've had in a while, very smooth. So we googled its location and saw it was in Munster. After finishing eating we drove out to it ( only 15 minutes away) and bought some for home and for our coffee loving daughters in Chicago and New Haven. Love supporting local businesses. read more
