I wanted to get my day going in the right direction. I decided to give this spot a try to see if any magic happened. My significant other and I walked inside. I was immediately greeted by a quiet aura. I looked at the menu and went to the counter to order. From The Classics section, I ordered a 12 oz Drip/Hot Coffee. It was 2.75. From the same section, I ordered a 12 oz Cafe Mocha for 5.00. I also got a Pump Chip Cookie. It was a pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookie. It was $4.00. We sat at a table. The Drip/Hot Coffee was smooth how it was served. I later added sugar, which gave it a better taste. The Cafe Mocha was also smooth how it was served. I enjoyed it more than the Coffee. The Cookie was good, but I expected better for the price it was. The service was solid. I didn't have any issues. Overall, I had a pleasant experience here. I'm glad I stopped at this spot. I love this local coffee shop with a clean, fun interior. I think the Begare was the drink I tried on my first visit, and it was really tasty. I've been back a few times since then. Expensive food. I guess they might leave a note on your car or put sugar in your tank as a service if you park in one of their parking spaces that aren't even reserved for business. I decided to try a new coffeeshop today. The place is close to my apartment and off 45th Street in Munster. It's located on the main floor of the new apartment complex. The lady at the cash register was very nice. I had the Begare, which is a cold brew with banana syrup and peanut butter foam. It's so good! The peanut butter foam is light and nutty. This is a nice new coffee shop, very clean and the staff is very friendly. This morning I perused the specials board and tried the chacupabra chai and it was pretty tasty. I also got the bacon egg and pepper Jack cheese bagel sandwich. It could have used a bit more seasoning on the eggs, and i lost some of my pepper Jack on the top of the bagel because it stuck to the aluminum foil, but overall the sandwich was decent...above average. The bagel was fresh and soft and that was a major plus. It's a nice coffee shop worth visiting, especially if you want a change of pace from the big box coffee shops chains. read more

Great coffee roasted in house? YES PLEASE. The first time I got to experience Bean Me Up was at Fuzzy Line Brewery for brunch. I was floored at the depth and quality of the flavor. Love the newly opened shop here in Munster. It's clean and cozy, lots of natural light from the full elevation windows. Staff is super friendly and prices are nominal. There are fresh pastries available as well as gelato too. Their drink menu has a good selection but it's not too long of a list to look through either. I recommend the Mothman (sage and vanilla) Latte and Chai Spice coffee cake. They also sell half pound whole bean coffee for about $15 a bag. I'll definitely be returning. read more

A friend recommended this place so I finally had an excuse to come check it out. I decided to spend the morning working here to see how it is. I think since it's new it's pretty open inside but many people come for take out. I ordered an ice cafe latte, learnt that she bakes everything in house and that the lox bagel and banana cake pops were both really good. Back to the coffee, it's a bit more on the burnt side - reminds me a little of Starbucks - but the latte was prepared just as I'd expect with a good taste. I like that it's quiet with nice melodies in the background. It helps to focus a bit more especially with all the windows overlooking the part a block away. I'd expect when the weather turns and more people come to the park that this place will become increasingly popular. Note: for anyone who is coming here to work, I did not find any usable outlets so your stay may be limited to the battery life of your computer, as it as in my experience. read more

So this is a very interesting place. It's Sci-Fi themed I think and very colorful however I'm not sure how I feel about it. It's in a favorable location to me. But I think the fact it's so specifically themed makes it feel a little silly to me. I don't know if I would want to hang out there which is a huge selling point for cafes in my opinion. It's a new business and they're really putting in the effort and that's admirable to me. The employees were nice and I could tell they want to do what they can to truly earn loyalty among customers. So the food and drink itself. . . The coffee was nice, I appreciated the fact they grind their own beans. I also liked that it wasn't loaded with sugary syrups and creamers and they allow you to actually taste coffee. A lot of places don't do that. It's sincerely a solid place to get coffee. But, unfortunately the food I had wasn't very good. The egg on my sandwich was weird and tough. It was precut and shaped into a strange rectangle and was pretty rubbery tasting. This place really tries to drive through that they like selling bagels. It was so much that my sandwich had a preposterous ratio of bagel to what was in between. It was eating a mouthful of bagel with rubbery egg and not very memorable bacon and cheese. It was disappointing I guess because the coffee was great! I had a good feeling about the food at first. I think over time this coffee shop will figure itself out. It is new, and I think opening a coffee shop is no easy task in a market that's already got big players. read more

There were a couple of people ahead of me and one girl working behind the counter. She was friendly enough but it took a little while because she was doing about 10 things at once. Ordered spinach egg sandwich for my sister in law and bacon egg sandwich on an everything bagel for myself. SIL liked the sandwich and coffee but my sandwich wasn't great. These folks make their own bagels from scratch. They are out of this world. I lived in NYC for 4 years, but this is the best bagel I've ever had. I also like the breadth of the menu, the different sweet and savory selections and inventive cold brew and other drinks. The people who work here are so nice that in the hour or so that I sat in the shop, every single person who came in wound up having a conversation with the proprietor, in addition to whatever other reason they might have been there.
