Where do I start? This place odd small bit big in charm and flavor. The drinks were 10/10 and I'd get that lemon drop anytime. I can't remember the name of the dish I had with jerk hen over a plantain pancake, but my God! That pancake gave me life! Definitely going back!

The food is always top notch. The menu is forever changing, and the decor and ambiance is always classic and feels like home. I frequent often when I can, roughly around $100-$150 a sitting! Chef is a stand up guy, always willing to adapt and put his culinary skills to the test. The servers are always adorable and patient with my "complicated order. Definitely support Black Owned Businesses. BROOKLYN STAND UP I will try to find more pictures and add those As well!

I visited for dinner on a Tuesday evening and service was fast and welcoming from the door. Someone greets you as soon as you enter to seat you at one of the intimate tables with a view of the creative mural that seems to depict river rafting in Jamaica in the colors and shapes of the Jamaican flag I had the pork bao buns and oxtail fried rice. The buns were pillowy soft with thick pork belly pieces and a slaw to cut through the fat and sweetness of the pork. The oxtail fried rice was pure bliss. There's huge chunks of oxtail all throughout and each bite was such a pleasant harmony of flavors between the fresh green onions, tender oxtail bites, and steaming hot soy sauce bathed rice. I am obsessed. It was one of those meals that leave you smiling with every bite I look forward to returning, their brunch menu has a couple of unique entrees that id love to experience

I don't say this lightly--the food at Greyz Bistro is top notch. Every dish I tried felt like a thoughtful, flavorful surprise. The oxtail chicken sandwich? A brilliant fusion that I had no clue worked together. Tender, juicy, and packed with layers of flavor I just didn't see coming. The lobster fried rice was equally impressive--rich without being heavy, and filled with generous chunks of lobster that actually tasted fresh (a rare find). Even the vegetable spring rolls stood out--crispy, well-seasoned, and clearly made with care and intent. It's a small space, but the vibe is welcoming and relaxed. It's not often I walk away from a meal truly impressed with the food, but Greyz delivered on all fronts. I'll definitely be back.

I've tried several things from their menu thus far, their Thai side salad, mushroom & jerk pork bao buns and island pasta, but today, I just stopped in for a quick takeaway. The restaurant opens at 4 and I arrived just before 5 so there wasn't a wait. The space is small but still feels roomy with tables, chairs and bar seating as well as a cute little photo wall that is popular amongst brunch spots. I was helped by a server but saw the owner as he came out from the kitchen briefly as well. WOW. I've never had breadfruit fries before but now I'm a believer! Great flavor and texture, I wish there was more!! The Stylish Chicken Sandwich was great as well and as someone who normally doesn't go for chicken, I would order this again, as the fry batter really added a great flavor to it. I wish there were more additional toppings (oxtail, lettuce, sauce) on the bun as well. I would love to continue to explore their menu, specifically with their oxtail fried rice and brunch menu. Great new addition to the neighborhood!

Sunday brunch well spent at Greyz Bistro. My friend from Florida shared an IG post and of course the foodie that I am decided let me check them out. Service was excellent greeted with a smile and customer service was on point. The chef stepped out and greeted us also which was a special moment. Cozy ambiance good for family and perfect for a brunch date. They say continue dating while married so of course my husband and I invest our time with brunch dates. Great spot in crown heights Brooklyn check them out if you're in the area the food and drink is definitely worth the visit, you will not be disappointed.

Don't let the small, minimalist dining room and decor fool you. This spot has a great staff, whom are friendly and make you feel individually welcomed. They have a bottomless drink option during brunch, $25 for 1 hour. I made sure to capitalize on that perk and you can get it spiked with Wray if you feel adventurous. Dee wore many hats, she was hostess, waitress, and made sure I was comfortable throughout my entire visit. The chef/owner came out and was equally as versed in customer service and helped make my overall experience that much better. The food was cooked throughly and with love. I enjoyed my entire meal. There is a small bar and a few tvs, in case you need to keep an eye on your favorite sporting event like me. 5/5.

Came for brunch with my wife and we really enjoyed ourselves. STAFF The chef/ host/ waitress were very friendly. They all came and checked on us throughout our meal to see if we needed anything. VIBES They had a live DJ. He played everything from Beres and Jah Cure to Tevin Campbell and Celine Dion. You know the vibes. I felt like I was at a stone love brunch lol MENU There were lots of great things on the menu so my wife and split up to try as much as we could lol. APPETIZERS My wife ordered the jerk pork bao buns which she loved. She said it was a little spicy, but she really liked the flavor. They used bacon or maybe it was pork belly (idk), but it was a really cool twist on jerk pork. It also was topped with a nice slaw. I order the sweet chili wings and they were nice and crispy and the sweet chili sauce was delicious. The wings also came with a slaw that was great too. We forgot to take photos before we at them all lol. ENTREES I had the ackee with shrimp and lobster. I'm not a big lobster person, but it sounded unique and I'm glad I ordered it. I'd definitely come back and get that again. There was even callaloo in there and I loved it. The combination of all the flavors were great . My meal came with festival and I'm not gonna lie that was some of the best festival I've ever had! I don't know how but the texture was like a mix of a festival and a fry dumpling. The chef back there doing magic lol. I need like 10 of those to go next time! I really liked my food and my wife did too because she kept stealing food from my plate. My wife ordered the fried chicken/oxtail sandwich. The fried chicken was juicy AND THE OXTAIL WAS SO GOOD! And they were not stingy with the oxtail at all. I was actually very surprised with how much oxtail was on there lol (IYKYK). It's a big sandwich too, so if you come really hungry this might be the one you want to order. And the sandwich came with breadfruit fries, which I was excited about because I love fried breadfruit. I love the cool twist they put on all my favorite things. DRINKS I actually wasn't drinking that day, but it was a pre-fixe menu so I ordered a drink anyway so my wife could try it. We got the wray & "niece" punch and the passion fruit mimosa. My wife liked them both, cuz she had a few glasses of each lol. They bring you your drink along with a small caraffe for refills. OVERALL It's a great place to do a group brunch or celebrate a birthday/milestone. I'm happy to see such a great new addition to the neighborhood. We'll also be back to try dinner for sure! No matter what you order, get some of the festival for the table!

Was very excited to try this new establishment but it was very underwhelming to say the least. Visited here on a Friday evening from the outside it looks pretty roomy inside but it isn't, the size is small seating for an average of 20 including the bar and the bar is also small I wouldn't recommend standing with a large group. Our server seemed alil overwhelmed. We waited almost 30 minutes for water, we reached there at 7:25 and was trying to some happy hour drinks in before it ending at 8pm. She came and took our order at 7:55. The rum punch was poorly made, it taste like straight wrey and nephew with a pinch of juice. The bao buns weren't what I thought they would be the pork belly was over cooked and the shrimp had way too much jerk seasoning the sauce on the plate taste like straight mayo. The tacos had way too much raw cabbage and the flavor was all over the place topped with pickled peppers I don't think were needed. We ordered the oxtail fried rice and after an hour of waiting never received it. When asked for the check they charged us for it and they didn't realize we never got it. I had high hopes for this restaurant but it didn't even meet the minimum expectations I had set.

Best restaurant experience I've had in a long time! A weeknight impromptu date led us to this AMAZING restaurant! With the IG food critics its hard to find a great culinary experience thats not camaflouged in unnecessary sauce, flower walls, and smoking drinks. Walking in it was bright and calm, warm, and welcoming. Music yes, but I could still a conversation at the table and speak with the chef about the menu Here you can taste the food. We ordered two mixed drinks, Mango Lemon Drop and Greyz Punch - their version of Rum Punch. Both were a hit! There was a perfect match and mix of alcohol and juice mix. Not too heavy on either. The menu was not overwhelming! The small plates tied into the appetizers and the appetizers tied into the main courses. Clearly a cultivated menu, staying in theme with the fusion style nature of the restaurant. We ordered general tso wings and shrimp scampi! Both were great! The wings were glazed and not drenched with the right amount of spice and a hint of heat. But that scampi from beginning to end was delectable. The pasta was fresh! The shrimp were colossal and NOT overcooked! Tomatoes perfectly blistered! With the perfect cream sauce consistency! It was great. Finally, the KIMCHI KOREAN BURGER! talk about doing something your way and it being a HIT! This burger was cooked to the proper temp! I thiught the Kimchi and coleslaw would be overbearing...NOPE! It was the perfect pairing. I didnt need to add one thing to the sandwich! Everything was 100/10 This carribean asian fusion restaurant reignites a food lovers dream of being able to TASTE the food. No smoke and mirrors. Lots of good vibes and passion mixed in each dish! GREYZ was an unexpected delight and we can't wait to go back

Fabulous place. Less than a year old, this restaurant has already created such a clear identity. The Caribbean-asian fusion comes together smoothly to create flavors I'd never experienced together before (the jerk chicken stuffed oxtail was a personal favorite) . Our overall experience was lovely, very nice staff, nice ambiance, and we even got to meet the chef on our way out. Well worth a trip to crown heights for this exciting new eatery. Great looking brunch menu as well.

It was sort of an odd time so the spacious restaurant wasn't very busy. We studied the menu for too long and after much deliberation, here's what we ordered, in order of spice level: - Oxtail ($35): Not spicy, super flavorful, "Trimmed and sliced chunks of oxtail seasoned freely with fresh spices and simmered to tender perfection." - Curry goat ($29): Mildly spicy, "Goat meat marinated and cooked in curry spices and herbs makes this an exotic dish." - Jerk chicken ($20): Apparently incredibly spicy so I steered clear of it, "A Jamaican delight. Spicy, delicious chicken baked with this unique combination of spices from the island." The dishes I could handle were excellent, with no drop of sauce left unmopped. On the sides front, the rice and beans, roti, steamed vegetables, and plantains were all tasty. The entree sizes were hearty. Our server seemed like a cool dude: easygoing with a sense of humor. It was kind of chilly in the restaurant, not sure if we were in a warmth dead zone or what. The bathroom was frog-themed which was a cute touch!

I discovered Kokomo because I knew I wanted our wedding celebration to be in Williamsburg -- a neighborhood that holds so many memories for me growing up in the Bronx and exploring the city as a kid. We flew in from Los Angeles and truly made it a full wedding week experience. I planned the wedding myself, so I had been communicating with Joel for months leading up to the event. We reserved the Champagne Room, which felt like its own beautiful oasis. As a Jamaican-American woman, it meant so much to know my disabled mother would feel culturally comfortable, welcomed, and safe in the space and with the food. From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm, attentive, and calming. Our server especially helped ease my nerves while we were finalizing seating and guest details, and after that, I genuinely did not have to worry about a thing. And the food? Absolutely incredible. Truly perfection. As a vegan, it meant so much to fully enjoy every part of my wedding meal without compromise. The rum punch was fantastic, our guests loved the open bar package, and the entire evening flowed so seamlessly. The aesthetic is pure island luxury -- elevated, warm, vibrant, and beautiful. The communication from the owners and management team was excellent throughout the entire process, and I even had the chance to finally meet Joel at the end of the night after months of planning together, which was such a lovely touch. I was also able to personally thank the chefs. We even accidentally left my bouquet behind, and the team kindly helped us retrieve it the next day. Kokomo NYC is officially a staple in our family now. I already know we will celebrate future milestones there and visit often whenever we are back in New York. It makes me proud to support a Black Caribbean-owned business that creates such meaningful experiences with so much care and excellence.
