When I placed my order, I explained that I don't eat polenta and asked if it could be replaced with something else. I was told that they could remove it, but they could not substitute anything, and I would still have to pay for it without receiving any replacement. I then ordered the Grilled Lamb Chops Medium Well, but they arrived Medium Rare. When I explained that I had ordered Medium Well, not Medium Rare, they treated the situation as if the mistake was mine. After they took the dish back to the kitchen, they brought it back and placed a lamp over the meat in a very strange and unprofessional way. The employee then said to me, "Look at the meat, it's Medium Well." Regardless of the cooking temperature, the way the situation was handled was unprofessional. A simple apology and correction of the order would have been enough, rather than making the customer feel as if they were at fault. Unfortunately, the service and professionalism were not at the level I expected. I will not be coming back.

The restaurant week menu is an absolute steal- $45 for 3 courses! The only downside is there are no vegetarian options for restaurant week, though I'm sure you can ask to see if they can make any accommodations. Since there were 2 of us dining, we got different things to maximize trying the different options. I got the watermelon salad, branzino and the churros. My husband got the salmon tartar, parpadelle in meat sauce and the salted caramel ice cream. Everything was delicious! They had a nice cocktail menu, but wild that the beer was $16... while a cocktail was $19! So definitely a place to get a cocktail or wine over beer just to get bang for your buck. Service was friendly and the interior was decorated nicely. Would recommend!

The burger here is really good and the full irish breakfast is also great hit. It's a busy fun place after work or on the weekends it's a little more chill usually. There's a DJ there some days also. But what makes this bar special are the staff. Bigshoutout to Mark the manager who goes above and beyond to make your experience supersede your expectations. Paula has become one of our favorite bartenders. She is so pleasant and helpful with food and drinks suggestions. She's also very creative with making some tasty cocktails if you want to try something different. All the barstaff here are great and always super friendly. I had the worst experience ever at that bar!…read more I paid 50 dollars for an average burger and a drink, then the worst host ever, who apparently thinks of himself as a bouncer, was extremely rude from the first minute I had an encounter with him, and then went on to ruin watching the end of the world cup final, for me and a bunch of other people, by making a scene then calling the cops into the garden area! Another person who introduced himself as the owner (I don't think it's true) said "I didn't see you get food or drinks here"-which was not true, and he did not even bother to talk to me as a customer and asks what the problem was! In almost 20 years of experiencing restaurants and bars in NYC from fine dinning at Delmonico's and Nobu to food trucks and cheap beer gardens all over, I have never experienced such rude and cruel treatment, and inability to let people enjoy the final minutes of the world cup. Had there been a law against rude hosts, those guys would have been banned from the hospitality business!

The Juliette Peach I was told was edible, including the pit inside. Delicious. The drink itself is similar to an Old Fashioned, but with a subtle peach flavor. I'd order another one if it wasn't for the price tag. Well worth it for the craftsmanship that goes into executing this drink. My friend ordered the Private Plane ($30) which consisted of Angel's Envy Bourbon, Heiwa Tsuru-Ume Ichigo Strawberry, Aperol, Lemon. It's a sweet strawberry flavored cocktail, which tasted lovely.

Five stars for an unforgettable celebration at ZOI Mediterranean!…read moreI chose ZOI Mediterranean to celebrate the completion of my Ph.D. program with a dinner for 10+ family and friends back in July, followed by drinks downstairs at Ten11 Lounge. I wanted an evening that combined elegance with just the right amount of party energy. ZOI delivered that--and then some. Because we were a larger group, I worked with their events team in advance. Tugce was wonderful to work with and helped me select a two-course dinner package featuring several cold and hot appetizers, a choice of three entrées, and a 90-minute beer and wine open bar. From the planning process through the final drink of the evening, everything felt thoughtfully coordinated. They even created a customized menu for my dinner. And then there was the food! Our appetizers included fresh salads, crispy zucchini chips with tzatziki, and beautifully fried calamari. The zucchini and calamari were light and crisp rather than heavy, and while neither really needed its accompanying sauce, the sauces took both dishes over the top. For our entrées, I wanted my guests to have variety, so we offered chicken skewers, Beef Butcher Bobka, and Short Rib Tandir. Nine out of ten of us chose the short rib--including me--and I'm glad we did. I have been searching for an exceptional short rib ever since having one years ago at a French bistro in Chelsea that eventually closed. ZOI's Short Rib Tandir topped it. The meat was incredibly tender and deeply savory, with a subtle braised-wine sweetness and caramelized richness. It was accompanied by wonderfully aromatic truffled mashed potatoes and carrots, creating the kind of full-bodied, balanced plate that makes you slow down and appreciate what you're eating. The rosé was a terrific pairing. But what elevated the evening from a great dinner to a truly memorable celebration was the service. Manager Anjan Rahman kept an attentive eye on our group throughout the evening without ever making us feel rushed. When I arrived, several guests were enjoying drinks at the bar, and I explained that we'd linger there until more of the group arrived. There was no pressure whatsoever. When we were ready to sit, I simply gave him a heads-up, and the team took it from there. Our server, Jason, was professional, warm, and exceptionally attentive. We never had to search for someone or ask repeatedly for anything. The entire staff made us feel genuinely taken care of. And the experience didn't end with dinner. We had reserved a table downstairs at Ten11 Lounge, which made for a seamless transition from elegant dinner to celebratory cocktails. Our favorite manager, Anjan, even came downstairs later to check on our group and made sure everything was going well. That small gesture says a lot about the hospitality here. The combination of ZOI's beautiful atmosphere, delicious Mediterranean cuisine, terrific drinks, and genuinely exceptional staff made an important milestone even more memorable. I was so impressed that before the evening was even over, I was already thinking about coming back. If you're looking for a restaurant for a birthday, anniversary, graduation, milestone dinner, or private celebration and want beautiful surroundings, excellent food and drinks, attentive service, and the option to keep the night going at Ten11 downstairs, put ZOI Mediterranean on your list. Thank you to Tugce, Anjan, Jason, and the entire ZOI and Ten11 teams for helping make my Ph.D. celebration one I'll always remember. Five stars, without hesitation.
