Office staff has gone downhill in the past years. I've gone from loving this office to absolutely hating the office team. I've gone to this office for years, even after having moved from the area to Vancouver, I stayed with this office because everyone was friendly and I've never had any issues with billing. That is until this past year when I've noticed much of the office staff has changed and many of them seem to hate their job. The office staff is downright rude and incompetent. When you ask for information, they make you feel like you're wasting their time and they have better things to do. Something as simple as asking them to submit a pre-determination request to my insurance provider and they can't even tell me how it was submitted. And when I called my insurance and they said they do not see a request submitted, the insurance representative tried to call on my behalf after relaying the trouble I've had with this dental office in trying to iron out my patient share for my son's orthodontist treatment. The insurance rep came back on the line and told me that a Telisa hung up on her and hadn't even asked her who the patient was but somehow just knew it was submitted. She wouldn't tell her anything else aside from, "you can call back later" and "we'll get in touch with the patient". Come to find out, Telisa is one of the office managers. I ended up calling Telisa myself right after having had it with the unprofessionalism of the office team and let me tell you, she wasn't much better than the 3 other rude office staffers who literally tells you they're too busy to help you and have other tasks at hand and openly complains that they need a new job for lobby patients to hear. If that doesn't tell you how professional their office team is, I don't know what does. Mind you, all I'm trying to do is get an official financial agreement outlining my patient share for my son's ortho treatment. This is standard practice but they want me to come in and sign some estimate agreeing to a quote which potentially means I would be responsible for it even if it was over-estimated and what my insurance suggested not doing that and therefore, I had canceled my appointment to get a pre-determination, which is still somehow in limbo after 25 days when my insurance says it would take them 15 days to provide a pre-determination but they have yet to even see a request come through from my dental office - the same dental office that tells me 4-6 weeks for a pre-determination. If my oldest son was not already in treatment with Dr. Song, I would not be wasting my time with this office. It's one thing to be under-staffed or overworked but it's another thing to be rude to your patients and telling them they need to be patient when I've been nothing but patient when the office keeps dropping the ball. Update on 11/17/22: Still not one person at this office has contacted me after asking 3 different office staff to have Dr. Song or Dr. Jimenez call me. They advised me to message them on MyCharts which states 48 hours for a response but I sent the message on 11/2 and nothing after 2 weeks. How much do they care about their patients? Apparently, not at all as soon as you question their billing practice. read more

I have been to a lot of dentists in my time. Many of them have provided sub-par work that I have had to replace multiple times over the years. Dr. Sylvia is the most skilled dentist I have encountered. She has found solutions to problems others have just given me band-aids for, such as actually replacing a filling that was done incorrectly years before, instead of telling me "just use sensitivity toothpaste" like others have said. She uses high tech cameras in your mouth and can find what is really going on, unlike other dentists who just use their eyes. She also has a machine that makes crowns in the office, and the crowns I have gotten through this method are the best I have ever had! They fit perfectly, which is a real treat when you are used to off-kilter crowns from an off-site lab. When I have shown up with other complicated dental needs, Dr. Sylvia has solved these problems with skill and creativity. If there is an "art" to dentistry, I do believe she has that talent. Her staff is generally friendly and they try to work me in and provide good customer service if something isn't going smoothly. My one complaint is that they have a general policy of booking two hours for many of my dental procedures, but I find that I am often there for over two hours. She is always extremely busy, popping in and out with different patients. I feel like they have over-extended themselves a bit, as they are constantly accepting new patients and it often takes me weeks to find an appt that works with my limited availability. I do believe, however, if you had an emergency that they would find a spot for you... You might not have a problem if you have a more flexible schedule than I. Despite this, I do think it is worth trusting your teeth to Gresham Modern Dentistry. You will get much better care than at most other dentists. That is why I gave 5 stars even with the long appt times. It is worth the long wait, as my teeth need to last me the rest of my life. Just remember, bring a book when you go! read more

Yesterday my Grandfather had a dental appointment at Gresham Modern Dentistry to see Dr. Morales to finish up a Root Canal. He has had nothing but excellent visits from there and was excited to call me regarding yesterdays visit. I unfortunately couldn't be there yesterday due to working but wanted to share his experience since he doesn't have access to the internet. I'm beyond happy to tell everyone Dr. Morales ROCKS! My grandfather takes Lift, a shuttle bus from TriMet to and from his apts when I'm not available for transportation. After finishing up with his appointment there a long wait to be able to get picked up from Trimet. Dr. Morales went above and beyond our expectations as a dentist. He cared for him as if it were his own family member. Which I truly appreciate that! And to top it all off, Dr. Morales offered to drive my Grandfather back to his home so he didn't have to wait forever for TriMet! I give this office a 10-star if I could. From the beginning Dr. Foreman and Assistant Lindsey were very patient with my daughter. This way the first full treatment my daughter was gonna go through without IV sedation which scared me to have to go through again so we attempted the nitrogen and was a huge success due to the doctors and assistants patience and great ability to understand their patient.In between treatments we had to visit another office due to urgent dental situation, the other office will go unnamed but even though they also specialize in pediatrics they were no where close to Dr. Foremans and Lindseys excellent service and without even attempt to evaluate my daughter they automatically suggested IV sedation. When my daughter was perfectly behaved for the exam.I left and never returned to the other office and will definitely be returning to DR.Foreman without hesitation . I thank the entire staff including the front desk because they provided excellent service. read more

The personal treatment that you get at Gresham Modern Dentistry is amazing. The high quality customer service was given from everyone. I went in for a cleaning and to see what work I may need done in the future. Come to find out, I needed a root canal. They worked hard to get it done on the same day so that I would not have to take off of work again and have another day of daycare for my little one. They worked through lunch to make sure that I got the care that I needed. Everyone was very friendly and made me feel well taken care of. They even made sure that I had a payment plan that worked to utilize my insurance to it's full potential. It was nice to know that I could get the care I needed with friendly service and financial planning. Thank you so much to Dr. Haun and his staff! I would recommend them to my family and friends. The best office I've been to, needed an emergency tooth repair and was in need of a crown. They explained charges and options vs my insurance and built my crown right there and gave me a permanent fix that day. In the past they gave me routine cleanings and gave me advice on how to care for my teeth to require less work in the future. They're fantastic for working with military insurance if you are a retired veteran or still have tricare. The staff is friendly and professional and they make you as comfortable as possible as they work on you- for God's sake they even have TV for you to watch, I got to relax to the history channel as they put in said crown today. Best Dentist and Staff. The Staff is so nice,caring and friendly. I have been fearful of going to the Dentist( child hood Dentist nightmares) for so long , so when I saw A new sign for a new Dental Office I decided to give it a try. Best Dental Decision ever. Dr. Kahn the Dentist calmed my old fears and for the first time in years I was not afraid of going to my follow up appts., No pain with shots, no pain with the drill. So effeciant and good solid work on my teeth. Iam going back for 2 crowns. and Im done except routine cleanings. They also have a great Discount plan you can sign and pay for you or family. It's kind of funny seeing so many bad reviews. Most of them are from people complaining about getting an appointment or the cost. So if you want to put low-cost, which means low quality, go somewhere else and get it. I guarantee you won't get that shoddy work here! I have used the lower cost places before and the work was low quality and my filling broke off. This place has done a FABULOUS job on my crowns. They are all high tech and futuristic. I love that I get to come out with my permanent crown that day. I even finally convinced my wife to visit when her filling from another cheap place fell out AGAIN! I'd been into the office a few months previously for the advertised cleaning special but needed emergency dental care when I broke a tooth. It was faster to drive to the office than to find the phone number and call so, still in my housecleaning sweats I jumped into the car and zoomed to the dentist. Within minutes I was in the chair and an X-ray and photo was taken showing some pretty severe damage. Apparently my tooth is deeply rooted and Dr. Sylvia wanted to refer me to an oral surgeon; the office set up that appointment for early the following week and called in pain meds to my pharmacy. It could not have been handled any better; I cannot recommend this office highly enough. read more

The bedside manner of Dr Morales and Dr Muzzio is so comforting. They explain what their doing and continually ask if your ok. The ass Lindsey was very cheerful and helpful. Picked the right color for crown. Jen at the front desk and others very caring and cheerful on the way in and out and they explain the payment and options fully. If you need a dentist or a checkup Modern Dentisry is the place for you. Take my word for it. I wish I had all my teeth so i could visit more often. Definitely quick and friendly. My boys have been going to this Dentist for a few years, and I wouldn't go anywhere else. My youngest son, who is 6, is Autistic and going to the Dentist was always huge ordeal. Not only has this office changed the way he feels about Dentists, but Dr. Jennifer is amazing. She is so good at talking to him and getting him to do what he needs to do (he's a negotiator - she knows exactly how to play his game!), she is priceless. Liz and Lindsay are wonderful! Such gifted and talented ladies that give so much to their job. They have so much patience and make each visit fun for my boys. I would give this place 10 stars if I could! read more

It had years since I had been to a dentist. Called them and made an appointment. They sent over the pre-screen and I sent it back filled out as well as I could. Showed up early to my appointment and was in a chair by my scheduled time. Dr. Sylvia oversaw the cleaning, Rachel was the hygenist, and Lyndsay was assisting. They did a number of X-rays, found a few things wrong and explained the different options to get everything taken care of. I have good insurance, but know that teeth aren't cheap. Great first experience! Extremely nice office staff! My son loved playing the video games and my daughter watched cartoons while I completed the entry paperwork. The entire team was excellent with my children and explained everything as they went. They asked numerous times throughout the cleaning if I had any questions or concerns. I felt at ease with my kids in their care. Both kids got their first x-rays and did very well. It was so nice to have both visits going on at the same time. We were in and out in under an hour. Dr. Swisher is very personable and genuinely cared about my kids dental hygiene. read more

All of the staff and the dentist (Dr. Hahn) were very friendly and professional and clearly laid out a treatment plan for me. I had to have periodontal cleaning and some cavities filled. All of this was virtually painless except for the tiniest sting of the novacaine shot. They use modern digital x-rays which are lower radiation exposure and they used laser for my periodontal scaling. Rachel is an excellent and gentle dental hygienist. I can't wait for my next appointment!! (Well, maybe I can.) :) My husband went also and he too had an excellent experience. read more

My daughter had an abscess on her tooth, I was so worried about. I was able to come in, and get her tooth taken out, as well as fill another tooth. Dr. Ben and his assistant, lindsay, went well beyond my expectations in care. My daughter (only 4) did so well because of their calm, yet friendly, presence. They were both so amazing! To top it off, Beth did such a great job financially, making it possible to proceed with her care. I finally found my dentist that I am comfortable with and would recommend this office to family and friends. The staff is great and very knowledgeable. They treat you with respect and care while you are there. I appreciate the cleanliness of the office and equipment. I have had bad experiences with other dental offices in the past but I am confident this team will take care of me and my experience when I am there for an office visit. This by far is the best dental office for children that I have been to! Dr. Foreman is the best, I really enjoy that he comes out and introduces himself and takes a little time to ask about each one of the children! The whole staff is super friendly and make you feel very comfortable during the whole visit! They have tv's in each room for your own convenience. Very clean and kid friendly office!
