Dr. Crawshaw is the absolute best. I used to be scared of the dentist because I had really bad experiences with other dentists. But I hit the jackpot with dr. Crawshaw. He was very attentive and gentle. Always making sure I'm not having to endure unnecessary pain and discomfort. He really is amazing, which is why I am so disappointed at what happened to me today. This dental office has a grace period of 15min. I was 9minutes into said grace period. When a guy walked out the back of the office and WHISPERED to the receptionist that she needed to reschedule me. Now the woman at the front desk is nothing less than amazing and I won't mention her name because it's not her fault. Her job is to be the receptionist and follow direction from the higher ups. Anyway, she was astounded and I heard her say to the guy, (the hygienist) are you serious? Why" and he continues to whisper. I had to reschedule. In that moment the 15minute grace period turned into 10min. Go figure.mind you I walked in at 9 minutes into the grace period. And so they dumped it on the receptionist to lie and say that the grace period was 10-15 minutes. I mean make it make sense please! How is that even possible. Are they changing the times daily or more feasible by denying me dental care that I'd been very badly needing for months they can get out of there sooner. I'm so tired of businesses not following their own hours and Grace periods. Gas isn't free or cheap. I wasted my time and gas driving over there just to be turned away from an appointment that is badly needed.ive been waiting almost 6months for this appointment and they are not at all punctual I recommend you not pay attention to the grace period because they don't honor it! I was stuck in Friday traffic. I left work early to make this appointment it is November 14,2025 they rescheduled me for February 6th another 3 months away for a total of 9 months to have my dental needs taken care of. It's absolutely ridiculous. Not to mention that I did come in last month on a cancellation just to be sent home with this office saying I need more time. A waste of gas and time. I needed a 90 minute appointment and no one called to say anything. And because of that I lost 1.5 hours for leaving work early. I, when there for a dental cleaning, and they didn't tell me that i didn't have medical insurance, and they when ahead and did it anyway. to make matters worse after the cleaning, they asked if i want the fluoride. I ask if it's part of it, and they say no, it's extra; all other places apply it as part of the job, but this business is a rip-off. So they have been trying to collect a payment for their job, but if they had let me know that i did not have insurance at that moment i would not have had the procedure done. i think this is a unlawful practice of there part and is not fare to the consumer to have to put through this. It took me forever to find a dentist I could go to. This place is great and friendly and helps you with what you need. When it's time for my appointment- they are always ready pretty quickly - I don't have to spend a lot of time in the waiting room. Thanks for fixing my teeth Dr Kyle! I literally went to 4 dentists office in the 4 years prior to coming here. They didn't listen to me and always talked me into what they wanted- which eventually led me to going somewhere else because it was never what I asked for. I needed veneers - I broke my front teeth in a car accident when I was 19 - and dentists would only give me tooth powder- which let just breaking off every few months and it was really stressful and embarrassing. Dr Kyle gave me veneers and he even had me come back and change them to get the right color. Thank you I love them! Finally found this place in 2017 and I'm staying. read more

This dental office has ridiculous billing issues. I have been fighting an erroneous charge for going on 2 years. I finally reached out to my previous employer on this office's behalf to PROVE the bill was paid by insurance previously. I have spent many, many, hours trying to get this resolved to no avail. Its been almost a year of waiting and I still haven't had my teeth cleaned?! If you have a bunch of time to waste. This is your chance. I came in for what I thought was a cleaning but left an HOUR AND HALF later with no cleaning. They explained "oh this is just for X-rays" I had to reschedule for the cleaning part of the exam.... Only they are booked out several months. So I wait MONTHS for my next appointment and they send a confusing slue of text messages attempting to confirm multiple appointments. I call to ask what's up and they said the cleaning is SPACED OUT OVER THREE APPOINTMENTS. I can't do that. They say if I miss one of the appointments that was never explained to me, then I have to reschedule all of them.... But they are booked out for months. HUGE WASTE OF TIME. read more

I am a huge fan of these folks here. They always go above and beyond. I have come here for 2 big irdeals, root extraction and crown. They work with me about making it the best cost. When i went over my insurance they then helped me with a cash discount for remainder. This vist i came in for them to check up on if it got worse. When taliing schedules the doc offered to do all the work same day!! Got in at 230, finished with the works by 5. Great staff, great work, and are very nice. read more

Ok so initially my experience started out negative but Dr. Kyle turned it around. So I was referred to Gentle Dental by both my mother and my insurance through ODS. I booked an appointment towards the end of October for November 9th. My insurance decided it wanted to change who I could see on November 5th and be a pain in my bum. Gentle Dental reached out to me the day before to let me know of the change (left a voicemail) I found it annoying that they would wait until the day before to let me know I was no longer covered but there isn't much I could do. When I called back they were closed so I left a voicemail. They called me back early the day of my appointment to discuss paying cash and go over my insurance stuff. I appreciate them calling me back but still wish we would have had this convo days prior. ANYWHOOO lol I show up to my appointment at 9:30 fill out my paperwork and go back. Their initial visit with X-ray pricing of only $50 is bomb (btw).. Here's where some more trouble starts.. After the x ray I sit there and sit there and sit there.. 10:45 rolls around and my mom is very irritated (she was there with me). I have a doctors appointment at 12:30 and my mother wanted to make sure I was on time for it. As soon as she voiced her opinion to Dr. Kyle he IMMEDIATELY steps up and into action. He apologizes for the wait and instead of making excuses he gets to work on my tooth without hesitation. I discuss my concern with not going numb easily and he goes above and beyond to ensure I was very numb before starting. He takes his time and we have good convo about the Cavaliers lol Overall the office staff was very polite as was the doctor. It seems as though there was a miscommunication with who had done what with me in the chair but like I said once Dr. Kyle found out he stepped up. Pointers: If you have state insurance stay up to date with them on who you're covered with. So you avoid cash pay or lack of coverage situations like me. Voice your concerns with Dr. Kyle. I stated coming here in 2014 after switching offices from another provider. I did some research online and this place has decent reviews. My fist visit was great. The staff is very nice and they are good at explaining all of the charges. After coming here for about 2 years I gave been very satisfied with the care and service received. I have yet to be billed for any hidden/ surprised charges. I have since moved my entire family's dental care to this office. The office is clean and I am greeted right when I walk in the door. The wait to get in for my appointments is very short. My doctor is friendly, and gives me straight information. This is by far the best dental office I have had. read more

My three and seven year old had an amazing time at the dentist - such a great experience that they have been talking about it all weekend. Jenny was amazing with my little one, she made her feel so comfortable throughout her whole appointment. Tyler helped my seven year old feel so comfortable that he wasn't even worried a bit being in his cleaning solo while I was in the other room. Dr. Kyle was wonderful and even gave my three year old a special prize at the end of her appointment. The front desk staff was just as great as the back! Annie gave us a friendly greeting quickly got us our paperwork to complete and Melissa made sure to find a time that worked for our families schedule on our way out to come back for our next cleanings. I have been going to this Gentle Dental for many years (over 8) and the service has been up and down over those years. It is currently in a major down swing. After my visit today I am going to switch providers, this was just the last straw. When I arrived at the front desk, one person was on the phone and the other appeared to be doing some paperwork. She greeted me nicely and asked me to wait a minute. I stood there for 5 - 10 seconds and then the phone rang. She answered it and proceeded to change screens and confirm an appointment while I was standing there waiting. She then went back to finish up her paperwork, again while I was standing there. When she finally got around to helping me I told her that I was not happy with being left to wait while she helped someone that called after I was already there. She started to argue and then stopped and checked me in. Worst thing was she had a badge that said Assistant/Associate Manager! When I went back for a small build up for a chipped tooth I got an obviously new graduate. He looks at my lower front teeth and then applies numbing cream. I ask why he is doing that when it is not in a spot that needs to be numbed. He tells me the dentist will decide if it needs to be numbed or not and he is preparing in case I need to be numbed. I let him proceed and the dentist comes in, I DON'T need to be numbed and he roughs up the area to have the build up and then leaves me with the other guy to do the actual work. He built it up way too much, I couldn't even put my back teeth together. He spent at least 10 - 15 minutes trying to grind down what he built up and kept hitting my other teeth with the instrument. I finally told him I wanted the dentist back and didn't want him working on me any more. Dentist comes in and spends at east 10 minutes fixing what the other guy did. It's not perfect as there is still a bump on the back of the tooth but at least I can now close my back teeth. NEVER AGAIN read more

My husband needed some work done on a tooth. We were expecting it to need to be pulled. Instead we were given several options that didn't require it to be pulled. Alyssa was phenomenal. She made the process super comfortable and easy to understand. Dr kyle was also fantastic. After the care my husband recieved today, I decided to make myself an appointment. I was over charged for procedures that my insurance covered, multiple times, even after I had notified them that my insurance did cover these procedures. These multiple over payments would have gone unnoticed had I not asked for an itemized billing report. Customer service to fix this problem was terrible, the woman just rude and unprofessional. I go in with my paperwork filled out. They mailed it to me in advance. Thought that was a good idea. Woman behind the desk was clearly suffering from a cold, flu, or allergic reaction -- sniffing, coughing, etc. I was relieved, thinking she was just a receptionist. Nope! She was my hygienist! So, at least "Sniffy" has on a mask and gloves, right? She does my x-rays and some more photos (not x-rays, color photos of my teeth). I'm watching this all with great interest. Then, she basically leaves me alone for the better part of 15 minutes while we wait for the dentist, Dr. Kyle Crawshaw (which is a perfect surname for a dentist, I have to admit). He asks me if any of my teeth hurts, reads off procedures for my cavities (hey, nobody's perfect), asks me a few questions and I answer in the affirmative or negative, as needed. After that, he jets. So far, great. I'm wondering when the cleaning starts. Are we not doing a cleaning? What's going on? Sniffy the Hygienist comes back and tells me that my sister called me. My sister? Why would my sister call me? Turns out Gentle Dental called her because she's my EMERGENCY CONTACT. Get this - just because I was laying there quietly, they felt that I wasn't "lucid." I got lucid pretty quick, and I let Sniffy have a piece of my mind for NOT EVEN BOTHERING TO TALK TO ME. That's right. Unlike the dentist, ol' snotnose didn't even bother casual communication with me. I thought that was weird, most people at dentists offices just won't shut up. I figured that she just had it under control. It was the worst customer service I have ever had in a professional field. Unfriendly services, unwarranted worry to my family - AND NOW I HAVE TO FIND A DIFFERENT DENTIST. If you are one of the Americans who, like me, is fortunate enough to have dental insurance, you should do yourself a favor and find a different dentist. Hopefully, one of the several in your network will be glad to have your business. Don't bother with this or any other Gentle Dental office -- it's the pits. What a waste of my time! read more

Used to be a great dentist office now it seems like Dr. Kyle Crawshaw is in such a rush he can't even be bothered to finish the work himself. Twice I've been there for a procedure and he has left to let the assistant finish, even after I told him I was unhappy with how my filling was handled after he left last time. The front office staff are also lacking now, I went in for a cleaning and they told me I owed them from my last appointment when I really had a CREDIT. I have had a horrible phobia of the dentist all of my life. I finally had to go in for my teeth because they were hurting, and I'm so glad I did. These guys are the best with the numbing (the needles were the really scary part for me), I never feel a thing. They are very used to scared patients, and will really work with you compassionately to help you through your fear. Thank you guys! I've been with them 10 years now. Every time I have visited I have been over charged. They will get there money if your EOBs are less than what they want. They are quick to send you to collections. Letting the assistant finish work is shotty. My crown needed re-cemented and it broke days after the assistant did the work...The office people are only nice if you follow what they want. Meaning, if you argue over what your EOB says you owe and what was paid out and what they think you owe is different..cause they're always right. BS. read more

I had several appointments this week at Gresham village Gentle Dental. The staff are amazing from the reception to the hygienist to the dentist himself. Krissy is amazing and has a beautiful mile and great personality, making me feel welcome from the minute I walked in. I met with Ashley for my teeth cleaning last week and at the end of the visit Dr. Kyle informed me that my crowns were in need of being replaced. Once again, Krissy figured out the best method financially for me to have my crowns replaced. Scheduled the appointment and I did the first half today. the dental assistant working with Dr. Kyle (Crawshaw I think is his last name) was extremely kind and very helpful. All staff are proficient and very professional. Dr. Kyle is personable and goes the extra mile. I love working with them and feel confident when I have dental work. The doctor and practice is very deceiving and uncaring. Dr. Kyle and the rest of staff pretend like they are friendly and are doing ethical work. I over heard the staff speaking about making a monthly quota for their finances. I came in for a cleaning and examination but I was rushed. The hygienist cleaned my teeth way too fast and the whole process was done in under 45 minutes for my first appointment. The doctor recommend fillings even though I've always had excellent dental health. He told me there was a cavity near my old filling which is definitely not true after a second opinion I had. They definitely cut corners and their work shows. I recommend finding a dentist that isn't part of a corporate chain. read more

When j left I letter hearing yell out my daughter name and thought to myself do I want I to bring my daughter back here, well the answer is no. The next day I saw a commercial there's 100.00 off 300.00 or more on services at gentle dental. So I emailed them asked if they would honor it. They emailed me back and said other cannot honor it only if I mentioned it at the appointment. I'm like wow. I'm never going back, so now you know.
