The receptionist went over the cost with me and said I wasn't obligated to join if I didn't want to. I decided to wait to see how my exam would go and decide afterwards. Dr. Daniel Nguyen sat down with me to go over any concerns I might have answering my questions and offering insights. He was polite and soft spoken and appeared interested in my issues. After my x-rays and exam, he went over my dental charts with me to show me what needed to be done. After my exam, because it was so thorough, I decided to opt in for the program which I could cancel at anytime. A few days later, I decided to go to another dentist for a second opinion and everything Dr. Daniel said, matched the opinions of the other dentist. As far as pricing, because I don't have insurance, I found that the payment program I opted in for made sense as the other dentist gave me a rundown of costs and would've charged way more. With this in mind I made my second appointment with doctor Nguyen to have the crown and fillings that were needed. He was gentle and methodical and did not rush the process. I had no problem with the crown that he put on my back molar. A few weeks later I went for another issue which he fixed. I highly recommend this dental office as the staff are friendly and knowledgeable, the office is clean and tidy, and Dr. Daniel really makes you feel relaxed and safe.

Natalie, the superwoman of that office [as observed at my very first appointment and each subsequent appointment, noting her calm and competent demeanor as she worked on my teeth and was able to answer questions from the very small, family-like staff simultaneously], I have no clue if I could have got a single filling in without Natalie being able and willing to explain to me word for word what we were about to do before just the deep clean section when she observed the start of my anxiety! Natalie called me before she left the office to check on my pain twice that week after the first fillings. Whatever Natalie does, it is observed from an outsiders perspective that she is well respected, looked up to, and knows as many answers as she can store and yet will still search any other questions for you if she doesn't know. Natalie helped make the transition to Brilliant Smile Dental easy, seamless, and genuinely feel welcomed as a patient rather than another number or a nuisance. Annalise at the front desk is always kind, helpful, professional & also returns calls if she says she will, which is more than appreciated from a patient perspective than she is likely aware of. Her kindness is likely more appreciated than she realizes; it has the ability to change people's days. I was left there to wait with the tech and an uncomfortable suction shield/saliva ejector in my mouth. There was no apology and I was told my filling needed to cure which I think is a lie because they had used a curing light and I didn't have sit around while the second one supposidely cured after I expressed my dissatisfaction. It felt unprofessional and unsettling. From my understanding, this isn't standard practice during dental work, and I left feeling frustrated and unsure about the care I received. I think they overbook patients because I also had to wait awhile to be seen in the first place by the dentist. With a newborn at home I was not happy with the appointment running longer than I was told it would be.

Because I am new to them, most will demand their own x-rays even though I just had them taken months ago. A simple request of my two previous offices was all that was needed. From my first call to being in the chair having my teeth cleaned was less than a week. Terrific!!! Receptionist Alice and hygienist Jeanette spent extra time talking with me. That made a world of difference! WARNING Caution Tape WARNING Caution Tape WARNING Caution On the way out to pay my small bill, I noticed a basket on the counter with what I thought were free samples. Good thing I asked, Alice said the teeth whitener kits are $5. I bought two. The directions inside the package were just too simple so I went to the opalescence website and read everything. No where did it say NOT to leave the trays in overnight. I do not fault the dentist office. The next morning my teeth were noticeably whiter but my gums and part of my tongue were burnt from the bleach and hydrogen peroxide. It took just under one week to heal.
