We have been coming here since last year. We decided to turn to corporate dentistry after my husband received a treatment plan from a dentist which included a plan not authorized by the FDA nor supported to prove effective, and denied by our insurance, UHC. We couldn't have found a better place than Gentle Dental Sandy for our needs. The dentist is fair and honest! The hygienist is thorough, gentle and efficient. The front office staff is professional and accommodating. I am 67 and my husband is 77. We have had a lot of experience comparatively and do not hand out favorable reviews unless a company excels an average standard. This office does excel and you can have confidence here. read more

Keep a tight watch on your wallet if you visit these folks. Their website offers a $50 "new patient" coupon which states: "New Patients $50 Exam & X-Rays Includes new patient exam and full mouth X-Rays. Get coupon for details." OK, that sounded like a good deal, and I've never seen these folks before, so I call and make an appointment. I also have a discount dental program (not insurance) - Carrington Dental - and confirmed when I called that they honor the Carrington C500 plan. I said I had their $50 coupon and would opt for whichever option gave me the best price and the person on the phone said "fine". So, I show up for my appointment and fill out all the paperwork. I asked the woman at the counter to compare the Carrington discount price vs. the coupon and I'd opt for the cheaper. The Carrington price 2021 price schedule, which they claimed they honor, has a price of $27 for a 'new patient exam - DO150; and has 4 bitewings Xray at $33 - DO274. A total of $60. When I turned the paperwork in the woman showed me a price sheet for my initial exam (x-rays and exam) which had a retail price of $241 and the Carrington discount price at $91. I said OK, I'll opt for the coupon price of $50, but she refused to accept my $50 Gentle Dental coupon stating that the coupon was not valid since I had given her my Carrington information, so she could find me the best price. I said 'no, thanks' and left the office without seeing the dentist or getting x-rays. I can't give a review on how good the dentists are, but it seems pretty obvious that these folks are pretty good at the old 'bait and switch. I would give 0/5 stars if it was allowed. The staff was extremely rude and bumped me after making me wait 7 minutes before checking me in. Their consent forms require that you give blanket consent for whatever the Dr decides. When I refused to sign them (I don't know about you, but I like to give consent for anesthesia, antibiotics, procedures, etc) and asked if they had a "consent to examine" form instead, they became combative and told me I had to sign or they wouldn't see me. I left. I have no idea the caliber of the dentist or hygienists there, but their policies and other staff are awful. Read everything before you sign. read more

This dental office is Ridiculous. They have charged me 600$ twice for a teeth cleaning and the dentist was quite rude to me. He assumed I had a illness that I don't have and didn't have great bedside manners. I do not recommend this dentist. read more

I am very impressed with the friendliness and level of excellence of the oral care team at Sandy Gentle Dental. I've been to many dentists in my life, but none of them came close to their gentleness and the way they make patients feel relaxed and cared for. I had a bad tooth I needed removed right away, and they were able to get me in the same day. The Doctor made sure and numbed me really good (cuz I'm very difficult to numb for some reason). I didn't feel a thing! He worked very hard to get my tooth out and now he is my new dentist. His assistant and staff were very kind as well. read more

I have been going to this company for 10 years and after today never again. The office personnel are extremely rude and will talk over you if you are in the middle of talking. They snap at you and refuse to give you to the office manager on duty when asked for. Due to that patient relations with in this office I will never recommend this office to anyone. Everyone check your provider make sure they send and submit work being done.I go through Delta and found out they billed me for wrong tooth and way too much..You can't get through to anyone to fix your billing and no one returns calls. What is so sad if they don't tell you anything until it's to late.. So go through somewhere else less headache and you probably get more helpful information..Gentle Dental do reply like you are going to fix it cause you won't. read more

I recently switched to this dental office, and I am so glad that I did! The entire staff is clearly focused on patient care and comfort above all else. From the moment I walked in, and was greeted by Kalyn, who seems to take a genuine interest in each patient, to the care shown by the dental assistant, Bailey, and the excellent work done by Dr. Grewal, it was a very positive experience. The dentist and assistant were invested in making sure that I was comfortable at all times, and they also explained what they were doing as they did it, which is really nice for people who are scared of dental work. It's a very comfortable environment overall, and I will definitely be recommending this office to friends. read more

OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SO MY FATHER IS 81 YEARS YOUNG.....TEETH AGE JUST LIKE THE BODY. Well, these fine folk are not only skilled, they are kind!!! We are talking my Dad's front tooth. They treated him with such kindness first of all. Then they worked a skilled wonder. They put a big front tooth on a partial. I don't know about you, but I was impressed. It made my Dad so proud because it looks much much better than his original tooth, but it does not look fake. And there is more. Because they informed me about an insurance option, it cost much less than I ever imagined it would. After oral surgery you can not get a hold of a person at the office, I called 5X during working hours after my surgery and you can only leave a message and they never get back to you. Called 2X more times off hours and emergency and they get back to you but I needed the Dr. who worked on me to assist me, so on call Dr. told me I had to call right at 8am to talk to somebody at office. I called at 8am and had to leave another message and still no call back at all. Once your surgery is done, there customer service and happy faces turn into a middle finger. Beyond disappointed in there customer service after surgery, especially when I'm contacting them with a mistake they made, disrespectful!!! read more

Bluntly, the office staff are nice people - as people. It's the policies and business structure that failed and I figure they just have to do what they're told to. Worst part is, I was not allowed to remain with my child. During X rays makes sense, but all the rest of the time too she was not only alone with the staff but much of the time just plain alone. That, for me, was an automatic fire. They didn't do the cleaning, though we scheduled for an exam and cleaning. Our time was wasted. The management/policies leave SO much to be desired, but the staff were pleasant, and I don't hold them accountable, they have to follow policy. read more

First I'll start with the front office staff. They are extremely polite and cheerful and very helpful. They deserve 5 stars unfortunately this review is for the location as a whole. I feel that the dentist is in too much of a hurry to truly listen or have understanding of what can be done to remedy care that both can agree on. I have had a lot of work done in this office with this dentist. Today I had an apt. I was under the impression of one thing and was found to be lied to about what was done(too help me out there was no charge) and again snapped at that I needed a crown and she walked out of the room. At which point I don't even know if she knew which tooth I was talking about that I needed help with. Next the dental hygienist came in to examine me (which she by the way is amazing) during which time the dentist returned interrupting the exam. I called her on it then the next thing I know I'm being told they are referring me to another dentist. I left there feeling humuliated and let down. If you are so sure i need a crown on every tooth why cant you figure out whats wrong with it. I dont appreciate "my way or the highway" its MY mouth, MY insurance, and MY money. Had a dental apt at Gentle Dental in Sandy for kiddo at 12:15. Pull up and there's a sign on the door that says they're in a meeting until 12:30. That's cool first time here and already making good impressions. Went inside and the check in staff was not pleasant. There was issues verifying my insurance and the gal lied to my face about calling me beforehand to alert me to this, so I brought my toddler in for the appointment and we waited while she called to verify my husbands insurance. Then she was snarky the rest of the time. Poor customer service. Hopefully the first face you see when you enter isn't this lady's. read more

I was in there a few weeks ago and I could smell cigarette smell from the front office it was so gross. The manager was not friendly at all had what i felt a very fake smile on her face. I would never recommend anyone to this place. It was not clean I use to go to it about a year ago and it was clean the office staff was AWESOME!!
