Lets start the day with a good ol' root canal.... said no one ever! In fact many of use would probably be squirming in our shoes at the very thought of such a procedure, maybe even consider bolting toward the door at an attempt to avoid such a dreaded event. However, let me tell you, getting a root canal is really no big deal if you choose the right professional who is very knowledgeable and compassionate in their work. Dr. Monson is just that! From the moment I walked through the door I recieved nothing but the best of care from the entire staff. I was greeted warmly at check in by Kate at the reception desk, and very soon after, again by the dental assistant (who's name has temporarily slipped my mind) that assisted Dr. Monson during the procedure. My first thought was...."wow, everyone is so pleasant and attentive to any needs or concerns that I may have!" I was offered blankets, WiFi access (for music), and television privileges. Before the preop Dr. Monson asked me if I had any questions, concerns, or felt anxious in any way regarding the procedure? Dr. Monson made certain that I was fully numb around the tooth and surrounding tissue before he ever started working on it, so as to prevent any pain from the surgery. He communicated clearly to me before each step of the procedure so that I knew what would happen next before it happened. Both Dr. Monson and his assistant worked seamlessly as a team and often times anticipated each other's need before it was even verbalized....passing instruments back and forth to each other; as I just sat back and enjoyed the watching one of my favorite television shows. I was given breaks to visit the restroom and get up and walk around a bit....stretch, and relax my jaw, instead of being confined to a dental chair continuously for 3 hours. Every possible courtesy was delivered without hesitation. This is truly a dental practice that works as a team and provides the best of care to their patients. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for a dentist for not only routine dental work, but also for someone who has great knowledge and experience performing root canals. So you know how there's different types of soulmates? Friend soulmates, significant other soul mates, sexual soulmates, co worker soulmates, animal soulmates and the like? I'm pretty sure I found my dentist soulmateDr. Seth you are amazing. The whole team is. You have no idea just how amazing you guys are. This team is on top of things. Dr texts to make sure I'm ok. They play whatever pandora music you want/need while doing procedure. The setting and ambiance is so relaxing. Everyone makes sure you are comfy(they can even put you to sleep!) and I was never judged for the horrible state of my teeth. So I had kind of a problem during my procedure to get dentures...rare thing where your teeth are freaking fused to your jaw....I feel like I would have had to go for emergency oral surgery if I had gone to most regular dentists....but Dr. Seth did it! I am seriously blessed that he was the dentist to be there to find that problem because he walked me through beginning to end and essentially saved my jaw where other dentists would not have cared because it took sooooo long. 1 hr thing turned into 4+. He checked on me EVERY DAY for a week after! And is still making sure I'm ok and fitting me in if I need anything more. Whatever you need done this team is 1000% there for their patients beginning to end. And with respect and love. We needed a new dentist as ours had retired. Our oldest daughter needed some work done before her insurance expired, and I had heard good things about Main Street Dental and Dr. Seth. I brought my daughter in for a cleaning and to have several cavities filled before her birthday. From our first call, through today's final filling appointment, Dr. Seth and his staff have been outstanding. Everyone there went out of their way to make sure we were treated with excellent care, respect, and genuine, above-and-beyond kindness. They made sure to get us in before our deadline, and even with the many issues that made us more difficult patients than most, Dr. Seth and Elijah were patient and extremely gracious with us, and went out of their way to make us feel relaxed and comfortable. They explained each step to us and gave us the freedom to direct our care. I cannot say enough about how wonderful Dr. Seth and his staff are. I've taken my kids here twice, and they LOVE it. We've visited other dentists, but the staff at Main Street Dental are so kind and patient while working with toddlers/ younger kids. For context, my younger daughter finds haircuts traumatic, so I was really worried about how her dentist visit & cleaning would go. They were amazing with her. She was able to watch a show, play with the dental tools, spray water, etc. Then when she was ready, she had her teeth polished, and she held perfectly still for ~10 minutes of cleaning. I was amazed - Tracy is the queen of toddlers! Dr. AJ checked one daughter's teeth, and Dr. Seth checked the other's. Both were great and so sincere. I was just beyond impressed with everyone in the office's kindness and professionalism throughout the whole experience. I've never written a review before, but I had such a great experience at Main Street Dental that I felt compelled to. My teeth were in terrible shape and were completely worn down and yellow. I missed many reunions and events because of the embarrassment that I felt when I had to talk to people. My teeth had gotten so bad that I even felt uncomfortable around my wife and family. Within a few hours at Main Street dental. Dr. Seth Monson had me fitted fitted for 6 crowns for my upper front teeth. It was painless, and I walked out of his practice with a completely new smile. I have a special needs daughter that is transitioning from a pediatric dentist to a regular dentist.(she does not like going to the dentist) She had a really bad tooth ache Dr Seth and Kate bent over backwards to make her feel so comfortable in such a short time that she went in and got her bad tooth taken care of. I had a very small chip in my tooth that i let go and yesterday ( Saturday July 1st ) i ended up chipping a very large hole in it. My fiancee called around and places were either closed or wanted a fair amount of money for emergency visits. Main street dental was the last place she ended up calling and Seth was beyond amazing. He told me he believes in what comes around goes around not only did he take the time to come in to the office he was genuinely concerned about my issue. Once we got there it was only 30-40 minutes before i was fixed up and ready to go, no long process or numbing just quick and easy and my tooth feels better than ever. Dr. Monson is the best dentist someone could have. He has always been careful to take time for my questions, explain things well, and try to fit me into the schedule as soon as possible. At times he has gone out of his way to text me to find if I am doing alright with a procedure, to reassure me when I felt concern and fit me in sooner to get a crown when I had a crazy schedule coming up. He and his team are cheerful and kind and WOW I can chew because he saved a tooth. They do whatever possible to please. The team works well together with positive regard. The best place ever. I have even felt so comfortable going to the denist before. They have new technology to take x-rays that is pain free. Main Street Dental is the reason I now like going to the dentist! Shocking, right? Well growing up and having horrible experiences with Dentist deterred me from going for years, too many honestly. However, Dr. Seth and Dr. Tyler completely changed that for me! I now go to the dentist happy and willing to be there. The care they give is amazing. Easily the best service I have ever gotten from a dentist office! I have had 2 root canals done in the last month, which I was dreading since my 1st root canal I ever had didn't go to well. I was in horrendous pain for 2 days and didn't want to experience that pain again. After getting my root canal done by Dr. Seth Monson and his DA Tracy I was in absolutely no pain after wards. DR. Monson talks you through the procedure and is always checking on your pain level at the moment and just makes you very comfortable while doing this dreadful procedure. I have been going to Main Street Dental for a number of years. My husband and I have had everything from cleanings to crowns. They have always been very kind and thoughtful. Recently I had a dental need, and due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, I was concerned about how I could have treatment. Dr. Monson was very helpful. He was able to take care of me within the regulations quickly and with the utmost compassion. The office was maintained very safely, with disposable sleeves on doorknobs, limited entry, and even a cover on the pen I needed to use. I agree 100% with the other reviews that say that Dr. Seth and all the crew are amazingly kind and caring. What I'd like to add is that they are also extremely skilled. They have all the new dental tech, are up on all the latest knowledge, are super dental geeks in the best possible way, and really seem to love what they do. When adjusting my new crown today, Dr. Seth took his time, listened to my concerns, and explained what he was doing and why at every step. My husband and I both love going to Main Street Dental. We have both had extractions due to "old teeth" and it has been an experience different than we have ever had. No complications and instructions you can understand. They make you feel right at home, explain everything about the procedure and strive to make you feel comfortable, no pain and even music to block out dental noises if needed. GO ANYWHERE BUT HERE!!!!! They told me AFTER the fact, that their policy is NOT to prescribe pain medication (unless there is an infection)! WTF.?..there was a tooth extraction and NO PAIN MEDS!? UNBELIEVABLE!!...even after they admitted to a mistake during the original procedure (forgetting to cut a piece of metal), cutting the inside of the mouth, causing swelling, puss, and bleeding for more than 48 hours, 3 visits and NOT ONE PAIN MED! I'm squeamish about trips to the dentist. I don't do well with scraping noises or being poked. The folks at Main Street Dental not only manage to make the experience tolerable-- they make it a treat. Georgina (the hygienist I see) is gentle and considerate and Dr Monson is increadibly kind and conscientious. I loved seeing Dr Monness at Main Street for years before he retired and am happy that he found such a great replacement. The rest of the staff is fab too. I Highly recommend seeing any of them. I have a phobia of going to the dentist but Main Street Dental has made the entire experience amazing! The environment is so comfortable and they are all so friendly! MOUTH BUTCHER!! If only Yelp had a negative star option! If you don't mind having people hacking up your mouth, while refusing to provide ANY pain relief- this is the place for you! (Personally if I wonder if they have been disallowed to prescribe medication, as I have never heard of a doctor, WHO CAN SEE A CRYING PATIENT, refusing to address the pain!)
