The staff and Dr Dustin were also very understanding about having a child who still needs to nurse in the night - I didn't feel lectured or made to feel guilty for doing what helps us all get much needed sleep (even though it might not be the best for his teeth). Dr. Sheena (and her entire staff) are extremely patient and kind with him every visit. They meet him where he's at, play with him, use imaginative talk and take each visit very slowly. The entire practice is children's themed. The Lobby plays films and there are toys/prizes for patients. They make it a fun experience and he's slowly starting to open up because of it. Recently, my son experienced a first very painful cavity/tooth infection and Dr Sheena tirelessly helped us resolve the issue one weekend. She's truly a rockstar dentist who really cares. Then our son required dental surgery, Dr. Sheena, plus her staff, couldn't have been more patient with US! Two anxious parents terrified of putting our son under anesthesia. They answered all of our questions, texts, calls and were sure to let us know "You are not alone, we are here to help" which is a God-send to hear as worried parent. They never rush, they meet each child where they are, and they make every visit feel safe and fun. As a parent, it's such a relief to find providers who genuinely understand that every child is different and who adjust their approach with kindness and compassion. The hygienist we see is Matt and he's really great with the kids. He's fun and patient and has all kinds of tricks up his sleeve to make the cleaning and exam a positive experience. He gives them lots of choices throughout the exam (fluoride flavor, toothbrush color, etc.) so they feel they're really making some big decisions. And they get prizes afterward...never a bad thing. We've seen 2 dentists, Dr. Noel and Dr. Andrea and they are both terrific. Gentle and patient and they really take a lot of time with the parents and kids. This office sets exactly the right tone for kids as they become accustomed to seeing the dentist and I'm so glad we found them. My kids aren't afraid of seeing the dentist, which is more than I can say for my husband.

Even during the summer, they were able to schedule an appointment for a cleaning for our now 4yo for the next day. Parking could be an issue, but wasn't on cleaning day. Upon walking into the business, you KNOW this place is for kids: Multiple giant fish tanks, a large play kitchen, stuffies, prize containers (for successful appointments), and a wooden train table are available for kids to play with while waiting for their appointment. My daughter thought she had walked into a play facility instead of a medical office and I had plenty of time to complete the initial paperwork. Upon meeting our dental assistant, I was blown away! So sweet, cheery, and willing to read and respond to my daughters' needs, my daughter was able to ease into the whole experience positively. The dental assistant taught her the names of the tools, had her hear/feel/see them work before they entered her mouth, and gave TONS of choices (flavors, sunglasses, etc). As an educator myself, it was clear that our dental assistant had early childhood experience or educational background. Overall, my daughter was comfortable enough to get ALL her teeth polished and even fluoride administered during her 20min appointment. When she was done, she received choices for prizes- tokens for the prize containers in the waiting room or a balloon. Shoot, even I had a good time! If you're considering any dental office for your little to begin their dental journey, I could not recommend Little Smiles enough and will be telling all my momma and papa friends to go here! Update: My daughter was send a "Thank you" card in the mail with her picture and all the staffs' signatures. She was so happy that her eyes filled with tears!
