I really hate writing scathing reviews. I much prefer writing more positive ones whenever I can. This one is definitely not positive, and I've put off writing it for well over a year in order to see if things would change. They haven't. I used to take my car for service to Gresham Chrysler and was very pleased with their service dept. But sadly, they closed, so I took my minivan to Gresham Dodge, just up the road. Unlike my previous dealer, Gresham Dodge does NOT take appointments. You go in and you take your chances. You could have a two hour wait, or a half day wait, depending on how busy they were. Minus one star. Parking is very limited. But no biggie. I'd park my car, walk into the service department, and up to one of the two service desks. I was not greeted with the same kind of welcoming friendliness with which I'd always been greeted at Gresham Chrysler. And woe to me if either service guy was on the phone, because if they were, I would stand there without even a wave of greeting. There have been times when I've just stood there for ten minutes, waiting for some kind of acknowledgement or a smile, or something. Both guys would just keep talking as if I weren't even there. Minus another star. If I were lucky, I'd be told that it'd take about an hour and a half to get my car done. Because they don't take appointments so I had to wait in line. At Gresham Chrysler I'd make an appointment and without fail was in and out of there in no more than 45 minutes! But okay, an hour an a half. I'd wait in their waiting room. Not very big, but reasonable. I can handle that. The only problem was that my car was rarely done in that amount of time. Nobody would come and tell me what was going on. And if I went back out to the service desks to find out how much longer again, the guys were pretty well always on the phone and you guessed it, I'd just stand there as if I were invisible. It bordered on downright rudeness. Minus another star. I get my car's oil changed every 3000 miles, so I was there several times a year and it was always the same. But the thing that made me vow never to go back was the time that while I was waiting and waiting for my car to get lubed (talking with two other customers who'd been waiting for HOURS), when the service guy came in and told me they'd found some problems and that he needed to get an estimate for what needed to be done. He said it'd take 20 minutes and that he'd be back then. Okay, I can wait. Twenty minutes passed. Then thirty. Then fifty. No sign of the service guy. So I walked out to his desk to find out what was going on. You guessed it. He was on the phone. And guess what else? He didn't even acknowledge my presence, and I can guarantee you I didn't have my invisibility cloak on. I pointed to my watch. No response except that he shuffled a few papers around. I went back to the waiting room. Minus yet another star. The other customers in the waiting room were mad. They'd been getting the same runaround that I'd been getting. One guy said he'd only stopped to get his car lubed there was because he was in town, but he could guarantee that he'd never be back. Finally, approximately twenty minutes or so after I'd gone out to the service bay, the service guy came in with a long list of things that needed to be done to my car, which added up to, are you ready? Over $1300 worth of repairs! All listed on my lube/oil sheet. I told him I wasn't prepared to get that done so could he please just check me out. I was very polite. I walked over to the cashier, who was extremely friendly, and the only person in the service department who treated me with any kind of courtesy whatsoever. Guess what? I waited at her window for over ten minutes for my paperwork so that she could check me out! Finally I asked her if I could walk over and get it because by now I'd been there almost three hours. She said she'd do it, and did. Now here's the clincher. Because I was concerned about the list of "necessary" repairs that I'd been given, I made an appointment with Cleveland Auto Repair (see my 5-star reviews for that business!) to have them go over my car and see if, in fact, those repairs needed to be done. I was willing to pay them to have it checked out. And guess what? I bet you already have. Not a single one of those items on the list that the people at Gresham Dodge had given me needed to be done! Not one! Minus every single remaining star that I could remove. Cleveland Auto Repair saved me over thirteen hundred dollars! I was so mad that at that point I vowed I would never return to Gresham Dodge, and I haven't. It's 15 minutes from where I live, but I gladly drive all the way to Vancouver to Dick Hannah Chrysler (see my review) to get my car lubed. Zero stars if I could for Gresham Dodge service dept. I gave you more than a year of chances but you blew it. Big time. read more

I bought a new Jeep grand Cherokee in April 2018 and have not been impressed with the service department. One appointment I had was going to take over 2 1/2 hours because they were busy even though I had an appointment scheduled. Another time I wasn't able to get everything checked out because it took all day for them to try to identify an issue I was having with the electronics. I took it in for an oil change and tire rotation a month ago And today I was at Les Schwab because I had a rock in my rotor from going up to Mt. Hood And the Lugnuts on one of my wheels were loose which I'm sure is from getting the tires rotated. When I got the tires rotated one of my tires were low on air and they didn't even check it. I would think if you're getting your tires rotated that the service department would check the PSI on the air after rotating. read more

This was the first time I've purchased off a lot because I typically dread these types of places and their creepy sales folk. Don't expect to get ahold of anybody here if you are calling. Receptionist transfers me, rings and rings to voicemail. I tried hanging up and calling again and the receptionist keeps automatically transferring my call without answering to the same line nobody is answering either. I just need to get my truck fixed that is under warranty and get this figured out. Nobody's helping! read more

We have always received the highest quality customer service and value our relationship with this dealership. The sales staff, especially Andrew and Greg, are extremely professional and knowledgeable, and we actually enjoy doing business with them. Jason and Eric, in parts and service, are always upbeat and able to assist with whatever our needs are. I also appreciated the few times we were able to work with Will who took care of our creative financing needs. From time to time you may run into a bad salesman, but they are quick to relieve you if you find yourself in that situation. It's really only happened to us once. When I read reviews I am quick to realize that people generally leverage one bad experience to demean an entire business or person. Yelp is often the go-to for this kind of activity and it's truly a PITA if you're a business owner or, worse a person seeking to find relevant experiences about a place they'd like to take their cash for whatever they need... Automobile service establishments are easily criticized. I will do the opposite. In the case of the Service Department at Gresham Chrysler, both my father and I have had nothing but positive experiences at this facility and rely on them to maintain 3 different MOPAR automobiles - without fail, and with complete satisfaction. If you happen to go in, ask to meet Ken Knudson. He's the Service Manager and will treat you with respect, and ensure that you receive the proper care. Face it, no one likes to have their car worked on. Lack of trust is the core reason. Give these guys a chance. We trust them and while we both hate paying the bills, our cars run well, they are properly maintained, and we like the people doing the work. That's a win. read more

I looked over the offer and decided to go to the dealership website to see what else they had. I found the exact vehicle I was given the "Exclusive Offer" on by verifying Stock #'s. The vehicle was listed on their dealership website for less than my "Exclusive Offer"! I called them out on this and never received a response. Find a different dealership, as I did! read more

I will never return to this dealership, my latest visit was horrible after being on hold for 20 minutes on 3 different days I just went in to set appointment for my motor issue, when I arrived the service garage door was closed I walked in not a service advisor at any desk it was very dark inside a older lady with glasses came out and was completely RUDE as if I was a inconvenience to her I told her my issues and she responded to me as if I was some type of kid horrible customer service. I have had a few fixes done on my charger for multiple thousands I worked with james and Jason great experience, come to find out they both have left this service department sadly! who ever did the work on my heads did a horrible job my rocker arms and pins came loose and were chattering less then 10k miles after the "REPAIR". I have deiced to try the new Portland location and I am very pleased my head work was covered I will not be back to Gresham DODGE !!!! very much lost a customer and I recommend you don't visit either!! read more

OK, the experience is not the same as a BMW or Mercedes dealership. This is a mass market brand dealership. But for what it is, it's as good as it gets. After a negative experience at NW Jeep in Beaverton (near our house), we made the very inconvenient trip out to Gresham to buy our Rubicon. It's a 40 minute drive from our house on a good day, and it was worth it. They were patient with us as we agonized over our decision. They let us take a new Rubicon home with us for the night so that we could drive it on the highway and on the roads near our house without a salesman in the car. When it came time to pull the trigger, the exact Rubicon we wanted wasn't on the lot. But without haggling, they offered the invoice price and waived all transportation and destination fees and a vehicle in transit. Straight ahead KBB value on the trade-in and we were good to go. No drama. I'll take the vehicle there for service, though it is inconvenient. read more

This dodge seems to always be busy but they usually get me in and out as quick as possible. I prefer coming here, I don't feel like they try to rip me off on services I don't need, like jiffy lube, they try to sell you everything under the sun. I came in this past week for a routine oil change. I did learn the prices had unfortunately gone up due to the type of oil they were currently using. I was kind of disappointed, until I checked in on Yelp and discovered I was given a 10 percent off coupon to use. The gal at the check out counter wasn't hesitant to honor it. I was super excited about that. I've had experiences where you bring in a coupon and the company acts as though they don't want to except it. Normally, the waiting room tv works, not sure what was going on last week but I took my daughter in the kids play room to keep her occupied. The staff is always so friendly and nice. The facility is pretty well kept also. I'll continue to come to this location. I enjoy a place with great service. read more

Took my Renegade here for warranty repairs. The service advisor in charge of my vehicle could not communicate appropriately, would hardly make eye contact and did not leave me feeling confident my problems would be dealt with. I was told they were fixed or could not be duplicated. Days later I noticed the issue that was supposed to be fixed definitely was not. Called and discussed the issue with a manager and have not heard back since. Where is the customer service? Where is the follow through? Won't be returning here. read more

Please save your time and money and avoid this place! I was on hold for 15 minutes just to get a quote on a transmission service. Never got the quote because I was transferred around until I was talking to an answering machine. I thought I would give Gresham Dodge one more chance after they SCREWED me on a new clutch for my diesel pick-up, for which they charged me $2000 and I found out Six States does the same job with a better clutch for $800. Went in for oil change and inquired about 3 for $99.99 offer. Advised by Whitney she thought it would be $150 (she claims she said between $150 to $195). Stated I don't need tire rotation due to staggered tires, tech standing there confirmed I had staggered set up and did not want rotation done. Went to pick up and was surprised it was $180. My fault for not getting it in writing for the quote of $150. Asked for cashier to confirm Whitney said $150, she came back claiming she told me between $150 and $195. Yeah I'm calling BS on that. Let me be clear I would have been ok paying the $180 obviously I did. But to say you quoted me $150 to $195, please I'm not an moron. I am well aware when something can be 20 to 25% more than what I was quoted. Again I should have gotten it written before I dropped it off. That's on me. What is done is done but regardless score is a deserved 1 star for trying to pull one over on average customer. $180 for 4 oil changes I'm good with but insulted that she told me she said that. Truth means more and it's not good for Whitney. Will be asking to work with another service writer in the future. This repair shop saved me. I had someone not tighten down a spark plug on my 2007 hooptie and it blew out of the cylinder and stripped the threading. Disastrous, right? This dealership quoted me (thanks Jeremy!) fairly, got the car back to me more quickly than promised, and fixed it. I am so excited right now! The customer service was prompt, the repair was awesome, and the cost was more than fair (especially with the yelp deal that I snagged.) I can't say enough good things. Thank you guys! read more

Grrrrrr, took the Durango in to the Gresham Dodge dealership to replace the wiper motor. Guy quotes us $125, if it's more he'll call us before they do the work. 3 hours later they call and tell us they don't have the part. We go to O'Rielys, they have it. We call the guy back and tell him we found the part, take it to them so they can replace it... I'm thinking we paid for the part so they just have to do the labor, should be less than $125. They call us a couple of hours later and tell us the car is ready, that'll be $500!! WTF?? We finally get them down to $180 which is still a lot more and we had to spend another to buy the part! It is unfair but there is nothing we can do, they had our car and credit card number. read more

BUYER BEWARE!!!!! I bought a certified preowned vehicle from here 3 months ago. For the first 1 1/2 months the car had problems overheating when idling. Spoke to the dealership multiple x's and got the run around on when I could bring it in and that I would have to pay (we were under warranty.. so how about no??) Did some digging around and there was an old GAS CAP stuck in the engine fan. It appeared that the dealership when changing the oil, lost it somewhere in the engine.. said fuck it.. lets just throw a new one on and hope it fell out. NEGLIGENCE!! THEN.. Come to find out... the dealership also lied about our car being in an accident prior to purchase. Turns out drivers side was completely crunched and auctioned upon purchase. Now I know car salesmen are sleazebags by trade but this dealership really takes the cake. After countless emails and phone calls, I still have yet to speak to someone in charge. This place has the worst customer service and is very overpriced. I called and asked for my check engine light to be diagnosed and opted to wait two days to schedule it for a convenient time, they said it would take one hour. I got there and they said it would be an extra 200 and something dollars to do a general inspection and because of their scheduling system I would have to wait 3 to 5 hours. An extra 20 minutes understandable, And extra two hours to half a day is ridiculous and shows how little they care about the customers. Find somebody else read more

Jason Stine was very RUDE and flat out said "HE WAS NOT FIXING ANYTHING. THAT I BOUGHT A USED VEHICLE and should of spent a few thousand more for the warranty!" FYI We asked for it but vehicle had to many miles...! His Salesman VLAD made an excuse for something not working, so we believed him and have 3 witnesses on what he said, then would not admit it to his high up. He also was tiring to hook up with my daughter, she said no and he went mad on her! My daughter is still scared. I will be witting a letter about my FULL experience! Even Tim (one of the guys behind the doors) said something then said he didn't! Tim also did not look into the problem enough and focused solely on wanting something in Writing from Jason instead of what was wrong. We called Jason, it was his day off and he would not answer the several calls and voicemails. Turns out it was a faulty Stereo. It would of been nice if they could of figured that out instead of me after calling UCONNECT. No one seemed to care I came in with a working stereo and left with it not working at all after service tried to fix it. The ONE star is for the service department, it was not their fault after all. I couldn't do NO Stars. Went to fill truck up and gas attendant had asked where I got my truck (located just North of the dealership) I told him and he said he disliked them too and that they were liars and mean people. HHMMM well there you go! Please get EVERYTHING in writing! Please be very careful! I ended up having to still pay half of the problem VLAD said most likely worked... On top of all the diesel I spent coming to service 3 different times and all the time I waisted in my days. I will Never go there again and my truck will be serviced at a different location FARTHER AWAY only because I personally don't want to see the people I stated above. BUYER BEWARE!! Gresham Dodge literally fucked us! we spent 20k CASH on a truck in April 2017 and $2,500 on a warranty. 'Phil" told us that after a year if we didn't want to keep the warranty we could cash it out and get back half i.e. $1250 (at the year mark). Well, we sold the truck so we wanted to cash out the warranty, we've only had it since April 2017 (3 months when filed for the cash out). They tell us we can only get $1000 back! I'm like wtf? in short they LIED to us to get us to take the warranty. These are deceptive and misleading business practices... read more

If I could give zero stars for this business I would. The management support staff is almost nonexistent. Trying to have them help you with an abnormal situation is impossible. The simple fact that the manager would rather have me call corporate to have a situation handled is completely unacceptable. They are very money driven money hungry business and they refused to take care of their customers when they know that they're in the wrong. Coming from writing service and managing shops for over seven years I can't believe the way that the manager acted in front of me today. I can assure you that I will never return to this establishment for Parts, service, or to buy a motor vehicle. I originally bought my 01 ram at Gresham dodge. That was a good experance. So I wanted a newer truck and bought a 07 ram 2500 it was in the shop more than in my position I put 200 miles on it and traded it in on a 14 ram and lost 6k and paid full price on the 2014.
