You'd think this would be an easy search, but it was nothing but frustrating. I was pretty much ignored in all the "big name" stores. What I would have given for someone to simply point me in the right direction! I just wanted to buy a simple roller shade. How hard could this be for them? And then I walked into Advance Auto Parts on E. Powell in Gresham - and KNEW I had finally found my place. No sooner did I walk in the door than "Brett" asked if I needed some help. When I mentioned wanting a roller sun shade, he went to the back and personally brought out the one he used for his own car! "These work really well for me," he said. "Want to see if it works for your car, before you buy?" With that, we went outside and tried it on my car. It was perfect. (The price was really reasonable, too!) Now THAT was good customer service! That Brett would take the time to "demonstrate" a product, to make sure it would work for me was a very kind (and darned impressive) thing to do. I hope Advance Auto Parts pays this man well. I had a factory defect on an item I purchased at another Advanced Auto Parts store, and they accepted the return here. Funny thing was the second item I bought (at this store), also had a defect. However, they accepted a return on that one too. The third purchase got it right. The product defect was no fault of theirs by the way! I was just about to call a tow when a neighbor said it's got to be the battery for the ticking sound and jumped it. My jumper didn't start my car so I thought it wasn't the battery. I shared my morning with John S. at Autozone and had a laugh. I was so happy it was not the $tarter. John S. installed a better battery and ran all the checks with the checking tool. I asked for that particular stock number, Trico, single blade, drivers side, quantity one, one each, as they say in the military. the guy who took the call looked it up, said no problem, we will get it from our warehouse just come by after 2pm same day. wow, mad customer service skills, thanks bro. at 2: 30pm I'm waiting at a light on the way home with my new wiper blade and I notice it's not one blade, it's two. it's not custom sized to fit any vehicle in particular, it's an aftermarket NAPA snap-off wiper blade. it was EXACTLY what I didn't want. I ask management, rhetorically, how did this happen? is it possible that I could have possibly made this phone order possibly more clear than I did? impossible. dz

Wally mart no longer hires people who care. That and wally mart is a little far for bad service. I tried Autozone no longer has a book but they now have QR Codes. Dummy me forgot my phone but luckily they have awesome employees who gladly look up parts for you and go get them for you. I looked away for a few seconds to realize the clerk had ran off to get my part for me. Great customer service for a $16.00 part. This Autozone is only a couple miles from my house making it my go to auto parts store. They even have a self check out kiosk, it's really just a counter space by the door with a computer and scanner. I used it. If I figured it out, I'm sure almost anyone could.

It was clear these guys were Subject Matter Experts, and I didn't hesitate to give them all my business. In the last 10 years, I have completely replaced my suspension, clutch and flywheel, steering wheel and a host of low value wear items. I can shop here with complete confidence and my only knock is not being local. It would be great if I could drive in. At one point they also had a direct line when maid maintenance and planning easy, but it appears a large percentage of those calls were from less than serious shoppers. Either way, it may take longer to get the answers I need, but it's always worth the wait. There are others online that may tempt you with lower priced packages but be careful. You may think you are getting OEM only to time out that only 1 piece out of the 4-piece kit is actually OEM. With Cascade, you never have to worry. They are 100% clear about what you are getting, so shop with confidence.

I contacted Cascade and told them they shipped the wrong shocks. They said it was the correct part number ordered and that the shocks pictured was incorrect. They agreed to have me send the order back for a refund which I did eight weeks ago but have not received any response from them even after several emails. I will not be purchasing parts for my BMW e90 from Cascade due to their poor customer service even if they have the the best price.
