I called and ordered a battery about 3 weeks ago, offered to pay while I had her on the phone. She…read morereplied "no, you'll receive a link to pay." No mention of prepay. I immediately received an order confirmation, and a copy of the warranty.... no link for payment... so I had assumed I pay when the battery is ready to ship. Today, I get a text saying they're still waiting for prepayment, I reply I never received a payment link. They haven't even begun the process of getting my battery ready. Three weeks waiting to hear the battery is ready to ship, and they haven't even started it. If the service is this bad at the very beginning, I think I'll go somewhere else before spending $3,000.

Getting in contact with someone is more difficult than it should be. Expect to be on hold for 10-30…read moreminutes if you give them a call. If you choose to leave a message, no one will get back to you. The online chat isn't actually an instant online chat, it looks like it automatically sends them an email but again, don't expect an email back. I was able to get my question answered but the process to get a simple question answered is a trek. I had initially reached out to them in January 2022 about getting sent a new hybrid battery under warranty and they told me they had a delay with the freight shipments which makes sense but I didn't receive the battery until OCTOBER 2022. My car started to crap out a few weeks ago and luckily not months ago where I would've been out of luck. So if you need a battery asap I hope you get one a LOT sooner than I did. I had reached out intermittently throughout the year about the status and NO ONE answered the entire time. The only notification I got was from Fedex letting me know I had a shipment coming at the beginning of October. I even tried finding the email interactions from January '22 and I cannot find them whatsoever which is super odd and it's as if they were retracted because I know I did not delete them... The only good thing is that they were able to pause my warranty while I waited for the battery to come in since my warranty was supposed to end March of 2022. **Update: I received an email letting me know there was a transfer of ownership lately so things fell through the cracks during that time. It's good to know the reasoning behind why no one was answering but I feel like multiple months is way too long for customer service to be down.

This auto parts store impressed the heck out of me! I'd been to O'Reilly's and AutoZone, looking…read morefor a sun shade for my driver's side window. You'd think this would be an easy search, but it was nothing but frustrating. I was pretty much ignored in all the "big name" stores. What I would have given for someone to simply point me in the right direction! I just wanted to buy a simple roller shade. How hard could this be for them? And then I walked into Advance Auto Parts on E. Powell in Gresham - and KNEW I had finally found my place. No sooner did I walk in the door than "Brett" asked if I needed some help. When I mentioned wanting a roller sun shade, he went to the back and personally brought out the one he used for his own car! "These work really well for me," he said. "Want to see if it works for your car, before you buy?" With that, we went outside and tried it on my car. It was perfect. (The price was really reasonable, too!) Now THAT was good customer service! That Brett would take the time to "demonstrate" a product, to make sure it would work for me was a very kind (and darned impressive) thing to do. I hope Advance Auto Parts pays this man well. He just earned them a customer for life. Thank you, Brett! Thank you, Advance Auto Parts!

The staff here have always been able to answer any questions I've had. They're knowledgeable with…read moreparts, car cleaning care, paint, tools, you name it. I had a factory defect on an item I purchased at another Advanced Auto Parts store, and they accepted the return here. Funny thing was the second item I bought (at this store), also had a defect. However, they accepted a return on that one too. The third purchase got it right. The product defect was no fault of theirs by the way! Thanks guys, you're my choice when it comes to my automotive needs !
