Vehicle was completed at 7:24 pm - an hour and 24 minutes over their estimated time.
    Kent H.

Overall: Don't forget to wear your most comfortable clothes and bring your dinner because you're going to be waiting well past the estimated time. If you're thinking their tracking status page is accurate - think again because Koby, one of their managers, said it's broken from time to time. Location: Absolutely great, it's in a plaza with plenty of parking and Gresham Station is right across the street. If you're coming from Division, you might not notice it because it's right behind Burger King. Service: I called in on Monday with intentions to only price shop for my cousin, who didn't speak any English but we had decided to proceed with Discount Tires because they were able to match Costco's price. While they were placing the order for the tires that needed to be brought in, I asked them how long it would take for the installation, and they responded that as long as the vehicle is there before 4 pm, we would be able to pick it up by 6 pm. Around 7 pm that same night, an hour after they closed, I received a call confirming that the tires were there and would be ready for us on Thursday. Fast forward to Thursday, my cousin and I arrived at 3:30 pm to drop off the vehicle. I asked the team member that checked us in how long it would take, and I received the same exact answer. On top of that, he said they would text me a link with a page where I can track the status. I was extremely happy with that because I wouldn't have to call in to see if the vehicle would be done early while we ran our errands. 5:30 pm rolled by and I was a bit concerned because the tracker still showed the vehicle in the "Waiting for service" stage. With 30 minutes left until the estimated time, I decided to call in to be safe, in case the tracker didn't get updated. After a few minutes of the phone ringing with no answer, we decided to make the 30-minute drive over because the vehicle should be pretty close to being done since it was estimated at 6 pm. As we pulled up a few minutes before 6 pm, we noticed the vehicle was in the same exact spot that my cousin parked it. I walked in and spoke with Koby, who apologized and said they would need another hour and a half! I was frustrated because there was absolutely no communication about this. To make matters worse, he told me two things - (1) the tracker doesn't work from time to time and (2) they will get every car done before they close and they didn't leave until 8 pm last night. Essentially saying that their new estimated time of 7:30 pm could turn into at the earliest 8 pm - causing me to potentially wait for almost 5 hours to have the job finished. I understand that they used the word estimate, but having to wait an additional hour at a minimum can no longer be considered an estimate. In my attached screen captures, you can clearly tell that their estimated completion time was 6:00 pm according to the tracker, but the vehicle was still in the "waiting for service" stage at 6:54. The vehicle did not move into the "In the Bay" stage until 6:55 pm. From the screen capture of the text message, you can tell it was completed at 7:24 pm - roughly 4 hours from when we dropped off the vehicle or said another way, an hour and 24 minutes over their estimated time. This could have been completed in half the time that it would take at Costco, having bought tires there numerous times. Regardless of any industry, communication is key and obviously something they do not have at all. It would have been completely fine waiting that additional time, within reason, only if they had said something. It is pointless to have a tracker if they do not have a fail-safe for notifying the consumer that they need more time. This could easily be an additional to help the user experience with little to no personnel involvement.

Upgraded tires due to losing 2 tires we ordered
    Edwin O.

TLDR: Lost 2 tires and a lug nut, upgraded our tires and replaced lug nut at no cost. Only bother was waiting over 2 hours due to these issues. At best i can justify a 3 star rating based on my experience at this location. I had ordered and scheduled a 4 tire change with the balance etc. I originally had my appointment for Saturday but changed it to Monday and I received a call on Saturday that my tires had arrived and if I can come in but I told the worker I had changed it through their website for Monday, they said no problem. Come Monday for the appointment and we were checked in a little late due to being busy, I understand. About halfway through the tire change they stop after 2 wheels have tires and then the workers started working on a car that came in after me. After asking whats going on with our car the manager/lobby worker asks the other workers in the shop and they can't find 2 of the tires we had bought and they offered us a different brand of tire around the same price to what we paid, I refused and the manager said he will go look for the tires. After not finding the tires the manager offered to upgrade us for no cost extra to a better/newer model of tire from the brand we had purchased, which we agreed to. After waiting for the workers to start working again everything goes smoothly until the last install of the wheel onto the car and a lug nut was lost. After maybe 10 minutes of searching between a manager and a few workers they just grabbed a new one to replace the lost one at no extra cost. Im not mad per say because they made things right but we got out around 3pm and the appointment check in was 12:45. I can just say average service at best with employees who will lose things. The only real nuisance is the amount of time you will spend here.

Ok...had a screw in my left rear tire ( why is it always that tire) and the dashboard light went on so I brought her in for a fix. We had bought new tires from them so free flat repair is included in their package. Came in, sat down, and I was done in less time than I thought it would be. Just didn't get a warm fuzzy with the "plug" fix.

They damaged my vehicle--and then tried to brush it off like nothing happened. I brought in my Impreza hatchback for an alignment. The service tech was friendly, and I explained that my main concern was a violent vibration in the brake pedal whenever I braked at highway speeds. Other shops had tossed around different causes--warped rotors, bad alignment, unbalanced tires. Since I already had a lifetime alignment package with Firestone, I figured I'd start there. When the car was ready to be taken off the lift, the same tech carefully backed it out while the store manager, Jose, and another employee watched. As the rear tires reached the ramp, I heard a crunch and instantly felt something was wrong. It looked like the car had bottomed out. They tried several times to place blocks under the rear tires for support, but when the car finally hit the ground, it was obvious something had been damaged--a plastic panel was now hanging from the bottom of the car between the front and rear doors on the driver's side. Jose tried to downplay the situation, saying the piece wasn't important and, word for word, "nothing that we damaged, it's just the way it is because your car is very low." Regardless of the car's ground clearance, it was clear he didn't want to take accountability for his team's mistake. To his credit, Jose eventually did order a replacement piece, but it took some convincing--and throughout the conversation, he spoke to me as if I didn't know what I was talking about. I'm not a mechanic, sure, but I do know that if you see a vehicle starting to bottom out, you stop it before it causes damage. What's the point of watching if you're not going to intervene? Another employee even tried to blame the damage on my aftermarket wheels, claiming that's why the car sat lower. But just moments before, he had asked Jose if Imprezas come this low from the factory. Let's be real--whether the car sits low or not, precautions should've been in place. Someone should have been actually spotting to make sure this exact thing didn't happen. Then, to make matters worse, I received the emailed invoice afterward and noticed two serious red flags: my signature had been forged--literally just a curved line--and the mileage was completely wrong. They had entered a number nearly double my actual odometer reading which I believe gets reported to CarFax making it harder for me when/if I decide to sell the car for incorrect odometer reading. If that doesn't speak to the ethical standards at this location, I'm not sure what does. In the end, the team at this location made excuses instead of taking full responsibility. I've had alignments done at the Happy Valley Firestone with zero issues. This experience was a complete letdown.

As soon as I parked I wasn't even a customer going in the shop, I parked near the garage and a friendly tech walked over to me and asked if I needed help, this is NOT normal. You go to a shop and the techs almost ALWAYS avoid eye contact with anyone. I mentioned my tpms light kept going on and he adjusted the air pressure. It was all good and then a few days later, the SAME THING happened again. So, I decided maybe I'll go to another shop. The tech at the other shop looked at my tire and said nope it looks fine I don't know what could be wrong and why it keeps going flat. So I just ordered new wheels and new tires and waited for them to come in because of course winter is coming and I don't want to be stranded. Before my wheels arrived I made another stop to Midas and the same tech greeted me and helped me and said, air already? I said yeah the guys at the other shop couldn't figure out what's wrong. So I mentioned there wasn't any nails or anything. So he took the time to take the wheel off.. I'm not even a customer. Just someone asking for help. He realized the valve needle(?) in my tire wasn't locked in all the way so the air wasn't staying in. He adjusted it and told me to come back if any other issues arise. I didn't go back after he fixed that and I thanked them and promised to go to their shop when my service is due. So months go by it's the end of December. I decide to do an early oil change to get ahead and see if there's anything else that needs to be done to my car, I went back to Midas as promised and the same tech was there! He loved my car and said wow you have a clean tlx! He mentioned he got an Acura recently as well. We both agreed they are beautiful and he told me something's about my car and as I waited for my oil change I chatted up with the manager and he was very kind as well. They gave me a list of things that need to be done to my car and I mentioned I got some spare parts and he mentioned if they fit my car they can use it in place of ordering to get the work done on my car. While it is pricey to get car repairs, if I could afford to have them do it all at once, honestly I would. These guys are genuinely kind. As I drove off I had noticed my car was making weird noises, they did a tire rotation for me. I called them and they invited me back and lifted my car up again and showed me that the shop that installed my wheels and tires put the wheel weights in a very awkward spot making it rub against my brake caliper. So no problem, the tech switch the wheels back and told me to demand I get that fixed because as much as he would be able to do it. He wants to be sure that I go back to the shop I went to so that the manager can see what went wrong to prevent the next customer at the other shop from having a hard time. Nice right? Anyways, these guys have my loyalty.
