Do not go there for your Lifesafer ignition interlock! They reported to the DOL that I didn't get it calibrated (when I did), and I almost lost my license. Took many weeks, and hours of phone calls to the company and the DOL to fix. The charges were always different. They really have no idea what they're doing with it. Have no idea how to troubleshoot problems. I went to someone for 3 years straight with no issues, and had nothing but headaches for the 6 months I went to them. No. First he used the wrong antifreeze in my jeep. And second. Took it in for an antifreeze leak. He did head gaskets/water pump and thermostat that he claimed all needed to be replaced. And I'm constantly still adding antifreeze. Went to shop had the guard plate thing removed from under engine to look around and it was spotted with antifreeze. Its still leaking..2k bucks for what? He didn't fix the leak. When a customer tells you to only use a certain antifreeze in their vehicle. That's what they mean to use. I also took it to jeep dealer and he said flat out we don't use green anything in our vehicles. It should be a gold color. When I tried to point it out. The owner wanted to argue with me. Telling me he used what was recommended. No he didn't and that's straight out of the Jeep dealers mouth. And when I dropped it off, I told the lady at the desk exactly what antifreeze needed to be used and offered to buy it if they didn't have it. If you're a single mom and its your only vehicle. Fair, honest, and affordable mechanics do exist! I first came across Rob while trying to pass the DEQ for my newly acquired 1986 Toyota motorhome, as he was just a block or so away from the testing station. He gave it a look, messed with a couple things, came back, tinkered with it again, and it sailed right through the test. The cost for this? NOTHING. He simply asked that I consider him for future service. And that I did. I came back despite him being a ways away from me. I had a laundry list of things that needed done and he was able to take care of it all in a timely manner without any gripes, even despite my error not giving him all the proper parts for a particular install. And the cost was again significantly less than I was expecting. All the while, I felt very comfortable with him and his decades of experience working on Toyotas. Although they may be able to do your repair work they are unprofessional in their conduct and treatment of their clientele. I have brought three different vehicles to his shop for repair... The owners' opinion is; regardless of the car, your car is always the worst car to have to work on, the problem is always the worst problem you would want to find on that car, the parts are always the hardest ones for him to find and your part is always the most expensive part to order. The owner is condescending insofar as he assumes his clients are ignorant and treats them as such. I will seek reputable workmanship elsewhere and I advise that you do the same. :O( XXX read more

They are very competitively priced on all services offered; but more importantly, They will only use quality products. They don't skimp. They stand by their work & name, so it must meet their standards and gives you a complete sense of security knowing the work will last. 2020 update on the shop, I recently took my vehicle there to get an a part switched out and rob took it upon himself to decide what kinda of part should go into MY CAR, besides that even though I'm paying for parts and labor, when I got home I looked under my hood and noticed something that nearly broke the vehicle, apparently rob didn't pinpoint my car himself and one of his dumb ass employees disconnected my radiator hose, if I never decided to pop my hood it would leaked coolant for how ever long and could have cause multiple problems.Why would I need to pop my hood? Didn't I just get a mechanic job done from a fucking professional, I'm sorry but old people really needa understand u can't just push around the younger generation. I went to Rob's after being recommended by the person I bought my car from. Called and Rob was extremely pleasant and asked me to bring it in for him to see what was wrong. I took my son with me (he just happens to be African American) and when I went in the receptionist was extremely rude and unpleasant to me. I went where my vehicle was and was told to go back to front in a rude way by the receptionist. I couldn't help but glare at her and she quickly said "OSHA". When Rob drove my car back to the front, I approached him to express how disappointed I was with his receptionist behavior. He put his hand up to silence me and walked into the office. She walked out with the report and asked if I wanted to make an appointment... Let me say, I watched her talk pleasantly with other people and couldn't help but feel that her behavior was racially motivated as i had been extremely kind (with the exception of the glare). I brought my civic to Rob after having some issues with it. Rob looked at, couldn't find anything wrong. He worked on it for two days attempting to determine my problem, as the diagnostics read didn't come up with anything. After two days he called me and told me nothing was showing up, he worked on it and couldn't find anything wrong. I asked him how much for his troubles and said, you don't owe anything. I took my vehicle to this shop to have an interlock installed. The owner Rob started my car drive it into the back, and proceeded to lie to me and tell me my car would not start. I insisted that the car was fine had started that morning and again for his technician when they drove it into the back. He then proceeded to tell me they were going to run a diagnosis and fix the problem before installing the interlock. I again insisted that there was nothing wrong with the starting engagement nor the battery as it is brand new. Rob lied to my face and wanted to charge me to fix a problem that was nonexistent in my vehicle. After I had called him out on his blatant lie numerous times he decided to not install the interlock and asked me to leave, at which time his technician brought my vehicle back out front and I demonstrated that it started multiple times. Despite what other reviewers are saying about this place, I would highly recommend Rob's service. Summer of 2014 we had a new alternator installed in our car at Rob's, and it worked fantastically. Fast forward to last week. The starter in our car dies, we have it towed to Midas. They put in a new starter, but damage the electrical in the process and afterward try to get us to buy a new alrernator. We don't, and the battery dies in the driveway after we drive the car home. We call up Rob, he offers to tow the car in for free and replace the alternator for free (at the time we assumed that was the problem), as it is still under warranty. No arguments, no back and forth, very straightforward. There he discovers what Midas messed up and fixes it for a reasonable price, but still replaces the alternator for free just to cover all the bases. He even takes pictures to document what was damaged and sends them to us (we will be confronting Midas about the issue soon). Could not have asked for more stellar service. We will be returning to him for any other car repair needs. read more

This is my 3rd and last experience with Rob. Mercedes E320 2001 was stalling on me then running. took in Mon AM..not even looked at till Weds AM when was told would be done Tues. Google said i needed a crankshaft sensor and I told that to Rob who scoffed said he would see. Every time I've had service customer service is lacking I have to call on my car repeatedly, took an extra day last visit cause they got wrong oil for an oil change is 3 days. This visit I called Weds before closed to be told my car had nothing wrong but brakes done wrong. That an old code was showing up...what I had said it was.. and all was good for 60.00 to look at brakes. Well I called them after car died a mile from shop. I have now had no car 3 days and still doing what it was. Rob offered at first to get the crankshaft sensor for 300.00 part I asked for Mon and fix but when I pointed out I was right to start with he got offended I was 'telling him his job' and said he wouldn't see my car again. WOW. Left me stranded. Now needing to find someone to fix what I asked to start, get to work now had time off for this and my car is still on the side of the road a mile from house. Be forewarned this business does not know how to give timely estimates, fulfill their commitments and or do what is needed. read more
