My battery wasn't charging, even after a friend replaced the alternator and voltage regulator. Matt…read moreAnderson installed a rebuilt alternator for me, for a very reasonable price, getting my truck back on the road the same day.

This was one of the most frustrating experiences I've ever had with a repair shop. I was already…read morestressed about the cost of the repair, but the way I was treated throughout the process made it even worse. I brought my car in on 4/20 for a transmission repair after being told the job would take about one week. At the time, there were no warning lights on the dashboard and no known issues other than the transmission. I also paid more than half of the quoted cost upfront. After a week passed, I had to reach out myself for an update. It took about a week and a half to get a response, and I was told the repair would be delayed due to an illness. I completely understood and was willing to be patient because things happen. On 5/1, I contacted them again to see if my car was ready for pickup and received no response until 5/8. By this point, I had already been given four different completion dates, all of which came and went. I simply asked for an accurate timeline because I was becoming frustrated with the lack of communication. Instead of receiving an update, I got an email from the owner's wife that I found extremely rude and unprofessional. I was told they could no longer do the repair and was accused of rushing them, which was completely untrue considering how long I had already waited beyond the original timeline. As a result, I had to pay to have my vehicle towed to their shop and then pay again to have it towed elsewhere so another shop could complete the repair. Throughout this experience, I was hung up on, repeatedly misled about completion dates, and left without clear communication. To make matters worse, when I finally got my car back on 5/15, multiple warning lights were illuminated on the dashboard that had not been there before. When I called to ask about it, I was told they hadn't touched anything that could have caused it. However, I had photos taken before the vehicle was towed to their shop showing that there were no dashboard warning lights at that time. Overall, this experience was disappointing, stressful, and costly. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this shop

On my transmission pan. Initially I asked for a flush, but when I mentioned I have 210k miles Steve started acting like I should throw it away, and the work wouldn't be worth it. I couldn't even convince him to drain and fill my fluid. I was recommended to this business by their neighbor John, and Steve put a clutch in for me on another vehicle. That car was a 2007 jeep compass manual that nobody else would touch. Clutch failed less than a year later and I placed no blame on the business who installed the part. These things happen. Will not be returning to him in the future.

I had "lost" reverse and first on my 2010 Nissan Sentra 6-speed. I was able to roll into first, but reverse had no grab whatsoever. Steve was considerate regarding my time constraints, and fortunately, discovered the linkage had been crammed with a prickly cone (neighborhood squirrels or chipmunks the culprit). I was within 1.5 mile radius, so was provided a ride home and back. I got the car back later that afternoon. And the cost did not break the bank. Very good customer service, resulting in one very happy camper!

He told me that was normal after a new repair and that he would not let me use the warranty -- 14,000 miles later, the transmission is totally burned out and two mechanics as well as an insurance adjuster have stated that it is due to a faulty transmission installation (missing, faulty, and improperly installed parts) I'm now out of warranty with him and he will do nothing -- He even dared me to call a Lawyer -- hmmm... I will. One thing is for sure, myself and anyone I know will never do business there again.

I called several transmission shops and I was quoted anywhere from 2800 to 4800 to rebuild the transmission. I was able to find a used transmission from a local wrecking yard with warranty for a much lower price. When I called around I was able to find a shop to put the transmission in for 1200. Everything was all of a sudden looking a lot more reasonable so I called AAA and asked them to deliver the car to my local shop. When the tow truck arrived to load the car he asked me where I was taking the car and then asked how much I was going to be charged. He explained to me that he knew of a shop that would be able to do the work at a much cheaper price, he called the shop for me and got a much better quote, after talked to the shop myself I decided to give vvanvo a shot. After this I was feeling nervous, I had called around and made what I felt was the best educated decision that I could and then at the last second I decided to take a gamble on this tow truck drivers "guy". When I brought the used transmission to the shop I didn't know what to expect, the owner was on site and seemed like a very nice guy, he was very personable and put my mind at ease right away. After talking with him for a few minutes I was a lot more confident that I had made the right decision in bringing my car here. After dropping off the transmission I thought that I would be given the typical mechanic experience, you know... He tells you it will be a week and it turns into three weeks type of thing. Now I dropped off the transmission right before the shop closed..... He calls me at 130 the next day to let me know that it was done. When I showed up to pick up the car the owner was again very nice and assured me that the transmission was good, thoroughly explained everything that he had done to the car and what to expect in the future. He made no attempt at any kind of an up sell and he gave me good advice on how to make my transmission last for a long time. Honestly this experience makes me wish that I had another car with a bad transmission, it is refreshing to deal with a shop that genuinely does care about customer experience and a shop owner that is very happy to deliver for his customers.
