I feel certain I was treated poorly. I have taken my 1992…read moreF150 to this shop several times as had the previous owner. They performed simple service work just fine. Recently the F150 started running rough and it was blowing a lot of gray smoke. It was bad enough I had it towed to the shop. They spent the next day trying to diagnose the problem. Bill told me over the phone that they couldn't get any error codes or anything else from the onboard computer (ECM). After a day of fooling around I was told it couldn't be fixed and I should sell it or give it away. I almost did give it away! Then, I took a quick look on the internet. Sure enough it was a faulty ECM that would need to be replaced. So 20 minutes on the internet and I found the problem that Bill spent a day on and I spent $385 to not solve! Bill, if the ECM as failed, you stop right there! Not $385 later!
