Greg's Grill is a true hidden gem! Ok a recent trip to the LBL area, we wanted to grab lunch somewhere local. A quick search revealed that Greg's Grill was nearby and highly rated, so we made our way there just in time for lunch. As we waited to order, the man in front of us said "The pineapple milkshake is great! If you like milkshakes, you have to get the one here." Sold to the Yelper in line! When my turn came, I ordered a bacon burger, baked beans, and a pineapple milkshake. My husband went with a bacon cheeseburger, fries, and a Pepsi. We had to wait about 10 minutes, but that told me the food was being made fresh. Once it was on our table, we dug right in. What a delicious burger! Flavorful, juicy, and just the right size for lunch. We both enjoyed our orders. The pineapple milkshake was fresh and had great flavor - just be sure to grab a spoon for the large pieces of pineapple in it that done fit through the straw. It was a hot day and the flies swarmed around our delicious smelling food outside, so we ate quickly before heading on our way. Yesterday we went back to try Greg's brisket sandwiches, awesome. Worth the trip, the covered picnic tables only make the dining experience that much better. I picked up 2 BBQ chickens for Sunday dinner and they were excellent. Very moist and the sauce was a well balanced six of sweet and tangy! My only complaint is that they were smaller than I thought they would be but we had plenty for our family. I got 2 pork sandwiches and the meat was piled high and also moist not dry like some BBQ. The bottom of my bun was a little greasy but still a very good sandwich. It was a busy day for them and they had some big family orders so service was a little slow but they have plenty of picnic table for you to relax and wait. We stopped in for a late lunch on a rainy spring day. The service was fast and friendly. We decided to try a variety of items - pineapple shake (yum!), chicken plate with onion rings and coleslaw, and brisket plate with potato salad and fries. The chicken and brisket were fall apart tender, and neither was dried out. Lots of smoky flavor. My son loved his cheeseburger too! The coleslaw was creamy and slightly sweet, the potato salad had mustard and hard boiled eggs, and the onion rings were beer battered! The only slightly disappointing item were the fries which were a bit soggy. We'll definitely be back if we're in the area! I've purchased from them several times as it is at a convenient location in Canton just off the highway. Every time, they have gotten my orders wrong. I get hamburgers and a side order. The burger is thin and nothing flavorful about it. The condiments are on the side in packets rather than add them on the burger. I'm always disappointed. They are slow at getting my order out also. I've given up trying to get a decent meal and don't order anymore. read more

Delicious barbecue. My family found something they loved from the menu. The barbecue has so much flavor but is not to spicy. We loved the clean and new picnic tables outside. The owners are brilliant to build this clean and fresh restaurant with outdoor dining right now during this time. I would recommend this to anyone that takes barbecue seriously! We were headed home to Aurora from Cadiz and decided to stop but and check this little burger place out. We really thought the menu had great options (BBQ nachos, ribs, burgers, corn dogs). The prices are very reasonable. There is outdoor dining only. Either at a covered picnic table or in your vehicle. But the burger was really good. Definitely will recommend and stop again. read more

Went here on a tip from a local. Nice basic menu including BBQ, burgers, and chicken sandwiches. I ordered brisket which I was worried about until I saw the smokehouse on back. It was excellent. The others with me had a chicken sandwich and double cheeseburger which they both loved. Please support this local business Cadiz as to many others have failed. Took a drive to Energy Lake this afternoon. I was already hungry when we started the hour long drive, so I was glad we found this place right up the road. Didn't expect much until I saw the menu. Plenty of choices to satisfy anyones hunger pangs. I ordered the rib plate with baked beans, onion rings and cornbread. The ribs were very meaty and tender. They just fell off the bone. A true test of worthiness! My beans were good and hot. Full of flavor. My husband ordered a pulled pork plate with potato salad and onion rings. Everything was delicious. Nice size portions as well. Went on a Thursday night about 30 minutes before closing. My wife and I had the brisket sandwich and my daughter has the chicken wings. As BBQ goes I would say it's very average. I've enjoyed really good BBQ in my home town of St. Louis and elsewhere. This was not great BBQ. Not a great smoked flavor and very little sauce. The wings were better but again little sauce and not much seasoning. The fries were ok, but how do you wreak fries? Milk shakes average as well. I would really give 2.5 stars but 2 would not be a fair review. read more
