Today's stop was an early lunch. Well, lunch for my with a cheeseburger and mac & cheese and fries. Breakfast for Mrs. K. with French Toast. Great service, delicious food, what more can I say? We do usually spent our nights in the Cracker Barrel parking lot as they tolerate the RV life by allowing us to park overnight. As always, the pancakes, biscuits and fried apples are great. My husband had over easy eggs with hash browns topped with onions and tomatoes, and sausage. We always like to put maple syrup on sausage. The service was really great, and the restaurant is always fun, especially with the eclectic artwork everywhere. And don't forget to look at the clearance items in the back of the store. Sometimes there are really unique things back there. And, of course, get some retro candy! read more

Pros good location, usual great finds Dirty doors and bathrooms. You have plenty of employees to have one cleaning restrooms throughout the day and the ladies in the store can clean and wipe all the doors and handles. It's the first look that makes one wonder how dirty or clean a place truly is. read more

Waited 30 minutes for a table. Waited 10 or 15 minutes for a server. We ordered drinks. Waited at least 30 more minutes at the table. Still no drinks, still no one coming around to take our order. We just left. And this was on a Tuesday afternoon. read more

Good food and service, here for Friday lunch stopping on the way to North Carolina. Never been here before and never been followed through the retail section like a shoplifter. Bought a large sack 'o candy and two dresses for the granddaughters. Does this sound like the m.o. of a shoplifter? I had a heavy set female employee walk around behind me, come up to almost peer into my purse at the checkout, position herself between me and the door. My husband had already paid for the meal and was headed out to check on the dog in the Car. Focus more on customer service, not negative profiling because I have a tattoo and am a person of color. One of the better Cracker Barrel's I've been too... As far as this franchise is concerned, this is one of their better representatives. The store is clean, the staff is friendly, and the food was cooked fresh, fast, and hot. On this particular time we were there for breakfast. The stack of blueberry pancakes was simply huge, and their farm fresh breakfast was light and filling, all-in-one. Service was spot on as our waitress kept my coffee, literally, bottomless, as well as my wife's tea. No complaints there. I really appreciated the suggestion of having my blueberry muffin grilled - a nice experience and one I would highly recommend. read more

Food - okay if your favorite seasoning is salt, and Luke warm to cold is how you like your fish or steak. Total disappointment. Service was good, not great. Ambiance was typical Cracker Barrel. Normally, Cracker Barrel has good fish and I love the turnip greens. Not here. Could not eat either due to the salt. Recommend going to the Wendy's next door. My husband and I are Cracker Barrel regulars when we travel cross country. We always stop at CBs. The restaurants are "usually" dependable. It isn't the greatest cuisine, but you know what to expect. And recently, some of the locations have finally added WIFI, a plus. However, this restaurant in Cadiz was just the worse Cracker Barrel we have ever been to. We got seated and waited around 10 minutes for a waitress to ask what we wanted to drink. We knew what we wanted to eat and wanted to get back on the road, so we started telling her. She stopped us and told us she couldn't take our order because she had to get another table's order first. OK. She had a little bit of an attitude. So, we waited and waited. Finally, after another 10 minutes she came back. We put in our order. We waited and waited. Another 40 minutes went by. I got up and went to get the manager. The manager told me that their computer system had gone down and they had had to reboot it. OK. And, you couldn't tell people that this had happened so they could make a choice to go elsewhere? We were driving 10 hours that day and didn't plan on spending 1:30 of it at CB. Another waitress came to our table and refilled my husband's iced tea, but never asked me if I needed more hot water for my hot tea. We waited and waited another 15-20 minutes. Our food finally came. My order wasn't even hot anymore when I got it. No one else ever came to our table to see if we were OK, or if the food was OK, or anything. So, to finish it all, we paid via our phone and left, leaving no tip. After that, we went to St. Louis, Missouri and back and never stopped in a CB again. I know that things happen, but, you can't possibly run a restaurant that badly. If this happened to us, it had to happen to others as well. It is a sure way to lose customers. read more

After spending what felt like forever saying excuse me every 30 seconds while we made the forced march around theme-based tables piled high with the same old crap these places have been cramming into their "store" section for the past 20 years, we were finally being escorted to our table when what to my wondering eyes should appear but 9 (yes, NINE!) clean, set 4-tops suitable for our party of 3 while we had been waiting for 45 minutes. There were also at least six clean two-tops while elderly customers huddled amongst the nic-nax waiting to hear their names. When I had the nerve to complain (along with others), Rachel (the child in charge) had the nerve to raise her voice to me and tell me to step aside so we didn't spoil the other patrons "experience". Really? Well pardon me. After we were seated the store manager Daniel came to speak with us, apologized and assured us that our food would come out quickly...which it did. Sorry Daniel I still gotta give you a 1 because coming out to promise what your team should be doing anyway really wasn't all that much. I'm not a freebie-hunting kinda gal by nature but this was one of those times when it would have been nice to have been offered a free dessert, free drinks, or perhaps a no-charge for my 85 year old mother in law's meal...(seeing how she stood for 45 minutes without complaint). Sigh...we knew better to stop but we knew we wouldn't make another 40 miles so we did it anyway so that's on us. But even with the rep they have for long waits this one is the worst ever. I'm trying to think of what was positive about this experience. The grilled catfish fillets were pretty good and the broccoli and meatloaf were OK at best. The ice tea was not good and extremely dark. The cornbread was terrible - dry, cool, with no taste. The coleslaw is not good. Our server was so unfriendly and curt. Not sure why. Halfway through the meal she almost slammed down two additional ice teas, saying "here". Biggest problem was we didn't even ask for any additional tea, as our original glasses were mostly full because we didn't care for it. We didn't mention to anyone that we didn't like the tea. I'm pretty sure the tea was meant for another table and she was irritated to put it on ours for some reason. She was young and I hope that her manager trains her to be friendly to her customers and make them feel wanted vs as if we were bothering her to eat lunch. Anyway we were happy to leave. read more

Excellent food as always, and even better customer service. Everything was very clean. Even with coronavirus limiting things, they still do their best to make everything perfect. Had my Thanksgiving dinner with Cracker Barrel this year met three wonderful young people working in the middle of the parking lot in the cold on Thanksgiving Day Grant Harley and Celeste they were very friendly more than happy to do their job and very courteous Cracker Barrel should be proud that they have such employees working for them like this I really enjoyed talking to them it made my holiday better I think these young people deserve a bonus or raise of some sort Happy Thanksgiving Grant Celeste and Harley I'm sure your parents are very proud of each and every one of you. Wouldn't recommend this place if you have a party over 3-4 people. Long wait times and if they know the people they will have them cut the waiting list. Drove 40 minutes here and waited a hour when was told it would be a 30 minute wait. Only for a party to come in and wait 15 minutes to cut our waiting list. Was told they were extremely sorry and would have to wait another 35 minutes. Would give a 0 star if I could. read more

Went on 3/15/15 for a late lunch and will not return. The customer service was terrible from the hostess to the server. The hostess didn't smile or ask about about our day- no attempt to create a friendly/welcoming environment. Whitney rolled her eyes at me when I asked for more diet Coke and again when I asked for a new order of pancakes as I had asked a few questions before deciding on them and she mislead me. I placed the order based on what she told me so you would have thought she would have noticed right away they they weren't what she said and that she would have been quick to get it corrected and apologetic- nope. I ordered 2 poached eggs and she put them though as 'well' huh? She didn't ask how I wanted them- if I wanted hard boiled eggs, I would have ordered hard boiled eggs... I asked for more napkins and you could probably guess that I never received them. I've worked in customer service for 20 years including a few restaurants. I have never and would never treat a customer the way she treated me. Based on this poor experience, I will not return and will tell everyone about this experience. The silverware was dirty, the gift store was well stocked, the fact that the address is Hospitality Lane makes me lol. read more

Went there last night around 8pm. Not busy at all, no wait of course. NO tables were being biased. Tables full of trash all around us, silverware and bread ages were super dirty also. I was given a hot freshly washed glass for my ice cold Rootbeer... Makes sense right ? Food was fine , came out pretty quickly . Our waitress wasn't very attentive either. Had to ask for napkins twice , even though I have 2 young children. That should have been a given. Had to ask for every refill. getting the check she never came back again. We stopped here last Saturday for lunch on a road trip from North Carolina. My sister and her family was traveling in a separate vehicle and were about 5 to 10 miles behind us when we arrived around 1:30. We asked the hostess for a table for 7 so our family could be seated. She asked, "Is the ENTIRE party here?" When I said no, she replied rather curtly, "We will NOT seat you until your ENTIRE party are all here." Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the rational behind this policy and I fully support it. However she seemed to go out of her way to lay down the law and was needlessly impolite about it. Also, the restaurant was only about 60% occupied at the time so there was no chance we would tie-up a table at the expense of another guest. Would you treat a guest in your home that way, lady? If so I don't want to hang at your house. Moving on, our waitress was efficient and attentive, she gets 5 stars. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals and we were back on the road in a reasonable amount of time. I'm not necessarily a Cracker Barrel fan, but with decent food at a good value, I could be persuaded to come more often. I just hope they move the hostess Nazi into a nice position in the kitchen where she can be as over zealous as she wants. read more

My fiancé ordered scrambled, completely cooked eggs being that she is on immunosuppressants and can not consume undercooked food. Once our food was finally brought out I initially realized that my order was wrong. And to top it all off, her scrambled eggs were still clucking (the white was dripping raw egg!). Talked to the manager and after emphasizing the issue she asked that we allow them to get them right, but we were not interested. I asked for the check for our drinks and we left.
