The food is soooo amazing! We had the catfish and mixed greens with hush puppies and slaw with macaroni and cheese! So Good the cake I had too, better than sex cake . A small restaurant that is a slice of heaven. As the owner says, "we cook with love". I believe it. The food was incredibly good and the prices more than reasonable. You can't leave until you try one of her cakes baked daily that simply melts in your mouth. Expect it to be busy during lunch and after church on Sunday. What can I say, people come from miles around to eat here, and I see why. They are in the process of purchasing the building and expect them to close for a week to complete some minor renovations. Hands down one of the very best of the best. Nearly impossible to eat here without licking the plate! A hard working couple providing fantastic food at great prices. We had an amazing breakfast here. They were exceptionally busy due to a ball tournament across the street and we did have to wait a bit for our food but our server told us this from the start. Everyone was pleased with their food, service, very generous servings, and our server was excellent. The only odd thing was that the water had a very chemically taste but our server was happy to bring us other beverages. We will definitely come back next time we are in the area. read more

I have always loved Jo Jo's, good, home style food, very attentive and sweet waitresses, and very reasonably priced meals! However, they don't wear masks, and there is absolutely no social distancing.. we felt very uncomfortable.. and won't be going back until things improve. Packed like sardines. We stopped for breakfast while traveling through. Typical diner breakfast; biscuits weren't served with the meal since they were still in the oven. We're here from Chicago, and 3 of us went here to try out the "best Ruben" and it didn't disappoint! All 3 of us had a Ruben with the homemade chips that come with it, plus a fried pickles app. Everything was phenomenal! Delicious Southern food all around, and so many more things on the menu I want to try like Chicken and Dumplings, or that Rib Eye which they said is more like a Philly Cheese Steak. The owner came by our table and was so friendly and really takes pride in the quality food at his restaurant. The waitress was also extremely nice and attentive! Will definitely be back! read more

We had breakfast here this morning, and everything was delicious. The pancakes really are huge, and were so good I brought them home and will finish them tomorrow. In town on vacation, my daughter and I decided to have breakfast together. While a completely random choice, the outcome was spectacular. We spent 30 minutes conversing with the owner while enjoying eggs, bacon an omelette and, of course, sausage gravy. The surprise was that a side of sweet French toast was prepared and given to us to entice a specialty we would have missed out on. Wow and wonderful. They serve a very delicious breakfast and lunch. We have ate here many tines. It's one of our favorite places in town.

I like the deco and friendliness of this place. It was a little chilly inside. Ordered a western omelet and biscuits and gravy. Got an omelet full of bacon and sausage with a few pieces of veggies. I was expecting it the other way around , full of veggies and maybe a few pieces of ham. I suppose this is good for the meat lover. Received toast instead of biscuits and gravy but the waitress quickly corrected that problem. Temperature of food was great! Prices were reasonable. Bathroom could use some deep cleaning. read more

Food isn't bad just not nearly good enough to justify their prices ($20 for couple chili dogs & fies?!) & given they close at 2pm I don't know how they stay in business the breakfast crowd must be massive. Place is clean & cozy. Drinks are absolutely atrocious, tea is more water than tea, water is chlorinated tap, lemonade is waaaaay too potent, & sodas are flat. Serve basically the same stuff as every other restaurant in town just not nearly as well & at twice the price. read more
