The restaurant is very upscale looking from the outside. The decor inside was also really trendy with the selfie back drop and black and white background. It's really trendy for a restaurant located in Benton, Ky. I ordered take out over the phone. The person taking my order had a very strong accent that was hard to understand. She did not know anything about the menu or what was gluten free. It was super frustrating. I ordered for 3 people. When I came to pick up the order the food was not ready. I ordered at 1pm for a 4:30 pm pickup. The food was way overpriced. We got a side order of an asparagus and it was 3 pieces $6. We also got a baked potato , sweet potato, green beans and a large pizza. It was over $50. I'm giving the place 2 stars because my friends that ordered the pizza said it was delicious. Had a solid dinner at Popi's tonight. Sat at the bar and had great service. Had a couple glasses of wine and the Wisconsin flatbread app. Also got the club sandwich which was fantastic. Amazing food. Our waitress Hadlie was very nice and professional. The ambiance was an unexpected cool vibe, even romantic for date night with an upscale menu and lovely modern decor. They have a separate bar area which was spacious We loved our meals. Fettuccine Alfredo was out of this world good! I had the wedge salad with grilled shrimp and it was very fresh and crisp. My brother had the meatball cupcake which he loved and served with mashed potatoes and green beans. This restaurant is close to the KY dam village state park. Worth the drive. $7 a piece for domestic bottled beer. what we were not aware of UNTIL the bill showed up was that for our salad we were charged $2 for extra dressing. I'm not talking about a gallon of dressing I'm talking about a half of an ounce of dressing that comes with every single salad. When we asked about the $2 charge the server smiled and shrugged her shoulders. Well $2 might not be much it's the principle of it. First off- our waitress was amazing!!! She said it was her first night, but you couldn't tell. Even if the food was bad (which it WASN'T) having her as our waitress would've made it tolerable. Out for a quiet dinner at Popi's and not disappointed as usual here. The staff and servants very were very good. I had the Papa Pete's pizza (aka Meat Lovers) ordered the crust crispy and it was perfect and delicious. The crust super thin and crispy can't go wrong. I had a nice glass of Cabernet with my meal. Skip the salad and move on to dessert. Although the Greek Salad is good, I can't say it is exceptional. Not available in a small side salad. Citrus Chicken needed a sign on the plate to remind the diner there was supposed to be citrus flavor of some sort. Asparagus was have inedible as it was the thick stalks. As for the specialty Popi's Chicken, I had returned here just for it! After a couple times ordering it, this visit I was disappointed. There was no Demi glacé which was the star in previous experiences. The mushrooms were closer to cold than warm. Asparagus was the same. The server tried to fix it. Unfortunately the repeat performance was exactly that. The same drab cold veg and dry chicken. Perhaps go with the pizza or burgers. The atmosphere and the restaurant decor are nicely done. I would say the best part of this establishment is the exterior of the building. It is a very nice looking restaurant. We ordered salmon, chicken strips, steak, the club and shrimp. The best thing on the table was the kids' cheese pizza. It's overpriced old people food. read more

We ate at this spot several years ago when it was under another name but we decided to give it a try. A little on the upper end on price but not too bad. The food was out of this world. Tasted like it came straight from the chef. I was skeptical about ordering meatloaf in a restaurant so I asked what it was made of and decided to go for it. It did not disappoint. The side of green beans were seasoned perfectly with pearl onions and other seasons and the creamed potatoes perfect also. It's all overpriced and bland. The service is equally bad. The owner is even worse. Paducah has much better options.

My wife and I arrived closer to closing time than we are usually comfortable with, but the staff adamantly encouraged us to stay. We tend to travel a lot and have eaten at a lot of decent restaurants. This place is not what you would expect in a smaller town. The service was excellent, with an upscale casual menu. A minor snag on getting my wife her wine, but this was in the middle of an end of shift rush. Add in a modern decor with an excellent menu as well as our server Ethan being on top of everything and we couldn't have asked for more. If you are anywhere close it is worth a little bit of a drive out of your way. This place has extremely affordable upscale dishes, modern ambiance, and small town friendliness. First visit since the remodel and change to popi's from majestic. Used to frequent majestic for their buffet and steaks. Prices used to be reasonable but not now. Was shocked to see 32.00 for a 14oz ribeye steak! Not to mention the prices for chicken etc. Decided to try a pizza and was disappointed! Have had much better gas station pizza! Was barely any cheese, soggy crust, and apparently their favorite topping to cover with is green and black olives on the supreme style pizza. Very good food but very poor business practices and customer service. My entree came with one side, and I noted on the menu that premium sides were an upcharge of ONE DOLLAR, so I ordered one of them. When I got my check, I was charged $4.00 extra for that side! It made absolutely no sense, and neither the server nor the manager could explain it to me. The manager was also completely unwilling to make it right, so I will never eat there again, on principle. We made a reservation for 10 three weeks in advance because my family was coming to visit from Puerto Rico. We were visiting my dad and decided to try Popi's, as it was new in the area. Fabulous dinner, wonderful and great variety of menu selections. Food was beautifully prepared, steak was done to perfection, service was attentive and accurate, as well as friendly. Staff wore masks, social distancing was done as much as possible, cleanliness everywhere was very evident. This new, more modern restaurant is a terrific addition to the area's dining choices.
