Very nice service. The Mac and cheese and hashbrown casserole needs to be changed asap. Dont use canned cheese for that it tasted yuck. Chicken was good. Salad bar was good. Hush puppies was good. Banana pudding was the only dessert we liked. read more

Big Ed's buffet doesn't have a huge spread but it's a good thing because they put out a good spread. It's the first Cajun soul food buffet I've found. They serve up grilled blacken shrimp, catfish (and they have malt vinegar) red beans and rice, gumbo, and other yummy dishes. The food at big Ed's is always delicious! I had a fish plate with hash brown casserole. There's secret special corn better than any I've ever had and peach cobbler with ice cream. Also, the greens which they must be famous for. I'm getting hungry just writing about it. Yummmm 10/10 I will definitely be going back!!! read more

Stopped in on a Sunday for lunch! They were busy . Normally we like weekday lunch and its about $12 or so a person + drink. Sundays are $20 or so per person. Just be aware . lol. It is worth it though . All you can eat ! The buffet food was hot and fresh . Fried chicken , baked chicken , fried catfish , turnips, green beans , mash n gravy , dressing , rolls and cornbread , cakes and pies . Ice cream . small salad bar. You can truly eat till you pop. What can I say? Some buffets are just average but Big Ed's is really really good! Plus we have ordered off the menu and each time it has been perfectly prepared. Their fish is one of my favorite menu items, and don't forget their jalapeño cornbread. If you want true home cooking in a laid back atmosphere, this is your place. Plus their service is phenomenal. Wow. I've wanted to try this place for a while and what a disappointment They had a seafood buffet. Nothing was marked and lots of things were hard to recognize. The corn was in a type of thickened clear jelly? I tried the fish and the coating was way to spicy with no warning my mouth was on fire! Just a bunch of greasy fried clams and shrimp, hush puppies. Potato and pea salad were weird and so sweet fried chicken was so so in flavor but tough. The dessert bar wasn't fresh. Bread pudding I think. Hard and crusty and only melted generic whipped cream for topping. Frozen fruit cobblers and remnants of instant banana pudding. I was surprised at the mushy foods and just a bunch of restaurant supply cans dumped on a steam table. I tried many things and ate none of it. I wasn't alone and my sister had a small salad with nothing much on the salad bar. Nothing in comparison to the previous Pork Peddler that was there before.
