We're docked in Paducah, KY, and walked into town for dinner -- my husband had eaten here before and couldn't wait for me to try it. What a treat! The menu, service, food, and atmosphere were all fabulous. We both ordered from the Asian Fusion section, and our meals were outstanding. The owner even had the kitchen whip up a spicier sauce for my husband, though you can choose your own heat level. Jo and Freddy, the owners, couldn't have been more welcoming -- and they're opening another restaurant in Paducah soon! Amy took wonderful care of us (and makes an excellent martini). I typically am perfectly happy to pay whatever it takes to get a good meal and usually don't pay attention to the bill But this bill easily exceeded by 50% What you typically pay for a high-quality meal And while the meal was quite good, it wasn't a five star meal The service was five stars The salad was good The coconut clam appetizer was good My branzino was quite the small portion and lacked flavor Our salmon was overcooked to dry The best part was the service it was impeccable I rarely say this But I'll never go back it's just not worth it It's a 150$ meal. Went for dinner, very cool atmosphere. Lights could be a little dimmer. Service was excellent. Food is where the price doesn't meet the road. Truffle fries; don't use crinkle cut, you're not Culver's. Seriously, you have to figure out how to make fresh cut fries Or get creative w/ another spud. Chilean Sea bass; you have to give us a bigger piece for $62, It shouldn't be 1" x 3" morsel. Again, do better, It should be twice as big. If you're worried about running out, oh well, at least match the size for the value. Salmon seemed fairly big enough for the $$. You're a good spot fr dinner, but have to do better. Maybe a 2.5. Only one other person in the place. The service was good with the exception of the Asian lady trying to step all over everyone that was doing their job. My mahi mahi was dry, fishy & over cooked. Very small portion. Did not have the mango sauce to go on it so dumped a few cappers on instead. Im from Charleston SC & catch mahi-mahi all the time these filets did not look like it or taste like it. Went to Grill 211 this past weekend and met a friend for dinner. All in all it was a good evening we started with some Calamari that was nicely done. For dinner we had the Mussels, fried rice and a salad. All were very tasty and no complaints from the group. Our service was good but not outstanding by any means. The atmosphere is nice a renovated original downtown Paducah structure nicely done. My biggest concern is they are way over priced for the menu, service and the location. Even in Nashville the same meal would have been a third to half the cost. Be prepared to when the check comes read more

We had an early reservation to attend an event. Our food took 1.5 hr to receive, we ordered the fancy burger medium well specifying 'no pink'. It arrived raw and was returned. It was going to be split between two people ($6.00 split chg.) we had to ask for the plate and when we told the waitress it was raw inside she snapped 'we have to start over since you cut all the way through' I reminded her we were splitting AND we wouldn't have known it was raw if we didn't cut through it. She delivered another in 20 minutes that was raw as well and we had already been there 2 hours and had to leave for the event! So no food. Two people did get to eat, mediocre food. We had a total of 1 iced tea, 9 beers, 2 entrees and a shared appetizer for $200.00 + and 2 people left hungry. Will not be returning. read more

So disappointed. We had such high expectations because the proprietor used to own Spicy Ginger. My wife ordered the lamb chops $58 because it was her birthday and she loved them at Spicy Ginger. She didn't like them or the $10 Cajun macncheese premium side but she is not one to complain. I had the stir fry noodles with beef and it was excellent except that I had ordered Thai Tom yum fried rice with beef and the waiter was nowhere to be found when I realized the mistake so I ate it. When I asked him what it was he was surprised that I didn't order it. I told him it's no big deal because I did like it and he said, oh well as long as you liked it and we never saw him again. My biggest complaint is the waiter. From the beginning he kept saying he was going to fix our wobbly table but never did despite saying he would every time he came back. He was always there when we didn't need him but never when we did. I do recommend the stir fry noodles but I think that the lamb chops were changed because they now are use sous vide method. Service was good and attentive even right before closing. My issue is the cost. We ordered the 20 oz Ribeye for $75 with one side. We decided to split it and ordered the $25 scallops (3 pcs). We were charged the split fee of $6 which did not come with extra side or something. I think that's just greediness especially when our food already cost $100 with only a side of crispy Brussels. After adding 2 drinks and tip, total was $180 for 2 people. read more

Decor is very nice. However, it was rather dark, a little too dark. We were the only ones in the restaurant. a party of 8 (birthday). but OMG they were slow!! No one else was in the restaurant!!! I ordered the lamb chops $62 which were not worth the price, for lamb chop it was tough. I asked for medium well, they brought me medium rare. They did take it back and cook some more but the meat was even tougher. I could not recommend. I can go eat at several places in Los Angeles, Santa Monica, Phoenix, Detroit, Novi and it would be have the price and taste way better. read more

S-L-O-W! The food is okay, but the service is unbelievably slow as others have noted. We arrived on a Monday night with the restaurant half empty and it took 60+ minutes to receive our entrees. We ordered standard menu items with no special accommodations. The waitress apologized for the inexplicable wait. Two of us ordered chicken dishes and the meat was incredibly dry. It was definitely not worth the wait. The waitress understood our meals were disappointing, but did not try to salvage our visit in any way. I cannot recommend a visit to Grill 211. read more

If you're in Paducah, Ky this is a place you must try! Started off with the mussels and lobster bisque (was so hungry I did get a picture) and they were both delicious! My husband had the Salmon with grilled Brussels sprouts and I had the THAI Tom Yum fried rice with grilled shrimp. Both were excellent! Since moving back to this area have been searching for good Tom Yum and I can say I have found the best around! We added a bottle of Cakebread Chardonnay and for dessert Espresso Martinis! Anniversary Dinner. Great atmosphere and good food. I recommend it for a special occasion. I had the seafood platter with scallops, shrimp and crab cakes. It was all very tasty and portions are large. The grilled brussel sprouts with bacon are delicious. Highly recommend the creme Brule for dessert as it was heavenly. I had high hopes for Grill 21. Was dining alone ordered quickly, and it still took 45 minutes to get my entree. Once it arrived it was cold. During my visit I was only checked on a couple time, having to wave down a hostess to ask for more water. To top the night off my waiter took my left overs(half my dish) and tossed them without asking, I had assumed he was boxing up for me. If I could give 10 stars I totally would!! First of all, the atmosphere is amazing. It smells wonderful, the ambiance is 100% relaxing. The place was busy, and it makes sense why. Service, 10/10. My hubby and I worked in a family restaurant for a long time and we understand how crazy and stressful it can be when it's a Saturday night. Our food was amazing, we started with the lettuce cups (so much better than PF Chang's) and I had "Grill 211 fried rice" with New York strip steak cooked to a perfect med rare, and my hubby had the "Thai stir fry noodles" with shrimp and a spice level of 2. Everything was spot on, even the house wine was spectacular. We will be coming here again and again for our regular date nites. FANTASTIC JOB!! read more

Grill 211 in downtown Paducah, KY., is a favorite of hubby & I. We live in Western KY, so it's close by. The ahi tuna appetizer is so good w/ beautiful presentation. I love their wedge salad with Cajun ranch dressing & blue cheese crumbles. Hubby likes the ginger dressing salad. The scallops are huge. And, so yummy! The lobster fettuccine is really good too. Two lobster tails sit atop a big portion of fettuccine! Unfortunately, I only remembered to snap two pics! I was too caught up in how delicious the food was. It was our anniversary dinner. Arrived at our original time (just in case) and the place was half empty! Food and drinks were good, but nothing outstanding. Homemade Pork Rinds are FAB AF! I cannot believe that more people don't go crazy over them. Great staff. Hailey is the BEST! We had a great server Bella and ambiance was wonderful. I am willing to pay good money for high quality food. I was very disappointed in the steak medallions over Gorgonzola pasta. The steak was overdone and some pieces I couldn't cut with a knife nor chew. My husband ordered the pricy 70$ ribeye......there was a tremendous about of fat on the cut and lacked flavor. Service is slooooow enough to take some time to write my review. Overall, the food we tried was a big EH, at best, for the fancy $$$ The Fried Deviled Eggs was more of a TGIfridays experience...nothing special. But, the Wedge salad was definitely not a "wedge" - see photo. Heavy on the outer leaves, really just the most lame non-wedge ever. And skimping on the Blue Cheese dressing and crumbles will not gain you points in my book. The cucumber garnish was not fresh looking or tasting....maybe it froze for a bit in the bottom drawer? We saw this placed advertised as having Vegetarian options - hardly! - there was no mention of anything "vegetarian" on the menu. The waitress told us we could just order anything on the menu, and they would omit the meat. So we got charged $26 for fried rice, and the receipt showed it being rung up as Chicken fried rice with the added note "NO MEAT". No extra veggies or anything, just charged the same as if there was meat. They think THIS is "vegetarian"? No, not quite. I told her it wasn't very good when she asked if we wanted a to-go box (no one ever asked at all, how our food was, or if we needed anything else, tho they did fill our waters once). My friend and I came here for an amazing dinner. Coming from DC, I am well adjusted to the pricing of fine dining and small portions. What I am not used to is actually getting what I'd consider being my money's worth for the portions I received. Food was wonderful. Everything we had was top notch and well prepared. I am a skeptic for eating seafood in the midsouth, but again, we truly enjoyed what we had. The steak and mac and cheese were the highlights of my meal. We were given complimentary desserts which we truly enjoyed after we had left. The carrot cake was a perfect finish to a perfect meal. Drinks were decent and well priced. Service was great! He was super hospitable and knowledgeable of the menu. When I asked him where some of the seafood was sourced, he was happy to find out for me without hesitation. Truth be told, I wanted to order the whole menu since everything looked so yummy! Though my friend and I came here, I would say this is a great place for a date night. If you are looking for something that offers a little bit of everything for everyone then this would be a perfect go-to. Large dining room and bar area offer ample options for seating and for what type of night you might be looking for.
