Tara Brown is our main server. she makes us happy. Sean J is the manager and is a super cool dude. Gina G and Amber W also work on the floor. We have always had good food. The pretzel as an appetizer is very good. I like the shrimp and Cindy usually gets the small steak. They have specials that you need to ask about. Sometimes the specials sell out before we get there. We like to eat after the rush hours. The tables are comfortable. They are not crammed in there like some places. We are not alcohol drinkers, but they have a full bar with 2 TV's. We sat at the bar and watched the Suoer Bowl in 2026. We had a blast with other guests, especially a widowed little lady who said she could have 2 beers and had 6. She was a funny drinker. The entire crew has always been great to us. Did I mention to ask for Tara to be your server? Bridges' folks are the reason we go to Metropolis. There are plenty of casinos almost everywhere now. We have only found one Bridges. Make a reservation on open table if you want to and enjoy a nice supper. read more

We usually go there about 2- 3 times a month, and always ask for "our" server Tara, she's the best- always remembers what we drink, our glasses are never empty, she knows the menu completely, including all the daily specials, always has a smile on her face. Dined here for my birthday dinner. Our server was excellent-- prompt, friendly and gave great recommendations. We tried the crab cakes (could have used more sauce but very tasty), chopped salad, blackened salmon (amazing), ribeye steak and crème brûlée (top 3 I have ever had). Well off my beaten path, the nagrivator needed a break during a long road trip (nagrivators own the maps and let pilots know which turns were just missed.) Warning to first-timers: Bridges is almost where Siri thinks she found it on the mApple, but incognito. There's no signage. No obvious restaurant. Not even a hint. And you're where the sidewalk ends. The restaurant is inside Harrah's Metropolis...also barely identified. The hotel desk says go back around to the North end that serves handicapped, valet, and public parking. The back door! Must be a speakeasy? Silly me. I'd been looking for neon, glittery signs, and hungry people coming and going. Through the back door it's clearly a hotel restaurant serving the casino. At last! There's a wall of wine and a nicely appointed dining area with a full bar. It's not Vegas, but it's nice. Metropolis. Old folk. Maybe stars. Set a spell...in cornbread comfort just north of The South. Fresh-baked wheat and corn breads arrive early (the corn muffins could've easily have been saved dessert.) Signature dishes include hickory-smoked meats dressed a bit fancy and served on the good dishes. The kitchen also offers specials not available on the regular menu. For the casino's diverse crowd there's also a slew of un-southern items including good wine. The nagrivator's salmon was delicious. My signature pork chop was tasty, but dry. For now, this seems a rather stable hotel restaurant tending comfortably toward some upscale offerings. Servers were sparse, but pleasant and attentive. They were kept busy as more than a handful of grannies eased in for some relaxing tippling arm exercises designed to soothe slot machine elbow. Your mileage may vary depending upon how far you may park from the back door or which path you took through the casino. read more

We came to the casino and spent the night in celebration of our 50th wedding anniversary. I'd made reservation for the Bridges Dining Company restaurant, located adjacent to the casino floor. It was quiet, and it was efficient. The servers were attentive and friendly. But the food. The dinner was worth waiting 50 years for, and sharing it with the love of my life was the cherry on top. We had their salmon dinner with baked potato, and I opted for a side of sautéd mushrooms done to perfection! To top it all off, we had a piece of their huge and decadent carrot cake. It was a lot of food. GOOD FOOD, and the ambiance made it a night to remember. I highly recommend it! read more

This casino restaurant opened recently in late November 2014. The staff was extremely friendly, and I will admit the food was surprisingly good. The salads, one chopped and the other Caesar were super FRESH and crisp. The seafood entrees have the option of being ordered ala carte for something a bit lighter. I am quite shocked how well the halibut was prepared and seasoned albeit a tad overdone and a touch too salty but above and beyond what I expected. The Mr had St. Louis style BBQ ribs which he enjoyed but was not a particular fan of the sauce. Overall this restaurant was a pleasant surprise with very reasonable prices to boot. Do yourself a favor and just walk away from that buffet and get yourself some REAL food and not that assembly line slop! read more

Every time I've been either for breakfast or dinner it has not been realy busy. other than with comp guest ordering way too much food (to get to the comp level lmao) Food is always pretty dang good, service can be hit or miss. WHEN its on, its really on. but when they get slightly busy it seems lacking. But definitely recommend breakfast before leaving the hotel always A plus. read more

Ok. Where to start? First of all we had reservations and still had to wait 30 minutes to be seated despite there being open tables scattered through the the restaurant. Then we were asked if we would mind sitting at a "high table" translation- mind sitting at the bar? We waited another 5 minutes for a regular table. Walking to our table I counted six open tables. It took another ten minutes for the server to get to our table to take drink orders, so we went ahead and we gave her our food order as well. Noticed that the trash can next to our table and servers station was overflowing on the ground with garbage. A server set up a tray stand next to our table between their station and our table, close enough for me to touch, that the servers used for empty glasses, notepads and paper trash. My wife's martini came half full. Appetizer was fried and greasy and was served at the same time as salads. I had the Bibb Salad which was to come with a homemade Blue Cheese dressing. It came with some green lime cilantro dressing the waitress called "Green Goddess" dressing. She took it back to have the right one brought out. Salad came back out with the entrees so we had to shuffle things around on the table to get everything to fit. Entrees were ok. Nothing special. Plates were so hot to the touch and the food was so hot that I got the feeling it sat under a hot lamp for a bit before it came back. Overall, very disappointing. Harrah's in New Orleans has a world class steakhouse inside and this place isn't even in the same league. read more

Excellent cuts of steak, however they have no clue as to how to properly cook them. They are presented with a grey tinge, no grill marks because they broil them. They taste mealy cooked in this manner and I would not recommend ordering a steak unless this is the way you like it. The poster for the Bridge in the elevators show a nicely grilled steak. Not sure where the steak pictured came from, but definitely wasn't from here. read more

The food and drinks were about what I expected to find for the main casino restaurant. I tried the signature Cobb salad and the pork sliders. The sliders were actually quite good, with an Asian slaw and sauce. They were a good size for the travelers diet trying not to over eat while on the road. Thy drinks they served were typically only 1.5 oz. pours which was a little disconcerting, but considering they were only $5.50 for top shelf booze, it wasn't that bad. Don't expect much other than a cold muffin or bagel for breakfast here. The espresso machine 'seemed' to work, but I wasn't satisfied with the latte I was served. read more

But the food lacks even more. And it's very overpriced. I sat for almost 20 minutes before anyone came to ask if I wanted a drink. By my count, there was 2 employees working. The hostess sat us and then got us drinks and explained that she and one waitress were the only ones there. For such a low staff, they were fairly quick and extremely friendly. The food was mediocre and too expensive. The chef was terrible the evening we were there. We ordered a chicken dish with asperigus and mash potatoes. The dish was so salty we spit it out. We informed the waitress, apologized and sent it back to the kitchen. She returned and said the same dish would take 40 minutes due to having to recreate the sauce that was the cause of the ultra saltyness. We had to pick a new dish which was a blackened chicken over pasta. This dish was not very good. My dish came out with little sauce abd a inordinate amount of peppers and my wife's dish came out with little peppers a lot of sauce. The saving grace was the waitress was outstanding. The dinner cost us $50.00 and should have cost us $20.00. The friendliness of the waitress was the only good thing. read more

With its pared-back menu, there aren't a lot of choices, but it's "OK" food, but one could argue that they're a bit over-priced. But your options are a long walk to Fresh Buffet that can be hit or miss, "fresh wise," or ACES burger, open until 2:30 when an $8 burger might taste pretty good. Bridges opened a couple of years ago with the new Casino floor, and to my mind, the service, selection and quality of food was much better. This trip... not so much. read more

We were at the hotel for the eclipse. Was gonna only have dinner there but traffic was so bad after the eclipse we had to stay for another night. Bridges is the only decent restaurant in the area so we ate there 3 times in 24 hours. That gave me the chance to try out different dishes and servers. The food is excellent. I don't say this easily. Honestly I didn't expect much from a restaurant in a casino in a town of just 6500 people. Shrimp cocktail, fresh. Crab cakes, tasty. French onion soup, fantastic. It's not too salty. Sea bass, good. Steak, tender and juicy. Salmon, tender and juicy. Burger, awesome. Even my daughters chicken tender tastes good. Why only 3 stars? Service needs major improvements. They are just SLOW in general. Yeah there might be the eclipse crowd but they were not terribly busy either. Day 1 dinner: Table was not cleaned thoroughly before we sat down. There were still ketchup on it. Server was ok. Came greeted us and took order timely. Drinks came quickly. But it took a very long time for the food to come. Kids meal supposed to come with milk or juice but she didn't ask and we didn't know it came with until the next day. No biggies. Day 2 lunch: Server is a man with a loud voice. Let me list out everything he did wrong. - He gave us glasses of water, but no straws. - We asked for a booster chair. Never came. - I ordered my burger with no cheese. Forgot. - He was also supposed to ask me for the temperature of the meat and what side I want. Did not ask. So I was stuck with fries and a cheeseburger. - Appetizer took a long time to come. The funny thing is the chef brought us the appetizer from the kitchen. He still had his apron on. - I asked for straws and plates. He acknowledged. Never came. - We had ordered 2 soups. Did not come with appetizer. After a long time and we finished the appetizer, the chef again came out with our soup. The server was nowhere to be seen. Btw the plates never came. - The hostess came to me and asked how I'd like the burger cooked. I guess the chef was asking but couldn't find the server. - I saw the server. Asked for straw again. Never came. I ended up asking another server for straws. - Server brought out our entrees. And also the extra plate, which I no longer needed. - Water was never refilled. He was only waiting 3 tables. Everybody waited a long time. Day 2 dinner: Everything was ok but food still took a very long time. Kudos to the chef who cooked us a good meal and brought our food to the table while it's still ok hot. That means he really enjoyed cooking and he simply did not want a bad waiter to put his food to waste. I salute you. read more

I expected a lot better for a casino restaurant. I had a smoked pork shoulder sandwich with a Carolina sauce. It was fine but the sauce was more vinegar-y than I usually like. My fiancé had the smoked brisket sandwich and gave it good reviews, however her fries were less than enjoyable and came out cold. It's not very busy so they were probably sitting awhile. The decor is nice, the service was good, both giving me higher expectations. Now that I think about it, three stars may be a little generous for the food. read more

I would rate the food 3.5 stars and the service 4 stars. I had the chicken marsala. Tasty but nothing super special. It did come out hot, which I like, and the new potatoes and green beans were crisp and cooked just right. The cornbread served beforehand was excellent. Service was prompt and friendly. One quirk that I didn't much care for is they ask you for your first name when you order and the server continually refers to you by your name throughout the meal. We ate at Bridges Sunday evening & we didn't have to wait at all! I had salmon with a fried risotto cake & it was cooked to perfection! My daughter had scallops with cheese grits & they were also cooked to perfection! We also had the crab cakes, which were very good, but I felt they could have contained some large chunks of crab. Our drinks were also perfect! Decor is beautiful, service was excellent, wish I could remember the name of our server, because she was great! Definitely gourmet, & if you are a big eater you would have room for one of their deserts too! Everything was delicious, & would love to go back again! read more
