A lovely setting, but the food is not amazing and the menu is pretty small. The restaurant is clean and the staff is great. read more

This is a great experience. The food is very good for basically bar food. The staff is awesome. The pizzas are next level great. Prices are not bad considering they are on a resort and overlook the lake. They have good entertainment on Friday nights and Saturday nights. Boat parking right off the lake is convenient also when you get hungry out tubing with the family. The atmosphere is awesome with tables overlooking the lake and the Barkley lock and dam. read more

Tiki Turtle - Jeeped to the Tiki Turtle - Bars Near Me - Grand Rivers, Kentucky

Had lunch at this delightful place. Located near the water on the lake it was a delicious dining experience. Service was as excellent as the food. I had fish and chips and my wife had a hamburger with fries. I neglected to get a picture of her plate. We had the crab cakes (balls) appetizer and cake for dessert. My wife said the chocolate cake was the best she has ever eaten. Wow! It was nice and peaceful near the water. You need to eat here if you are close. It is worth the drive. read more

We were disappointed in the service. I think our waitress totally forgot about us. After an hour we asked the bar tender to find someone to take our order. Our waitress finally came back, no apologies-we finally got food two hours after we got there. read more

Not family friendly. Let bar patrons pick music on a Sunday afternoon with a ton of kids present. Nothing but F words and N words every other word. When asked to turn down said customers pick music and left it at a very audible level. Food was good and not much of a wait. Won't be bringing family back read more

Best Lake Spot/Restaurant In Kentucky!!! I had the Aloha wrap with a frosty buffalo soldier on the side and of course I had to try the carrot cake for dessert. Let me say I was beyond pleased (and full)! The service is top notch and the ambience is super fun and relaxing. I can't wait to bring my family here next time they are in town! read more

Great food even better service. Very nice facility too. Drinks were great too. Docks were ok, but easily assessable.

Staying at the marina in Green Turtle Bay and the restaurant is on the property. Hours are not long, but the pizza we had was perfect. Workers were nice and friendly. Nice bar and good cocktails. read more

I think this is now Tiki Turtle. Great location, views, and chill hangout. Live Music was just ok, but I'm glad they had it. The 4 in our party all ordered Pizza and we all were so hungry from a day on the lake, we didnt complain. However, our pizza were under cooked. And one of the Pizzas had whole garlic cloves on it. Seriously I was thinking that it was a group of kids working the kitchen without any supervision. Come on guys! A little effort would take this place to another level. read more

horrible service. overall bad experience the kitchen is the slowest kitchen on this side of the mississippi

The fried pickles are spears and they were the best I have ever had!!! Also had the Hawaiian sandwich and it was yummy! The service was excellent, described to us the favorites and came back to check on us many times. If you have kids or even fun adults purchase the color changing cup, it's fun!!!! read more

Such a bummer, it's a great location but falls so short. Service is so slow but the worst is the flies! You have to eat with one hand and wave the flies off with the other. We've visited multiple times to see if it was a fluke... nope, it's disgusting. read more

Sat for 35 minutes 3 different servers, no order was ever taken or drinks made. Will not be back, very disappointing seems like a very promising location. Possibly due to poor management and organisation. There should be a hostess keeping track of who is seated, the property is far too big to be sit where you want and hope a server shows up. read more

We had a great time. Enjoyed chips/salsa, gueso and pretzel bites, we each each had a nice glass of beer. The food is average bar food, it was tasty and good. We had yeungling, miller ultra lite and amber bock. The best part was the service! We had the bartender I failed to get her name, she asked several times if we needed anything. She was attentive but not intrusive. She made us feel like friends not customers and that we could stay all night. We enjoyed the viewing the lake and eating. read more

Stellar location on a peninsula with great entertainment areas. A substantially rough service: + Food was good + compensated food 20% for multiple delays + Frozen drinks were good + Nice outdoor area with lots of seating -Service was slow -Had 3 checks which were messed up for 8 people -Virgin Frozen Margarita was sour mix with ice cubes (not frozen), and charged full price - 3/7 people had the correct sides - food was delayed, due to "computer issue". 2/8 people received their food almost 20min after 6/8 people received already delayed food. - got delayed plastic cutlery Server new, nice, cared and apologetic. Stated they have every beer you could think of. They have no sours, and the only one IPA offered was described as some local "6 amber ale"; sadly, was an amber ale and not an IPA. Drinks on core menu were all good. Chips and salsa were good. Didn't have bacon for BLT's. So much potential, but the botches in service which went well beyond a new server resulted in quite a few hiccups. read more

Disappointing. 6 small wings for 9 dollars. Been there before. I think it used to be better. They should put the trash can farther away from where people eat. About 50 flies were all over us when our food arrived. I was flailing my arms do they would leave us alone the whole time we were eating. Couldn't eat inside because we had a dog that was not certified. Not a relaxing experience. Oh yeah, they charged us for tap water. WTF? read more

This is our favorite family restaurant by the lake. We love to take our dogs. Our dogs keep begging to come back!

Had the nachos and a cheeseburger both wet served hot and fresh. Beer was cold and service was fast.

For how busy they were- drinks and food came out fast! I ate the Hawaiian Turtle and it was excellent. read more

Tiki Turtle - The mantle in the bar! - Bars Near Me - Grand Rivers, Kentucky

Such a fun and delicious place to check out if you're near here. The menu was simple but everything was excellent. Everything had great portions and came hot, all the flavors were there. I highly recommend the Pirate's Punch! The burger was nice a juicy, fries crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. The pizza, cheesy, saucy with the right amount of meat underneath, my only take away was that the shrimp although big were a little dense from the batter when fried. The side mac and cole slaw also really good! Check them out! read more

We visited at lunch time and were so happy to sit on the lawn overlooking the water. We played corn hole (or bag toss as I've heard it called in Kentucky) while we waited for our food which was SO FUN! The food was super tasty! I got wings & oh my goodness it was delicious. Fried pickles and fries mushrooms were so yummy and crispy. It's a great relaxing place to grab food! We have already planned a return trip next time we're in town! read more

Everything is served in disposable containers. The fried food is from frozen however the pizza is very good. read more

So I have had my boat at Green Turtle Bay for 3 years. Not cheap I might add. Eaten here several times. Nothing special. Burgers and Pizza, and a bar. Today I was having my mast stepped and was supposed to be done at 10 didnt start till after noon. We went swimming and came to grab a pizza and the owner told the waitress not to serve us because I had no shirt at 2 in the afternoon. Am I at the Four Seasons or Waldorf? Cant get a shirt because their working on boat. Not even offered to go menu. So it apparent that this owner of a fricking over priced burger place has his head in his coolio. Will not support idiots like this anywhere. read more

Nice atmosphere and friendly staff, typical bar food but smaller portions for the prices. Will more than likely try other nearby bar and grill type places nearby when we pass this way again. read more

Not impressed. Thought we'd try this place again after posting a couple years ago & saw on FB that they were remodeling. Unfortunately they have done nothing for the customer. Their docks are still crappy which is a big negative for a restaurant on a lake. Waitress staff is nice but drink & food service is way too slow. We waited at least 10 minutes for drinks & over 45 min for lunch and the place was only a quarter full. Feel sorry for the wait staff. They need to hire more staff in kitchen & bar or the indoor staff needs to be retrained. read more

It's hard to mess up breakfast, but it was just awful. Pasty pancakes and a horrible quiche. Waitress was snarky when we ordered pancakes and bacon a la carte instead of the pancake "special " because it was cheaper. read more

Golf group of 10 on our 20th annual autumnal golf outing. Stayed in Grand Rivers. The second night, it was rainy, so we stayed close to the rental home and came to this restaurant. There were 8 of us and we came in by the two's. Each group was met with warmth, joy, and kindness. The ambience was warm and the service was genuine and smooth. Our server kept up with the drinks, the food orders, and made sure we all had exactly what we needed. We all enjoyed our pizzas and chicken wings. The draft beers, though served in a plastic cup, were cold and fresh. I highly recommend this place if you are in the area. Our group came from IL, TN, and AL. read more

Can't speak to the food or drink as the service is non existent at this place. I sat for over 30 minutes with no acknowledgement of my presence. I legitimately thought maybe I had gotten in a wreck on the drive over and was now actually a ghost. Watched 2 parties leave due to not getting any service. Wait staff makes eye contact and look / walk away. It actually became an amusing experiment on how long I could sit there and remain Invisible, but in the end I wanted to have dinner and drinks so I went elsewhere. Update: So I went back and gave the place another chance. I'll update to 3 stars based on the pizza and that the staff brought my dog a bowl of water (without asking). Service is still just ok (this is observing other tables as well as my own) but the pizza was good. read more

Sexist and rude. If you want a drink and don't like 21 even if you're over 30 don't bother coming. They won't believe you about your age. Also don't bother coming in a swimsuit, they'll sexualize you if you're a woman. Shame, this place used to be so good. read more

It's a laid back atmosphere with good drinks and "okay" food served with all disposable tableware. I had the tuna salad sandwich, it was very tasty in my opinion. The rest of the table had three different kinds of pizza, which was all declared to be "good"; chicken wings, a little dry; and chicken tenders that were overcooked and very dry. We did get an appetizer of chips and Queso and that was good however, we should have had more chips. read more

My husband and I enjoyed sitting outside and decided to order an appetizer while enjoying the scenery. We ordered the beef nachos at $12. First, the chips were beyond stale, but we were hungry and they were sogged down with a sprinkling of ground beef and a minute amount of nacho cheese. For $12 I was expecting way way better. As we were on vacation, we will definitely not be returning here! If they were located anywhere else where there's any competition anywhere they would be out of business tomorrow. Location is great though. read more

Disappointing, Been here many times before and the food was much better. Patio table and chairs where dirty. Pizza had cheese on top of topping so you couldn't tell what was on pizza and was not good especially for the price . Only some of the menu was available. Service was good. read more

Wish I could rate this higher, but the food was abysmal here. We had a pretzel which was cold in the middle, and nachos which were not only meager for the $12 price tag but the ingredients were not good. Stopped here for lunch with the family after a morning on the water. Had our dog with us, got seated outside in one of the waterfront gazebo tables. It was a hot day but the wind off the lake is nice, it's a shaded table and even has a fan blowing down. The waitress had to walk a long way to serve us, but she was great! Quick with the drinks, even brought water for our dog. All of the food was fantastic, I had the buffalo chicken wrap, others had the shrimp, fish, etc, and everyone loved their meal. I would say the favorite item was the mac 'n cheese bites appetizer! Everyone loved them! Great service, great food, and a fun atmosphere. Highly recommend. read more
