I'd give 4.5 service was good, food filled me up, a bit over priced but not bad. Menu needs updated, it's very confusing and could be way better organized. They also don't list what comes on the sandwich's so if you're picky make sure you say plain. Overall great experience and would return.

Bacon cheeseburger

After countless hours of driving you really wanna find something yummy and with soo many choices on this street you can easily overlook Parker's if you don't know it's there! Coming here I really didn't know what to expect other than some awesome carhops action but what I found was definitely the best choice for fast food in the area. Of the many options I just went with a bacon cheeseburger it was big and I only ordered the single size the bacon was cooked perfectly and the whole thing was yummy even with the lots of mustard they put on it as it just made it right. We shared some onion rings and some fries the rings were definitely where it's at as they just had a good zest to them when dipped into the sauce and the fries they are those frozen things that I actually do enjoy lol! But the real star of the sides for me was the ice in my drink I love crushed ice like it just makes your drink that much better in sooo many ways! Overall this was an awesome little stop and a great alternative to the chains that surround it if I lived in the area I'd definitely be back here again with that said who knows If I'll get back here again but if so I know it will the right choice!

Double bacon cheeseburger

Great diner burger. It was exactly what I was hoping for and what you expect from a Institution like this. Bacon double cheeseburger was enormous-so much so that the person that brought it out asked if I wanted a knife to cut it. I pulled up my big boy pants and tackled it without the knife. Bacon was incredible and so was the burger itself. Fries were crispy and very good as well. We shared some fried mushrooms and they were very good. The diner itself is also a drive-in but we had been traveling all day and wanted to sit down. Place was a flashback in time-VERY COOL.

Friend pickles, burger with friend & fried fish with fries! All the sauces!

Wow! Amazing shakes and malts. Food is plentiful and doesn't skimp on taste either. Very cool 50's vibe with a nostalgic atmosphere. Highly recommend the fish (cod) and burger. Don't forget about fried pickle slices. They have that GOOD ranch. You know what I'm talking about. And there's much more to choose from. You won't be disappointed!

I've wanted to try this place for a long time but my timing was off. Finally we stopped on our way home one night. This really is an old fashioned drive-in complete with neon lights. The food and drinks were average but the nostalgia was great. I definitely want to stop again and take more pics!

Million Dollar grilled cheese with bacon. Chili. Fries. And a hot fudge sundae, I hadnt ordered yet.

Simply love it. We always go in to eat...better than drive in. And, if you leave this place hungry, it's your own fault! Huge portions. Great burgers...the bacon double cheeseburger is the bomb digity. And get some ice cream even if you didn't save room for it. The atmosphere with 50s neon lights, along with the music. And the great staff...you can't go wrong here. We tried the Million dollar grilled cheese with bacon. And chili. And a side of fries. STUFFED.

We stopped at Parkers on our drive back to St Louis. I saw the other reviews and had to try out this gem. Its a nice setup with memorabilia andva cool 50s vibe. LOVED the purple sparkly booths and the James Dean posters in the ladies room Hubby and I both got burgers and fries (my fries were chili cheese style). The food was average, nothing special. I had expected a bit more... Noteworthy - I had a bit of trouble reading the menu, its small print and lots of choices. The staff was mainly teenagers, when we asked for a recommendation on the menu, neither of the staff at the front had a clue. Overall the vibe is cool and unique, but other than that I wasn't impressed.

Gotta get the hand dipped ice cream

Paid with a credit card, and upon returning the sever said she added a dollar to the total. Adding cost without authorization is fraud.

Really good food. I loved the steak sandwich. We also had a chili cheeseburger that was pretty good. Chili had a little kick.

I walked into Driftwood Lounge expecting a full on dive bar experience, and they delivered. This is…read morenot the place to go if you are looking for mood lighting, artisanal coasters, or a bartender who calls you "sir" unironically. And honestly it works. The locals greeted me like I'd just come back from a long trip instead of walking in for the first time. Either they're incredibly friendly or they thought I needed supervision. Either way, solid welcome. Service was minimal in the best possible way. No hovering, life story, or unnecessary check-ins. Just quick, friendly, and efficient, like they understood I came to eat, not start a long term relationship. Now here's where things take a turn: the food has no business being this good. I ordered the Southside Supreme Pizza, and I'm still trying to figure out how a place that looks like it could host a darts league championship is casually putting out world class pizza. I've had pizza from all over the world and this place can hold its own. Thin, perfectly crispy crust, fresh ingredients, and enough cheese to make you question your priorities but not your choices. It's like the pizza didn't get the memo about where it was being served. So yeah, I give it 5 stars. Come for the dive bar charm, stay because the food quietly outperforms half of the "fancy" places that make you wait 45 minutes for a table and then serve you a disappointment on a wooden board. I'll definitely be back. Next time I might even try to look like I belong.

I'm finally having a chance to review our visits to Freight House back in November!…read more My husband and I took a little trip to Paducah, and the main reason we chose this location for our vacation was Sara Bradley's restaurant Freight House. We both are fans of "Top Chef" and since her restaurant is within reasonable distance of home, we planned a trip around it. In fact, we made reservations for two nights in a row, to take in as much of the menu as possible! Between the two different days, we tried a number of appetizers, entrees and desserts. If I were to do this again the same way, I would do one day of apps and dessert and one day of entrees, just to spread things out a bit. What we ate: - Fall pickles: I enjoyed this, with the bit of chili heat, especially the cauliflower - Stuffed Mushrooms: I love mushrooms, and these blended creamy, sweet and hot with a filling of cream cheese, berry BBQ sauce and smoked jalapeno - Pistachio and herb chevre cheeseball: a fresh cheese enhanced by nutty and Herby notes - Smoked bologna: my husband's choice; very meaty and there was a lot of it - Spicy beer cheese spread: a very Midwestern feeling appetizer with tasty veggies and crackers Entrees: -Shrimp and grits: my choice: comforting southern food with lots of flavor - Duck fried rice: his choice: rich rice offset by more delicate vegetables - Sticky ribs: my choice: the pumpkin spice and coffee liqueur glaze worked well for a cozy, wintry meal - Braised pork shoulder: his choice; served with beans and cornbread, this was another hearty, comforting meal with a Southern twist. Desserts: - Winter creme brulee: this was my favorite, flavored with mulling spices, orange and pomegranate We also enjoyed a seasonal sorbet and the fall spice cake. We had the same server both nights, Elizabeth, who was good at making recommendations, and also staggering the small plates on our small table so we wouldn't be overloaded. Chef Sara was in house the second night, bringing dishes to tables. The setting is relaxed, not overly loud, with moody lighting. Overall, we would certainly return to Freight House!
