We recently visited Paducah, Kentucky for the first time. We live in Louisville and would rather get out of town on Derby weekend, so this year it was Paducah. After doing some record shopping we asked "Where's a good place to go for lunch" and there was a unanimous "Parker's" from standers by. It was also, literally, about 3 blocks away. There's a menu board mounted behind the counter and they can hand you one so you don't have to squint your eyes to see all they have to offer. And this menu is ENORMOUS Parker's is a very cool throwback to the car hops of the 50s and early 60s. You can order outside on the speaker or go inside for the full-on experience. The inside is decorated with movie and music memorabilia and neon. Lots of neon. If you're eating inside you order at the counter, they give you a number, and you find a seat. The menu is hand-held/bar food. Burgers, hotdogs, onion rings, and fries, and a variety of sandwiches and a HUGE selection of sides. My wife had a mushroom and swiss burger, I had your basic cheese burger. Our sides were onion rings and fries. Our food was delivered hot, fresh, and accurate within ten minutes. My wife's burger/onion rings came on a basket shaped like a guitar. #AWESOME!! The food was tasty and delicious. I asked for tomato on my cheeseburger and they were able to add it, but was sliced probably 3/4 of an inch thick! It made the burger look a little lopsided, but it was still good. The staff was friendly and didn't look at me funny when I asked for a side of mayonnaise for my fries (yea I'm that guy). The dining room was authentically decorated, like I said, with vintage movie and music stuff down to the chrome chairs and the soda fountain seat with silver, twirly seats...even the floor tiles were like something you'd see in a movie from the 50s. Our first visit was a great experience and we had a lot of fun despite unrelenting rain. If we get to Paducah again, Parker's Drive In is definitely our lunch destination. read more

Really great drive-in! Ordered the fried chicken sandwich (but almost went for the burger) and it was really good! Super hot when it came out and I ordered the coleslaw to go with it. It was good! What a preferred the coleslaw slightly less sweet, but it was still really good. Everything was hot, service was great (and I'm pretty sure that girl was the only one running around with food, so awesome job! I'd give 4.5 service was good, food filled me up, a bit over priced but not bad. Menu needs updated, it's very confusing and could be way better organized. They also don't list what comes on the sandwich's so if you're picky make sure you say plain. Overall great experience and would return. read more

After countless hours of driving you really wanna find something yummy and with soo many choices on this street you can easily overlook Parker's if you don't know it's there! Coming here I really didn't know what to expect other than some awesome carhops action but what I found was definitely the best choice for fast food in the area. Of the many options I just went with a bacon cheeseburger it was big and I only ordered the single size the bacon was cooked perfectly and the whole thing was yummy even with the lots of mustard they put on it as it just made it right. We shared some onion rings and some fries the rings were definitely where it's at as they just had a good zest to them when dipped into the sauce and the fries they are those frozen things that I actually do enjoy lol! But the real star of the sides for me was the ice in my drink I love crushed ice like it just makes your drink that much better in sooo many ways! Overall this was an awesome little stop and a great alternative to the chains that surround it if I lived in the area I'd definitely be back here again with that said who knows If I'll get back here again but if so I know it will the right choice! read more

Great diner burger. It was exactly what I was hoping for and what you expect from a Institution like this. Bacon double cheeseburger was enormous-so much so that the person that brought it out asked if I wanted a knife to cut it. I pulled up my big boy pants and tackled it without the knife. Bacon was incredible and so was the burger itself. Fries were crispy and very good as well. We shared some fried mushrooms and they were very good. The diner itself is also a drive-in but we had been traveling all day and wanted to sit down. Place was a flashback in time-VERY COOL. read more

Wow! Amazing shakes and malts. Food is plentiful and doesn't skimp on taste either. Very cool 50's vibe with a nostalgic atmosphere. Highly recommend the fish (cod) and burger. Don't forget about fried pickle slices. They have that GOOD ranch. You know what I'm talking about. And there's much more to choose from. You won't be disappointed! read more

This place is always a good one. You can choose to eat in your car or go in and eat inside. The service is always good, but the wait time is normally a decent amount of time especially depending on the day/time. The atmosphere is relaxed. We stopped at Parkers on our drive back to St Louis. I saw the other reviews and had to try out this gem. Its a nice setup with memorabilia andva cool 50s vibe. LOVED the purple sparkly booths and the James Dean posters in the ladies room Hubby and I both got burgers and fries (my fries were chili cheese style). The food was average, nothing special. I had expected a bit more... Noteworthy - I had a bit of trouble reading the menu, its small print and lots of choices. The staff was mainly teenagers, when we asked for a recommendation on the menu, neither of the staff at the front had a clue. We were visiting Paducah and saw this place on Yelp and thought to check it out. I LOVE this place! It was a Sunday, so there was a breakfast buffet. We chose to eat inside and have lunch instead. Being my first visit, I had to try the burgers, which were a perfect diner burger - just everything I was expecting. It was nice to watch as people arrived, and a gentleman behind the counter (manager? owner?) greeted them so kindly by their first names. What a true local's spot with great service! I stopped in on June 10, 2023, ordered the All American Special, 1/2 lb chopped steak, xlg ff & drink, took forever to get, took 3-4 bites of sandwich & noticed it was raw in center. I took it up to end of counter, girl was really nice, offered to get me another burger & since I didn't have time to wait I had her get me a to-go box, put my fries on it & asked if I could have a refund on just the burger only. The owner was @ other end of counter, she asked him & he said loud enough for me to hear "refund..after eating 1/2 of it", he never once acknowledged me @ all so I took my fries & drink & left. I will never step foot on that establishment again & I know that my not going back isn't going to bother him nor make an impact on his business but it is what it is.... On a recent road trip to Nashville I decided to stop into Parker's Drive-In for lunch based on the reviews of a fellow Yelper. Once we arrived we quickly discovered that Parker's is a true old school diner complete with car hop service. Despite the convenience of the car hop we decided to eat inside. I ended up going with the daily special, which was a Cherry Fired BBQ Chicken. I was actually less than impressed with the chicken as it really didn't have a cherry or fired bbq flavor to it however it was still pretty good, just not what I was expecting. Overall the atmosphere here was fun and welcoming, I can see how this is could be a popular place for families to gather for a quick meal or over some ice cream. While driving from Missouri to North Carolina, we were passing through and were thinking about dinner. My husband said "you should Yelp a place to eat!" So, I did. He apparently was joking. I don't joke about Yelping!! In any case, we were traveling with our dog, and I liked the idea of a drive in so we didn't have to leave her. It had good reviews so we stopped by easily - not too far off the highway. We ordered from the menu - a burger with fries and a root beer for him, and a grilled cheese with fries and slaw plus a root beer for me. The total was about $10. Cheap! It came in one big bag, with the fries all at the bottom. It wasn't the most clean and easy thing to eat but we made do. I put all the ketchup in my slaw cup which helped. My grilled cheese was standard - but good. The fries were crispy and flavorful (and plentiful). My husband liked his burger. Loved the slaw. Root beers were, well, root beers. I went in to wash my hands and use the bathroom. It was cute. I'd recommend a stop! read more

This is just like Bob's Drive-in. Chili cheese burgers are good, but the should dice the onions. Otherwise, a like menu to Bob's. They also have Starns Bar-B-Q and sauce; another Paducah staple. If you live there or just passing through, stop in and grab some grub. Awesome place. read more

I didn't care too much for the fries, the corn nuggets and burger were amazing. My husband got the catfish and said it was really really good. I hope my experience was not the norm. I stopped in with my brother to get a quick local diner exp. A friend gave it a good recommendation for a burger. I had the the 8.99 special and my brother had a large burger and fry. The burger meat was cold, it appeared to be be pre cooked and not put on the grill. The burger patty listed said angus beef but it didn't have any taste. The fry's were only partially cooked. We couldn't finish eating. I would have said something to the staff but I didn't see anyone that looked over 17 years old. That could be just because I'm old. Anyway, it's probably a good place to go if your grandkids beg you but I won't be back otherwise. read more

Came to the restaurant about 8:20 made it all the way home. Realized they messed up my food came back and the young teenagers had closed the restaurant down early and said they could not replace my $21 I spent on my food. Told me to come back and they will replace it tomorrow, asked for a refund and they would not even give me a refund for the food I did not even get to enjoy.. so I will not be returning to the restaurant and would not recommend to anyone. Unprofessional Update: went to speak to the manager today who tried to debate with me about my food being made incorrectly and did not see the issue with how much of an inconvenience it was to Come back to the restaurant and try to have them replace my food which they did not want to do, because they said they were closed even though this was prior to their closing time they have listed. Manager seemed to look at me like I do this all the time.. and finally eventually gave me my refund for just one meal when I left all the food there and did not even get to enjoy a French fry.. horrible experience. Good food but better check and be sure your food is prepared correctly before you leave or dine in because they will not prioritize there customers read more
