This is my bartender Pierce, super guy! (Aubrey my kitchen staff attendant not pictured...) was also a sweet young lady and attentive.

The first award goes to Pierce who was my bartender, on an especially bad day for me (mother's passing) who was very attentive and sympathetic. Pierce is a very personable guy, shared condolences alongside my cocktail choices. I had requests that weren't necessarily menu choices but the kitchen served them right up! Steamed shrimp and Andoullie' sausage both with creole spices on them as an appetizer while I serviced my Sam Adams Boston Lager with a Knob Creek 9 year Ky bourbon sidecar. Mmmmm.... Pierce asked about my flavors and favs then suggested the shrimp jambalaya and sweet cornbread. After the appetizer, he had my creole senses peaked! He said it was his favorite and it's good. There's two of these "jawns" one here and the other in Cape Girardeau, Mo. I understand the one in Cape is even busier. So go visit these nice establishments and get your Cajun on. It's as close as you'll get to ZNOKA without actually going there. I'll be back Pierce! Thanks - They also have amazing coffee and beignets for desert. I've eaten too much and wish they were open for breakfast, it's an opportunity missed! My suggestion is expound in your beignets and coffee and open at 7am for breakfast with that and a Cajun crawfish omelet! You won't be able to keep the people away, serve grits n' Bloody Marys or a Mimosa. Roll in the ambiance beside the river. Enjoy -

We made a random choice on where to eat for our last meal in Kentucky before we headed back home to Kentucky. After a quick look on places around the historic district of Paducah we chose Broussard's and I'm glad we did. We stopped in at the most random time of about 2:50 pm so we weren't expecting much as both my boyfriend and I are in the service industry and know how those in between times can be food and service wise. Pierce greeted us right away and got us seated. He let us know about the lunch menu ending soon and recommended if we wanted something off that menu to go ahead and decide. We chose to order off the main (or dinner(?)) so it wasn't a problem at all but I'm glad he told us. My son got the kid's cheeseburger and he said it was "the best burger he's ever had" which is high praise from a picky six year old. My boyfriend chose classic Chicken tenders, fries, and rice&beans. He also said that they were some of the best chicken fingers he's ever had and, again, that's some high praise from him. (At one point, he bit into it and I saw the juice spray out a little bit so you KNOW that chicken wasn't dry in the slightest). I went with the Crawfish Etouffe Cajun Pasta and good god it was insanely delicious. The only critique I have on it was a wish the pasta was slightly more al dente but that's a personal preference of mine and I don't hold that against them in the slightest. I was surprised when Pierce told me it came with a side so I chose the veggie plate (green beans, broccoli, carrots, peppers) and was shocked when it came out. It was literally the size of my entree and covered in butter and what I assume was blackening seasoning. So freaking good. We ended up getting the beignets to go, I have yet to try them but Pierce vouched for them and said his boss hand makes them so I cannot wait to dive in. We also got some drinks. I chose the Croc Cooler (rum based) and was glad I did. Good poor and yummy taste. My boyfriend went with two tanqueray and tonics and well, if you mess those up then we've got an issue lol. All was good. The kicker? Our bill wasn't even $80 after four entrees (my son ordered a second burger), three drinks, and a dessert. That's insane and almost unheard of where we are from. I am BEYOND glad we chose to stop in here, from Peirce to the food, everything was great and the best place we have eaten at on our Kentucky Lake vacation. It might be a while til we are back but I hope to visit again. Thank you!!

Came from Minnesota. The Frog Legs on this menu caught my eye so I had to try them. Taste like chicken. The breading fell right off them. They gave 2 pair of nice sized legs. Nothing special honestly. We started with their Bourbon Lemonade and boy was that good!! I also did a combo of Red Beans & Rice and Shrimp Etouffee. Each were very good. I was given a lot of rice. I enjoyed both. The red beans and rice had a lil spice to it. The Etouffee was creamy goodness. It took a long time to get the food and the place was empty. All the other restaurants were packed this Saturday evening at 7:30 but this place was dead. I was skeptical. I probably wont be back.

Met up with my husband's family for lunch while we were in town. I love the old building it was in! We had great service and very good food. I ordered way more than I could eat. I got the 3 item platter with jambalaya, gumbo, and etouffe (not sure how to spell it). It came with cornbread and red beans and rice. Everything was really good. I don't k ow that I could pick out a favorite. But I will warn you that it is way too much food for one person! We also got dessert but I didn't get a picture. I can't remember what it was but it was okay, not great. We had a fairly large group and received excellent service. The food came out rather quickly and still piping hot. I would definitely recommend this place if you are downtown.

Crawfish Etouffee (Full), shrimp, Loaded Potato

Tried this place because I was craving comfort food.... Whoa! 100/10! The crawfish étouffée with fried shrimp was seasoned to perfection and hearty. The bartender recommended the bread pudding for dessert and it hit it out of the park as well. I showed up after a storm and walked right in.. no wait.. but I would've waited an hour to enjoy that meal again! Incredibly well done, will visit again!

Food and services were outstanding! Misty kept up with the margaritas! Her recommendations were spot on. I'm not a fan of hot but my husband is We were both satisfied with what we got.

Not a bad place at all. It made me miss New Orleans. It reminded me of being in NOLA. We aren't from the area, but stopped in for lunch. The raw oysters actually weren't bad. They tasted pretty fresh. I got an order of buffalo wings and I wasn't disappointed. I'm a wing lover so no complaints. It was my first time trying swordfish ever, and I tried it here. I can't say that I'm a fan of swordfish. I grew up on catfish too, though. The texture was different to me compared to catfish, but I'm glad I got to try it. It was cooked perfectly and NOT gamey at all. The French fries here were awesome. I'm a big fan of French fries, and they were perfect here. In all, I had a pretty good experience and have already recommended a few people from home to try it out if they're ever in the area.

Beautiful outdoor seating eating ambiance. Waitresses are so on it. The entrees were very good. The gator tail was very good but they were super battered down and half of what was on the plate was extra batter bits. The signature alcohol drinks were pretty and super sweet.

I'll give them 4.75 stars, but they did fantastic so I'll round up for this place. First, we walk in the door and Zack walked past and complimented the boss on her snazzy shirt and a few other staff were friendly too so the vibe was nice to start off. We were then led to our table to discover Zack is our server for the night. Another compliment on the bosses glasses, okay she did look great - Thanks Zack! Drinks come out super fast and we get our food ordered. Zack was great helping with Alpha Gal and later following up with the kitchen staff that they had in fact not put butter on my fish - another win. I ordered the red fish special (I think) with a baked potato and the boss got the Harris Platter. Zack recommended blackened and was so right, delicious! I tried her fired catfish and that was delicious too, but would have dipped it in hot sauce, but the cocktail sauce was so yummy with a nice horseradish bite - delicious and maybe better than hot sauce (slander I know). That 0.25 off - well the hushpuppies were kinda gross and bland. This is the south so quality hushpuppies are a must. Ask for Zack, you will not be dissapointed.

Half way through the meal we ordered another drink. When the check came my 2 drinks were $56. $28 each. I understand that a double is 2ce the price as a single but in a place where 95% of the menu items are $20ish or less and the restaurant is NOT high end one would not expect to pay this much for a drink. If you are going to charge above average prices they should be disclosed. No prices are on the menu.

We had lunch here and chose a few items from their huge menu. I also got a side of their pasta salad since I love Hawaiian Mac salad and this was a tasty version. My husband ordered the Shark Attack Cheeze Fries, covered with molten cheese and bacon and served with "beach sauce" (the sauces could use better descriptors, honestly). To be fair, the servers were very kind and doing their absolute best, but the restaurant was clearly understaffed. Everyone looked frantic, which set the tone right away. The dining room was also freezing, with cold air constantly sweeping in from outside -- not exactly the cozy lunch my mom and I were hoping for. My mom ordered her favorite, the shrimp and grits, and she loved it. Clean plate, no complaints from her. I wish I could say the same for my meal. I ordered the prime rib after asking the server about it. She assured me it was juicy and looked great today. I asked for medium rare. What arrived was a dry, gray slab of meat that was nowhere near medium rare. I cut into it to show her how overdone and dry it was, and she took it back. Eight minutes later, a second prime rib arrived. This one had a tiny bit of pink, but still mostly gray, still dry, and still absolutely not fresh. It tasted like leftover prime rib from the day before that had been microwaved -- that unmistakable reheated texture and flavor. It was honestly disgusting. I choked down less than half before giving up. The baked potato was the only thing I could actually enjoy. The broccoli had a strange, unpleasant taste and went untouched. My mom would genuinely recommend O'Charley's for the shrimp and grits. But for anything else -- especially the prime rib -- I'd suggest steering clear. Or if you do go, just play it safe and get a baked potato. Very disappointing experience, especially for a $32 prime rib in a small Kentucky town.
