I'll preface by saying the only reason I'd give a restaurant one star is if I had to walk out before I ever ordered. I gave this one two stars because I won't be walking back In. That said: Hostess was apathetic and tired to see our presence at her table. A smile? A hello? A warm welcome to Cheddars? Crickets. Fake it to make it if you have to. Seated us in the bar area with my 18 year old daughter in the very back when there was other seating available more conducive. Should have said something but trying to be nice. Maybe you're just having a bad day. Bartender was our server, so he spent most of his time cleaning behind the bar and taking care of the customers at the bar...not very personable. May I suggest a Hello! welcome! I'll be right with you! Waited an inordinate time to even know you would be our server. Ordered the chips and queso for an appetizer. When plate finally arrived there was no queso but salsa. Can we get some queso? The result is what you see in the photo. Eventually a manager arrived...Oh thank goodness. "We're out of the mashed potatoes you ordered and are currently making more. Can I get you a different side?" No. I want the mashed potatoes as soon as they're ready. I'm sure it'll be the warmest food on my plate. I was right. My blackened salmon came out perfect and the vegetable was cooked perfectly. My daughter's fries were cold and her determination to not step foot in here again was steadfast. One piece of advice...at the end of the meal when you hand the customer the check don't blame the kitchen for overall terrible service. OH. MY. GOD. I went because I wanted to tick fried chicken from Kentucky off my bucket list and every bite felt like I was eating fried chicken for the first time. It was amazing. The wait staff the vibe of the restaurant the food. Everything was more than perfect. The portions are giant. It's a little expensive but it's worth every penny and then some. read more

Wish I could vote 3.5 stars for our Sunday lunch. Been here a couple times in the past and my experience was mixed. I've had a great experience and an awful experience in the past. After reading the reviews I was a bit concerned that things were even worse. Almost left, but our name was called so we decided to stay. The kids at the host stand were polite. Our waitress was super great, great service all around. I got the half rack of ribs, broccoli, and a salad. The boss got chicken tenders and shrimp. The butter croissants were good, I only had a bite since they are a blood sugar disaster in the making. The salad came next and was fresh and tasty. The ribs were really warm, not hot, but warm enough that I ate them. The broccoli was mostly good, some of them had brown patches, maybe burnt maybe too old - no idea. I stole a couple chicken strips from the boss. After scraping the breading off to cut the carbs down they tasted really good. Clean restrooms and clean restaurant. We had a great experience. Payton was very attentive. We were in a little bit of a hurry and our food arrived quick and was super fresh!!!

The male restrooms need to be tended to. One of the sinks has no soap dispenser. The other sink has one, but the soap needs to be refilled. The towel roll is outside of the towel dispenser and the other one does not work. That's gross! If someone wanted to freshen up before having their meal, they are going to have to touch a lot of items that may be dirty. I was lucky to have a paper towel roll sitting out and was able to take whatever soap was left from the "other" sink to wash my hands. I then was able to take the paper towel and open the door and throw in the trash while holding the door open with my foot. The Cajun Creole Pasta was good though! read more

The food and service were excellent. I cannot say enough good things about the Buffalo chicken wrap! I will come back every time I am in Paducah for that. We were able to have an amazing, filling dinner for two (with leftovers) for under $50 (not counting tip). The carrot cake is delicious also. read more

This place is by far the worst restaurant I've been to in a while. Service was terrible, I had to wait for silverware as my steak got cold. The lighting in this restaurant is terrible. The food once it finally came out wasn't that bad so the cooks need a pat on the back. I wouldn't recommend this place to my ex-wife. read more

Disappointed in the quality. Service was very good. The food was cooked right. But the quality of the steak was poor. Tough and grizzly. Chicken and shrimp combo had no flavor although it was probably cooked. The baked potato tasted like it was not freshly baked. The painkiller drink was excellent. I had to return my halfrack but the 2nd was much better. The croissant appetizer was great but SUCH a small portion, and they charge extra for more. We stopped here on a pit stop down to Florida, the name caught our eye. There were right the chicken tenders were made from scratch, so fresh. Kids loved it. My son even snuck into my baked potato. He dug into his meal quickly didn't get a photo. I enjoyed my salad. They give you these warm croissants that melt in your mouth. Again kids gobbled them down before a photo. This is our second time at this cheddars, and have to say the food is always decent and great prices. It's never busy so it's always easy to get in and out of. The restaurant struggled at the beginning and they have really been working to turn things around. We had the Buffalo chicken wrap, side salad, chicken pot pie with green beans, and steak and grilled shrimp. Everything was great and even had left overs. They always bring out the croissants first with honey butter. They never seem to be warm (that would be my only complaint). But they are still delicious! Typically not a fan of chain restaurants, but cheddars and Olive Garden seem to be the exception. read more

Went for lunch on 9/12 around 1:30. Stood at the hostess stand for over 5 minutes without being greeted. There were no other customers in the store. An employee came out of the back kitchen area, saw us, and continued to just stand there. We waited several more minutes to be sat before finally deciding to go somewhere else. This was our first time eating at the Paducah , Ky new Cheddar's. Like all new restaurants it still has some issues but they are mostly operational. Our server , Allie, was the best. We ordered an appetizer that came out quickly. Spinach dip was wonderful, very large and delicious chicken tenders, the Queso dip was to thick and quickly turned cold and a very small amount of salsa - (I think that maybe the salsa was served in the dish that the Queso dip should have been served in.) it seemed to take a longer than normal time for our entrees to come out and when the entrees did come all our food was lukewarm. This is definitely a restaurant we will be back to eat at. read more

Absolutely the worst food I have ever had. Looked and tasted like leftovers I would maybe feed my dog, cold soggy, ugh.. Literally made me sick. Had I not just traveled 8 hours (starving) I would have not eaten it. Staff was obviously untrained and in caring, including the Manager. Many other customers around us also having same experience. I had recently just walked in and sat down at a booth. I sat there for about 30 minutes without any service. Waiters were constantly walking around me. The person that was supposedly supposed to be my waiter did not serve me. I waited a while just to get drinks. My husband and I arrived at 5:50 for dinner tonight at your Paducah location. We ordered 2 glasses of wine upon arrival. Then ordered our food 10 mins later. We waited over an hour for both asking several times for our wine. We had the wrong food brought to our table twice. The manager not once came over to apologize for our length of wait either. We had to pay full price still which is insane in my eyes. We didnt even have time to eat our food once we got it due to the length of our wait and we had to leave to pick up our children. We arrived here just a few minutes after they opened and instantly had to wait 15 minutes for a seat despite the fact that there were only a few families here. Once we ordered our food, we had to wait nearly an hour before it showed up. We ordered baked potatoes, but they weren't gonna be ready for quite a while so they gave us mashed. My oldest daughter ordered coconut shrimp, but when our food finally showed up, they gave her plain shrimp. They also didn't have to go cups. This place is definitely not ready for prime time. My credit card transaction cleared from this trip and I discovered that they stole a few extra dollars in tips from my card above what I authorized. This restaurant is brand new. The exterior is beautiful. My husband and I had put off going because of bad things we read on social media, which I will go into more detail about below. We finally decided to go this past weekend. We accidentally came through a side door behind the bar, which I believe might be a to-go area. We were instantly hit with the stench of raw sewage. The smell was profound all throughout the bar area. We made our way to the hostess station to a line of folks waiting to be seated. The exasperated hostess made her way back to the hostess stand to inform us that there would be a 30-35 minute wait for a table and that all of the servers weee completely full. We looked around the restaurant and saw maybe 10 tables seated in this large, brand new restaurant. I was shocked. I'll never go back. If I go to an establishment and offer my money and they won't take it, then I'll never offer it again. I would not recommend attempting to eat here. I have heard about servers attacking patrons, the food being tampered with, management being unsupportive and terminating employees for ridiculous reasons. The entire culture of this place seems to be out of control and terrible. read more

Typical Paducah restaurant. Cheddars will never make it in this area because of the work force they have to choose from. Management is nonexistent and so is the food. Have been here twice and BOTH times they were out of Cheddars staples. Severs have no clue what is available on the menu or at the bar. Food has came out wrong or cold both times. Waitress didn't care and didn't apologize. Glad it was just the appetizer this time. Waited 45 min on a Tuesday just to wait another 45 for an appetizer. Had to ask for refills. Saturday afternoon, stopped in for a bite to ea, I was alone and was seated at the bar area. I was brought out a crescent roll that was cold and hard. I ordered the appetize of spinach dip, chicken strips and chips and salsa. The chicken was just OK, the spinach dip was cold, and chips were cold and stale. I wasn't able to eat anything except a few bites of chicken. I'll never go back to this restaurant. At least after talking with my server, they didn't charge me. read more

We went for our anniversary, the food wasn't good, the ribs weren't cooked right they left the skin on. My wife's burger was well done she asked for medium, the lettuce was wilted. For me the broccoli was mushy and the corn was salty. My wife's side dish was broccoli soufflé I would not recommend cheddars to anyone. My dogs wouldn't eat here. Usually my dogs lic my fingers , they wanted nothing to do with my fingers taste. If anything was good the iced tea was good! It wasn't like a weekend, it was Tuesday at 4:30 pm! If I could put zero stars here, I would. We couldn't even get seated to eat here. The hostess told us that it would be a 15-20 minute wait. After about 45, the hostesses said that they would not be seating anyone indefinitely. They gave no indication as to how long it would be and when they were asked to speak to someone who would know, they said all managers were cooking in the kitchen and would not be out for a long time.The hostesses were extremely rude and lost an insurmountable amount of business as entire lobby left. The bar manager Paige & our waitress Brittany went above and beyond to accommodate me during my visit at the Paducah Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen. I have a severe corn allergy and corn is in EVERYTHING. Brittany was great in immediately getting her manager to figure out what I could eat. Paige helped tremendously by checking multiple ingredients and finally just making my plate to avoid any cross contamination. My food was great! I ate the entire plate. I cant tell you how much I appreciate your kindness. I always feel like a pain when I go out to eat but they made me feel so comfortable and took the time to help me find something I could eat! The food was good. The waitress wouldn't give us silverware and when we asked for some they walked away and took another persons order. We got the manager and all they gave us was a gift card and said "we don't have silverware" We couldn't enjoy are food there so we had to leave. We just wanted to have a good night with are family. Been here 4 times. At first it was great - good service, nice environment, and the food was hot and fresh. Every time since then, something has been "off." Now tonight we were seated by someone who genuinely appeared to hate her job, and waited a long time for a server that we couldn't find most of the meal. She disappeared. We paid at the table and walked away. The worst part? The environment was unclean, staff were dropping things on the floor and walking away from it (never to return) and they made no effort to keep the place from becoming loud, obnoxious chaos from the big table slamming back some kind of margaritas or something. Overhead several staff hanging out at the drunk table having a great time while we wondered where our server went. It's gone downhill which is a shame because it's not cheap but the food is usually pretty darn good. Won't be back. Couldn't wait to leave. read more

FANFREAKINTASTIC! Our experience at our local cheddars was everything you could want while dining out. We were greeted with smiling faces and promptly taken to our table. The fish tank was gorgeous!
