The cheesy shrimp and grits bowl was amazing. The cheese was very strong and seemed to be mixed throughout, the shrimp was well cooked, and there were a lot of toppings. As for the pancakes, I thought they would be better. They were supposed to be cooked with apple crumble with the apples and salted caramel on top, but when they arrived, there were like six little slices of apple and just some caramel, and the pancakes just tasted like pancakes. They didn't taste like anything other than apple crumble anything. We went on Sunday after everyone was getting out of church, so it was busy and the restaurant was loud. It felt somewhat like a cafeteria? We had a thirty minute wait, which was fine, but after we sat down the crowd seemed to thin out a bit. We ordered pretty soon after sitting down, but it took over an hour to get our food. I understand waiting when restaurants are busy at peak times, but over an hour seemed excessive for the amount of people there and the simplicity of the food. I walked in sat at the bar ordered my food. Then watched as the female cook dropped one of my eggs that she had on the spatula while carrying them to the window to finish my plate..she then took my plate after I made eye contact with her she took the egg she dropped and put it on the plate. When I got my plate the potatoes were lukewarm as well as my pancakes. This place use to be AMAZING.. however the last two visits have been very disappointing. Incredibly disorganized. Long line yet nowhere to put your name in, so they just kept asking, "Who was next?" expecting the patrons to remember the order they arrived. My husband's meal came to the table and my meal never arrived. I asked for them to either pack it up to go or cancel it altogether because he was already done eating. Honestly pretty crappy experience we had this morning, last time we visited wasn't too well either. Today we arrived around 1030am. Walked in and waited to be seated. As customers were coming in to wait, I noticed the hostess had sat down to roll silverware. Waited more as more customers walked in and crammed themselves at the front. Finally was sat at a completely dirty table. I had to ask for the floor underneath to be swept as there was so much food on the floor. The booth seats were covered in food as well. Ordered good for the kids along with our drinks, then ordered our food when the drinks came. We waited 30 minutes for a side of turkey sausage to be brought out and none of the kids food. Weird. Kids food arrived 15 minutes later, so they were eating. Waited and waited and waited for the waitress to only check up on us once. Couldn't take it anymore so we decided to leave, and coincidently as we were leaving the food was ready to be bagged. I noticed a handful of servers walking around the front with food under the heat lamps being ignored. Also we were there for a good half hour and no one gave us silverware. Had to ask 2 people. Last time we were there the silverware still had food stuck to it. Basic. Heard many great reviews and was excited to try this place. Brought my family and we tried a lot of items on the menu. To start off, the best item on the menu is their buttermilk pancakes. They do the simple breakfast stuff (pancake, eggs, bacon, sausage, etc) well. The fancier stuff, not so much. The side of potatoes with our meal were SUPER hard, as if the heat was too high so they never got cooked through. We ordered 3 sides of potatoes and all were hard. The croissant donuts were fabulous, definitely best hot. Don't order the shrimp and grits. I should've known when they had a side of lemon they wouldn't be good. It's not creole style shrimp and grits, didn't have much flavor other than the lemon. I took 2 bites and couldn't finish. read more

My boyfriend and I have been looking for a good breakfast place here in Clarksville. This was not it! To begin with my boyfriend did not like the gravy on his omelet upon asking to remove it and remake it we were rudely turned down and told we should've read the menu better. So he made a new order and paid for an omelet that was never touched!! Then he says the owner is remaking the food so the owner can remake the order but he's still going to charge us??? We both ended up ordering the advacodo crab cake eggs they were ok it seems like they got more boring the more I ate it. I did enjoy the lemon pancakes and the raspberry mocha. However I'll never return after having to pay for a $15 omelet that was never touched that's just peer greed. Had that not occurred I would've came back and explored the menu more. The owner has no desire to treat customers well enough to come back which also reflects in the ratings of the place. read more

SERVICE!! This was our second visit. The first was slow but ok it was opening weekend so it was understandable and the food was pretty good. This time we waited 35 minutes to be seated but that's fine. Waited an hour watched 3 people who ordered after us get their food then the server told us there were at least 3 orders in front of ours HOW unless you didn't put the order in. Great atmosphere but the service leaves ALOT of room for improvement. It's really convenient for us so we'll give it another shot in a few months. They really need to work on service!! read more

Oh my lord this place is THE SPOT to go for anything breakfast!! Michaela was a phenomenal server, one of the best I've ever had, and her coworkers were all super pleasant as well! Everyone there cares and it's apparent. Tables are clean, caddies are stocked, floors are shiny, staff are happy, the environment is pure bliss. As someone who has worked in restaurants for over a decade I was thoroughly impressed with my experience. The Greek Sampler was the die for and Michaela's recommendation on trying the Caramel Smile iced instead of hot was perfect. I brought my son with me and everyone was so friendly with him and helpful. There's even a changing table in the men's room for any parents who decide to check it out. I had high expectations for this place and it was one of the worst places I think I've ever eaten at. The restaurant has so much potential to be great, but the food is overly expensive and completely terrible. I ordered a specialty coffee drink and was given brewed coffee. My omelette was covered in grease and appeared to have been made with premade scrambled egg mix from a carton. I ordered the toasted blueberry muffin as it was recommended by the waitress and it was literally just a blueberry muffin from Walmart that had been toasted in the slightest. The first waitress was obviously new and had no idea how to properly seat anyone. The waitress who actually waited on me was spot on. The sausage gravy was a 10. The eggs looked like they were from a very small chicken. The sausage links had obviously been cooked hours earlier.Coffee was a 10. Overall average,I blame it on them still being relatively new. We waited for 1 hour and 10 minutes before walking out without food. We paid for our drinks and left. The people in front of us still did not have breakfast. The place was only mildly busy, plenty of empty tables. The server was nice, however the kitchen staff was worthless. They had about 5 people back there, so they were not short staffed. The chairs are hard metal and rock hard. Not an issue if you don't have to sit in them for over an hours. This place is doomed. The responses from the owners on bad reviews are just cut and pasted. Service was so bad that I didn't even get a chance to try the food. Was seated on the outside patio (which needs umbrellas or shade, it's just tables and chairs) and forgotten about for 20 min. Waitress came over took a drink order and disappeared for another 10 min and another staff member came over and asked for our drink order indicating they don't know what's going on. They finally took our food order about 30 min in after the waitress had to run back to get her iPad to place the order. Waited for another 30 min and asked our waitress where our food was in the kitchen line and she was at least honest and said it's no where near done so we told her we were leaving. This was their Saturday breakfast rush but it was just a chaotic mess in there and no one really knew what they were doing. We sent a food item back and asked to have it removed from our bill because it was not prepared as described in the menu and we were tired of waiting. None of the staff seems to be working as a team and all work individually. One staff member refused to replace a coffee that had something in it. She said she would go get our server. Food sits in the window too long. It was 20 minutes before we could place our food order with our server that ran back-and-forth to our table 4 times before even taking our complete drink order and then another 30 minutes to get our food after ordering. Tables sat after us received their food before us and we watched as those tables would return food to the kitchen. Our server was very disorganized not sure of the menu and couldn't even bring the correct condiments that we asked for. She also seemed irritated when we asked questions about the menu. We may try again in six months to see if they worked everything out. We contemplated leaving a small tip as we were paying cash but felt guilty and ended up leaving a rather large tip. I sat at the counter and placed my order. After waiting over 25 minutes, the staff realized it had been sent up front for a Uber eat pickup. When I got my food it was cold. Staff didn't offer to recook it. Then once I got home they screwed my order up ,and the pancakes were dry. After paying $31 for two meals with no drinks you would think they would at lease get the order right. Would not recommend to anyone. Dennys is once again my breakfast spot.
