Fries had no seasoning, they offer Cajun seasoning but what about simple salt and pepper, nada, hush puppies were a little overdone but still good, onion rings a little burnt/ overcooked. He go the double burger with everything on it making it a messy meal, but it must have been good. He was licking his fingers! (Eww. Lol) And, it was quiet on that side of the table! I tasted the kid's meal chicken tenders that I ordered for my son who fell asleep in his car seat as I pulled into our neighborhood. Thick breading and real chicken makes it a good tender, in my book. It was tasty enough and a good choice for my baby. I don't like to feed him high salt foods. Maybe my standards for cookout are way off but this was a pretty good one. Even with a line, things moved fairly quickly and they were quick to get you your food when you got to the front. Staff was polite and wearing masks. My cajun wrap was one of the best I had, but honey mustard wrap was drier. Me and my husband both got a big double burger, fries, onion rings, a chicken quesadilla and strawberry milkshakes. The service was fast, staff were friendly, the food was so good!! Only issue was i got coleslaw even though I ordered chili, but even though I really dislike coleslaw, i liked theirs. And mistakes like that are just normal things that happen. In there defense the line was somewhat long but I've seen McDonald's line longer and they still got my order correct! I understand that it's a food industry and it's fast food but there is a way one should present themselves while at work and giving attitude to customers any customer is unacceptable for any business. At first the menu is a little overwhelming. You pick a main entree and then what you would think to be sides seems to also be a main entree? If that makes sense? Like for instance I orders the BBQ sandwich plate my sides that I chose (you got 2) were chicken nuggets and onion rings. Other sides that you had to chose from were chicken bacon wrap, fries, cole slaw, and more than I can't think of off the top of my head. Then you got to chose your beverage of choice. I of course chose the huge tea. And if you don't like really sweet to I would suggest doing half and half. I myself being from the south love sweet tea. The place looked very nice on the inside. The first time I ate here I was hooked.. This place is the bomb diggity.. I got a chili dog with cheese and I've got to say there chili is so good. I went back the next day (told ya I was hooked) I got a burger and another chili dog but this time I went through the drive thru.. That was a HUGE mistake. They messed up my order and after waiting in a drive through for so long it wasn't worth going back in. Great milkshakes at reasonable prices! I love all the flavors they offer and you can mix and match. They use real fruit in them so that makes it even better! This fast food joint was clean and cheap. If you are traveling or a local and want something cheap to eat this is a great place to come to. I tried their chilli which was a mush of meat. Sort of spicy but decent. I'd compare it to a southwest style chili without the beans, onions and peppers. It may or may not be to your expectations. Their burgers are fairly close to Wendy's quality and size. I did like the variety of choices to choose from. If you don't want just a burger they have some other good choices like their spicy chicken sandwich. I had it and it was pretty decent. They even have a sink with soap next to the front counter which is original and I love the idea! The staff was average on being friendly. Pretty good size seating area too. read more
