When Slim Chickens first opened, my family and I loved it. After baseball practice, we were there several times a week for a couple of weeks, and I couldn't stop recommending it to friends and family. Then everything changed. One visit, we dined in and our food came out quickly, but it was cold. We sent it back, and they told us they would remake it. After waiting about 15 minutes, a worker brought it back out--and it was the exact same plate. When we pointed it out, she just giggled and stood there. We asked for a manager, who apologized and promised it would be remade, but they brought out another cold plate. At that point, we asked for a refund and left. About a month later, I decided to give them one last chance and went through the drive-thru. I ordered a wrap, and when I got home, I opened it to fix how it was rolled. That's when I found a dead fly inside. I really wanted to keep supporting this place because we loved it when it first opened, but after these experiences, I just can't. just ordered some food from here and Ik everybody has different ways of makin stuff I've ordered here before with no issues but tonight it literally looked like these guys just dumped a whole bunch of season straight on top of it all with no care at all to where it was super salty you might not be able to tell from the pictures but I literally had to take a napkin to each piece and wipe it down Mac and cheese was so fire though hence the 3 stars but to spend $40+ on some food that wasn't cared for sucks $40 down the drain Update couldn't even eat the chicken it was way too salty read more

Good chicken and waffles.....the chicken strips are seasoned pretty nice and the waffles are not too thick.

The wings: a little small but cooked well. The sauces: one sauce for the wings and two sauces for the tenders. The habanero mango sauce was spicy and sweet. The honey BBQ was flavorful, but more BBQ than honey. The tenders: they were moist and flavorful. I got them naked but you can get them sauced. They are large tenders, so you actually get a good deal when you get the tenders. The 5 and 5 was $15 and came with fries and Texas toast. The fries were a little on the soggy side, but I prefer fries that way so I liked them. The Buffalo Mac and cheese is delicious, but in theory, not worth the price. There is probably two chicken tenders cut up and a small Mac and cheese with some toppings for $10. You can get more for cheaper and get sauce on the side and make your own. Other than that, I'm actually looking forward to trying it a second time. Not terrible for a fast food place. I can't speak for the inside or service other than the drive thru. They were pleasant and the food didn't take too long. read more

I'd never heard of this chain until today and I was very pleased with my Chicken & Waffles. The woman taking the orders. Ro, was so pleasant and even gave me an unexpected senior discount. It didn't take long to get my order and it was hot and fresh. So enjoy that they also have unsweetened iced tea. read more

First try ever, drive thru was fairly fast. Ordered the 3 piece tender meal (chick's meal). Choose the slim sauce and cayenne ranch. The chicken was cooked nice, still tender and juicy. the crust was crunchy. However, very salty to me. the cayenne ranch was really good, small amount of heat. the slim sauce was HEAVY ketchup tasting, not my favorite. The fries were not good, the outside had the tender crisp, but the inside seemed to be like mush, mashed potato consistency. It was just not for me as a person with texture issues. I will try them again, Ill just try other options. read more

Been at other locations. Always a pretty good semi fast food chicken place. We came late evening on their opening day. Was a little nervous about this as the girl taking our order was learning. I ordered the 5 for 5 ( 5 tenders and 5 wings) The order taker was very nice and seemed kind and was a pleasant experience. The inside of the store looked like it was filled with kids at the moment but the workers were quick to handle my order with quick delivery which was appreciated. The food itself was ok. The lemon pepper wings were really sour to me with not enough flavor but nicely cooked at-least the fries are not my favorite however, they couldn't be considered bad oh and the chicken tenders were amazing I was sold with them and the honey mustard sauce is spectacular would love to know who makes it.... the barbecue is okay it's just not my sweet baby rays read more

My second visit was as good as my first. In fact, it was not as busy so it was even better. I drove all the way across town to eat here. In my opinion it is one of the Top 3 Chicken spots in Clarksville. The chicken to batter ratio is spot on and the seasoning is there as well. First time trying this place the chicken had good seasoning but unfortunately it was a little cold for my liking after waiting in the drive through for 15 minutes. The tea is amazing and the deserts are exceptional as well. The macaroni tho ain't no southern macaroni lol stay away from that. Nasty crap. Chicken looks and taste like it came out of a box from Walmart. French fries were extremely limp and cold. I ordered some fried okra and got 13 pieces in a basket. All for six dollars. Honestly just stopped here solely because of the name. Had never heard of it before but boy oh boy it did not disappoint! Sauce was banging and those chicken strips were crispy and juicy as a mf!!! Visited there in the early evening hours, there wasn't a lot of customers in there. I ordered the wings and tenders combo. The food was not warm nor hot, just room temperature. They could have at least put it in a microwave and warmed it up. If it had been hot it would of tasted better. They need to work on quality control. read more

I went in today because my friends had hyped it up so much having been to a separate location and was left feeling sort of iffy. Now it was the first day of operation so it was pretty chaotic. Even though it was busy the service was decently quick and all the employees I interacted with were very pleasant and helpful however I did notice a few instances of management speaking pretty rudely to employees which put me off. Again this is the first day so I get how stressful it is. the food was pretty decent for me. I got the 5&5 meal with Korean BBQ wings and tenders. the wings were tasty and the tenders were good as well. I'm willing to admit it was probably my fault but I also didn't receive the dessert I ordered with my meal. Aside from that I enjoyed the feel of the restaurant it was pretty typical for a fast food place but still welcoming. I do hope to come back again and maybe have a better experience I recommend going to at least try it out maybe it'll be your new favorite chicken spot! read more
