I am feeling a bit weird about posting this, because I just found it kicking around in my Review Drafts from two years ago. So, be aware that things may have changed (most things do), but as of 12/2023, my wife and I *really* liked our meal here. We started with compimentary Croissants with Honey Butter (way to butter us up!). Delicious! For an appetizer, we had the Fried Cheese Curds, which may be the best we've ever had. For my main, I had the Chicken Pot Pie. Although it did not have a bottom crust, it might also be the best CPP I've had. With that, I had the salad with blue cheese dressing, also faultless. My wife ordered the Rib Eye, which, unfortunately, was tough. So if this were her review, it probably would have had fewer stars. You *really* don't expect Rib Eye to be tough. With it, she had the Loaded Baked Potato, which was perfectly cooked, and Coleslaw, which was very nice. Very good service helped us enjoy our experience. I found the restaurant to be a bit loud, but not overly. So why haven't we been back in two years? I really have no idea. But this "blast from the past" has reminded me that we need to go back and have another great meal. read more

Wow! Never had a bad meal here UNTIL NOW! This place has gone down hill FAST! 1) Ordered Ribs and Shrimp, baker and Cole slaw. Ribs dry, no sauce and hard to swallow. I ordered a Baked potato with extra sour cream. Potato COLD with NO sour cream. Asked for more SC TWICE and never got it. Ordered a whiskey on the rocks. She gave me a BEER! A BEER! The food actually tasted good, however, my food was drowning in the juice from the honey glaze and grilled onions. I used 4 napkins to soak up the juice by tilting the plate and placing the napkins in the juice. I scraped all the onions off because they were all onion skin, when the onion skin is grilled/sautéed the texture is weird and is not edible. The service was good, as was the ambiance. The cooked need to be mindful of how they plate. read more

Average. The food is decent but nothing to write home about. My favorite thing here are the honey butter croissants, honey mustard dipping sauce and the chicken tenders, when they aren't overly breaded. My kids love the spinach dip, the kids chicken tenders with fries and red beans and rice. I've had the ribs and they were just okay. My son enjoys the shrimp alfredo pasta, is enough for two meals. The carrot cake was again, just okay. Small slice but we all shared. Great ambiance and the staff is always friendly. read more

Had not been to Cheddars in a while and never visited the one in Clarksville. I am so glad I visited. The service and menu items were really good. Very responsive and helpful in picking the right food for my mood. The croissants were fresh and dripping with honey and butter. Yum. My chicken tenders were crispy and the white meat inside was delicious. My sides of red beans and rice, and salad with honey mustard dressing were all very fresh and well prepared. read more

Ordered delivery while staying in a very nearby hotel. Order was completely messed up. Dessert with ice cream was so greasy it was inedible, ice cream was liquid since delivery took over an hour and a half. Thankfully we are traveling with our dog, we will use the hamburgers we ordered to feed him. Yikes read more

I went here last night on a date night with my husband. The drinks were sooo good! The rolls they serve as courtesy are l8ghr and the that cream cheese sauce is so different and tasty. The Monte Cristo is perfect its fluffy and flavorful. Their menu is stacked, great options. The waitress was so sweet and we were having a rough date night it happens sometimes and she was such a doll giving us space. The vibe in this place too is hip and laid back the fish tank is stunning, we will certainly return. read more

BE AWARE CLARKSVILLE! So here's the story-as everyone here knows, it's pouring rain right now here, Saturday (4/5). Me and the wife decided to order take out since we didn't want to go in AND because we didn't feel like going somewhere where tipping would be part of the gig. We called our order in via phone and paid via the link they text you with. I paid using the link and there was never a mention of a tip, so I assumed they were doing the right thing and not charging a tip because, well tipping is for waiters and no one waited on us since it was take out...right? NOPE! Cheddars put in an automatic tip without my verbal, written, or otherwise consent. That, folks is called theft. Great food, zero ethical compass. Now i know why we stopped going out for dinner. We walked in, greeted with smiles, place was a bit loud with the music to where the table next to us, were yelling at each other just to hear. We enjoy quiet dinners, this was far from quiet. Shortly after we were seated, a couple of families came in with screaming kids like it was "ass beating day at walmart", nobody said a word to these people about at least trying to get their kids to quiet down. It was so bad and noisy, that we had to ask for boxes to box up what was left of our meal and leave. Not sure why parents don't, won't or can't get their kids to at least act human instead of one of those "screaming goats". At one time, i almost managed to get a bite of food to my mouth and one of those brats let out such an ear piercing scream, i'm surprised the aquarium didn't shatter. At that point, i dropped my fork and we asked for boxes. I would like to know a couple of things though, why do restaurants have to have the music so loud that everybody gets to hear about "aunt martha's hysterectomy" because they have to shout across the table, and why do restaurant managers, not do anything about screaming kids? Back in the day, when i was a restaurant manager, as soon as kids started screaming, the table got one warning, if they had to be told again, my staff were directed to take boxes to the table and start boxing their food, they were gone, while that was happening, one of my bussers would go get their license plate in case they tried to leave without paying. It wasn't long before people realized that i meant business, we were a white tablecloth fine dining establishment and we expected a certain amount of decorum with our guests. BTW, the restaurant that i managed, got voted best steak house in town, the entire 6 years that i was there. People, if you can't keep your kids quiet during meal time, either get a babysitter and leave the kids at home, or just call in "to go" and pick it up and try to enjoy a quiet meal at home with your spawn of satan. read more

The limited time 7oz filet was melt in your mouth amazing! Jacob was our server and he absolutely killed it. He was quick but not rushing, so nice and personable. He knew the menu and gave great suggestions. A lot of servers in Clarksville could learn a lot from Jacob. We will be back as long as we can sit in his section again. read more

The food was sub par. I wish I could speak more positively but unfortunately my fries were cold and overcooked and my daughter's caesar pasta salad did not have any pasta in it. Our server, Kyle was nowhere to be found when we noticed the error. Eventually, the hostess offered to find him for us. By the time Kyle finally showed up, my daughter had already eaten most of the salad. I explained to Kyle that the salad was missing the pasta. He offered to bring us a serving of plain pasta to dump into my daughter's almost-finished salad. I asked for a price adjustment instead, since we were almost done eating. He was not eager to assist us at all. He acted as though we were inconveniencing him by asking for the error to be corrected. Eventually, he told me that he took $3.00 off the bill. Then, he walked away without even as much as a simple apology for the error with our order. As far as I am concerned, Kyle's behavior while serving us is reflective of Cheddars' ethical standards. My entire experience with Cheddar's this evening was a huge disappointment. read more

We had a great experience picking up dinner for our family of 7 while visiting town. The food was ready right on time, and everything was hot and fresh. I will say I did enjoy my experience here. Visitor from California. The service was top notch. The server was friendly and helpful, and the manager stopped by our table to check on us. My wife and I both ordered a pineapple coconut beverage that was really boozy and sweet. We had the Wisconsin cheese bite appetizer. I liked that. Served with ranch dressing. My wife ordered the chicken pot pie with a side of green beans. She enjoyed it but way too salty for her taste. The green beans just tasted odd. I tried one and we both agreed. She wished she had ordered a different side. I ordered the bone in ribeye with caesar salad and loaded baked potato. The steak was cooked medium well, some pink in the middle, I had ordered it medium rare. It was not far enough off that I said anything or asked for it to be redone. It tasted pretty good, but it was not as tender as I had hoped. The baked potato was just okay. It seemed like it was cooked a while ago and reheated. It lacked the moisture I would expect from a baked potato right out of the oven. The ceasar salad was a big hit. I waffled between giving 3 or 4 stars. Took my parents here for a quick dinner. The good: the food is flavorful in terms of seasoning although it can be salty if you're not used to that so be sure to get water. The app trio has good queso as well as spinach dip. The honey rolls are great as a opening snack although you only get one per person. I ordered the chicken and shrimp while my parents got the 20oz ribeye and whitefish. Our server was extremely friendly snd good natured. My caesar salad side was pretty good. The bad: the steak had so much fat on it that it was at least 25% of the steak itself. The knives provided to customers are also the same you would find at any fast food diner although you would think it would be different. The whitefish was flavored but only barely. My chicken and shrimp while tasty was such a small amount that i felt as if i was missing half my meal. The chicken breast was equal to half the size of a regular one. To "compliment" it was four tiny shrimp that looked like they should have been thrown back to grow more. read more

Came in for lunch and was seated by the friendliest host ever. He was an older young gentleman in his 70's. He cracked a few jokes and then recited a line from the Bible. Our drink order was taken pretty quick. We decided on ribs and shrimp. The shrimp were nicely battered and deep fried. The ribs were pretty meaty and had a nice flavorful sauce on them. The baked potato needed extra butter which we were able to get no problem. Overall we both enjoyed our food. When I went to the restroom to wash my hands yikes! Had to turn around and head back to the table. They need a better ventilation system in there. They did nothing special for my birthday boy when I mentioned it was a big BD. (That's OK, I took him to Culver's for an ice cream). The same host held the doors for us when we were leaving wishing us a blessed day. I hope they keep him around for a while. I have to update my review since my last visit. We had such a great lunch and overall wonderful experience, with five adults and a 17 month old boy. First off, Krishara was our server. She was absolutely in my top 5 best servers category, and that is saying a lot!! She wore a mask for COVID regulations, but you could hear the smile in her voice and see it in her eyes. I had chicken fried chicken, with mashed potatoes and sweet baby carrots. Hubs had Crispy Chicken salad. My sister had potato soup and chicken pot pie. My daughters had a monte cristo with fries, and cheese fries, and my grandson had bits of everything. We also had the cheese bites app, which is so good. Everyone loved their food. It came out hot, everything tasted fresh and delicious. The portions are large, so we have plenty of leftovers. Score for me!!! Anything that keeps me out of the kitchen these days is awesome. COVID kept me cooking for so long and I'm so thankful to be able to eat out and enjoy a meal again. I'm also thankful to be vaccinated, out and about, and to do what I do....YELP!!! Moved to the area a few months ago and a few people told us to check out the place. I've passed by so many times and thought oh it's probably a chain restaurant and not that good, I was so wrong. The service is great. The food is pretty good! The ambiance is great as well, it's big inside with a fish tank, beautiful archways, and a cool fan like structure. I had the Cajun pasta which was so good. For appetizers we got the chips and queso and the cheese bites. Those cheese bites are delicious!! Definitely a must try if you go. Around lunchtime on a Tuesday. Quickly seated at a table, left with 3 menus and 3 sets of silverware wrapped in a napkin in the middle of the table. First impression?-You don't matter, sit down, read the menu, we'll get to you later. Server stopped by after a while to apologize for the wait. So we ordered. The lunch specials are a decent price and good portion. The server checked on us a few times. Our food was served, it was edible, the server helped us pay using the Ziosk tablet on the table. Eventually it will replace almost all order takers and payment takers. read more
