Waitress disappeared for long periods of time and left all her tables wondering. The service from her in general was slow and had completely deterred me from going back. As I was looking around I noticed no one else was having that problem besides the tables she was taking care of. Food order was wrong. Drinks were good but took about half hour to get one drink from her. Also just fyi Applebees does NOT honor any type of reservation no matter if it's Valentine's Day. Two of my friends and I visited Applebee's in Clarksville TN on March 10, 2025, at 3 pm. We requested to be moved because the music was extremely loud and the staff said they could not change the volume. And the issues far exceeded the loud noise. The drinks did arrive and we ordered an appetizer, which never arrived. No reason was given when we finally got our orders. We each ordered the New Orleans dish with chicken and sausage. The food was good and plentiful. There were a couple of requests from my friends for additional beverages which were never delivered. By this time we had decided not to order the dessert which would have been shared by the 3 of us. I had chosen this restaurant because of the new specials and the fact that is was supposed to be under new management. Plus it was mid day, so I had expected to get good service. Everytime I go to Applebees on Wilma Rudolph I get great service from all the staff especially Frank the manager comes by and checks on the tables to see how everything is and if we need anything else. Update: Applebees on 3066 Wilma Rudolph Blvd in Clarksville, Tennessee has a great medium rare steak, excellent french onion soup, and good chicken salad. The steak was cooked well done the first time. They corrected it and provided an additional serving of broccoli & mashed potatoes too. The best broccoli and mashed potatoes I ever had in a long time. Ordered food from hotel and drove to pick it up. It came out on time, brought by a very friendly staffer. It was hot / appropriate temperature and looked good. Unfortunately there wasn't a lot of cheese in either of the two orders we got for the pretzels. I ordered a southwest steak bowl and when I opened it it was shrimp. I like shrimp but was craving steak. On top of it, it just wasn't very good. There are too many other options to eat in the area. I doubt I'll eat here again. read more

Being from this city, been going to this Applebees for years. I've seen the management turnover quite often and I've seen where the A/C was out for months and they simply used box fans to cool the entire restaurant. So, why do I keep coming back? Look at this burger - just look at it. Took multiple pictures to make it look appeasing, and just ended up frustrated. Fries don't even look seasoned and the reality is, is that the burger was like ground beef that was stringy, coming apart and not even solid. Yet, the food is affordable, plentiful, and Happy Hour is a good portion of the day. Their Happy Hour also not only affects drinks but cuts in half the price of almost all the appetizers. Even when you aren't there during their Happy Hour, they still have affordable Mucho drinks ($5.XX) and their new alcoholic drink of the month ($1.00). I really don't care for these $1.00 drinks, cause it's just tastes like pure sugar, not to mention it's like everything is just sitting in a 10 gallon container - so there is no way to accurately measure the alcohol ratio in your drink. You may be paying $1.00 for pure mix. Despite all these, another reason that I continue to go to Applebees is that besides a bar or two on that side of town, there is no restaurant that closes as late as them. It wasn't too long ago that they closed at 2:00am - seems they recently changed it to Midnight. When we do come during the weekend late at night - as of lately - Applebees seems to have a club vibe. They turn up the music and turn it on a 'Hood/Trap' music station, like music I probably wouldn't hear on a local radio station. We got to watch the game so the atmosphere was perfect for a Sunday. It's been a few years since I had Applebees. We ordered the appetizer platter, I don't think any of it was made in house unfortunately. Everything tasted like frozen mozzarella sticks. Tupperware mass produced artichoke dip. Stale chips from a bag. I don't know, I guess it's just been so long since I had eaten there that I didn't realize everything was premade and shipped in. There were 6 of us together. We only had to wait till they cleared a table. This was a very small Applebee's. Food was good and our waitress was in it for a Friday nite. The waiter had came back and told us that the cook said that he can only make one for some reason something about not having enough patties, but made a burger for the people who came in after us Then a couple Next said that their food was raw and it was raw chicken. So when he came over for us to order the food, we were kind of nervous. I ended up having to change my order which was the bacon burger to pasta so I got the chicken Alfredo the classic with broccoli when the food arrived the pasta was not fully cooked through. It was still hard in some places the broccoli was not fully cooked through either. It was still really hard. Nothing was seasoned, and the chicken that was on top of it was really dry and had like a really weird taste to it almost as if it wasn't even good to eat. I did not finish. I gave it back. On a positive note, we ordered the appetizer platter for pickup. The food was good (after reheating). Picking up the food was an issue. When arriving to the pickup area, signage indicated we were to stay in our vehicle and the food would be delivered. After 15 minutes we watched another vehicle pull up, go inside and come out with his order. Therefore I went inside, sure enough my order was sitting there. I questioned why it wasn't brought out to the vehicle. I was told some electronic item was supposed to ding and that it hadn't dinged. Therefore 2 vehicles sat outside waiting while our food cooled. My wife and I went to this Applebee's on 26 May 2023. The restaurant was clean. The service was great. The restaurant was clean. However, the food was terrible. She got the 3 Cheese Chicken Penne and the cheese sauce was overcooked. The breadstick that came with her meal was overcooked and almost burnt. I got the Bourbon Street Steak. I ordered it medium and it came out well done. The mashed potatoes was sitting in about a 1/2 inch of melted garlic butter liquid. Did we send anything back, NO. Used Yelp to get on the reservation list. It showed me as #1. I show up at the business and they tell me they don't go by Yelp reservations and listed me as #3. My rating is mainly based on the staff not following covid guidelines. There was only one staff member wearing a mask correctly and that was the host. Every server had their mask below their nose, some weren't even covering their mouth. The staff is also not enforcing guests to wear masks when it clearly states on the front door they are required. Guests are being seated right next to each other and there is no distancing between parties. My brother in law went and paid the bill and I asked him if they removed the 2 xtra chicken sides on the bill, we looked and it was not removed. I made them fix it. I had to go ask for a Togo box it took a different server 5 minutes to get. Never got drink refills! I will never go to this Restaurant again at this location! I'm sad because I picked Applebees!!
