Love'em! Wife had a Med salad she said was better than most. It was not very crowded except for the regular group of noisy barflies. They were doing trivia night and it was nearly impossible to understand through the fuzzy speakers and echo from the concrete floors. Service was quick and attentive. The Guinness was served perfectly and yummy, nearly as good as in Ireland. Overall, better than usual when it's crowded during buffet hours. If you have a group of pizza-friendly friends (although there are several non-pizza alternatives) and want to spend a couple of hours talking and laughing, this is your place. read more

Very bummed about this place closing! Where am I gonna go for pizza buffet? It's one of the few places in town that offered that. Lots of items to choose from on the menu, but the draw was the buffet. It's what kept me & my little family going back. The pizza was good, and they had a great variety to choose from. I really do love the bar staff here. It's still my drinking spot occasionally but I just wish the food was better. I know what I'm getting into when I order food here but once in a while I still try and am usually disappointed. I got a calzone this time and it's quite burned. The chicken inside even had char on it. If you come during dinner you're likely to have a better food experience but beware at lunch, most the kitchen doesn't even show up for their shift. Eh, nothing special. My husband raved about this place so we dined in on a weekday. Wasn't busy at all so thankfully service was quick. Loved how most of their seating are booths, which we need for our larger family with small children. Lots of tvs around so you won't notice the time passing by. Went there with my best friend for an evening food run and was disappointed. The good: the water was cold and the hostesses were nice and friendly. The manager addressed the issues presented and invited us back after our complaints and gave us a gift card. The bad: my pizza was not hot but rather lukewarm and the sauce looked like it was sparingly placed with a measuring ladle. It did have some decent flavoring but was nowhere near a real deep dish style pizza. Thoroughly underwhelming. The ugly: spinach cheese dip looking looked like someone had blindly tossed cheese and spinach together in a free throw event. If you look at the photo it also includes the wonton strips you get at any chinese restaurant. Such a let down and failure at fusion fooding. The chicken tenders were not even completely breaded (again, photo!) and the fries were soggy as if they had been sitting in the heat lamp window for some time. When my friend asked for the order to be redone, the server (mike or Michael) seemed like it was a waste of time. When he brought it back, you could tell they just re-dropped everything and it look overcooked and burnt. We wanted it redone NOT reheated. He then proceeded to argue with my friend that he "saw them drop new fries so they are new fries" and had a bad attitude about it. Your tip depends on how you present yourself and its not an automatic thing. Luckily, the manager (Chris) came over and apologized about the situation and gave us a gift card. The food is always delicious, the atmosphere is welcoming, and I've never had a bad experience. Definitely one of my go-to spots!

I will start out by saying, I NEVER make reviews but the amount of times we have been disappointed here is unbelievable. The past 4 times we have been here, it has been absolutely HORRIBLE service. For some odd reason, the server seemed very off and the first 3 times we had the same guy server and he was VERY slow and it took so long to be acknowledged, and get our drinks, etc. we never got refills and we always kept trying to come back thinking we wouldn't get that same server but it was him every time. We came back today and luckily, we had a different server, but he literally had the exact same demeanor and everything as the other server and he was just as slow and it was absolutely horrible service once again. The food is always good, I have no complaints about that... but I don't know who you guys are hiring, but whoever you guys are hiring seem to NEVER know what they are doing or they are all over the place. Well well.... Visiting from Tampa, FL. Our group ordered several items but a few items just made it terrible. We ordered Pepperoni pizza, cheese sticks, spaghetti with meatballs, chicken wings(bone in and boneless) and three magnificent salads. Our waiter was awesome! Pizzas were good... but the spaghetti and meatballs were absolutely bland. Additionally, the salad was flooded and overpowered with Vinaigrette. Ensure you ask for the salad dressing on the side. I usually lower my expectations when coming to chain restaurants and just get something basic or something I know they are good at. But salad? And spaghetti? Cheese sticks with marinara? Boneless Chicken wings? Spinach Artichoke Dip? The marinara was bland and I'm pretty sure they used the bland marinara as the spaghetti sauce. I'm very sure my boneless chicken wings was bought from Walmart pre frozen and microwaved then served. Spinach artichoke dip...change the chips and make the dip fresh. Although they didn't charge for the 3 salads and the spaghetti it was Waste of money and time. Chef...Let's improve please. This place was good before but don't get the buffet. We decided to try it since they started it again but that was a mistake. Same pizza for 30 minutes! Also the pizza had very very little toppings. I mean the pepperoni pizza literally had one pepperoni per slice. My slice of sausage had 3 little pieces of sausage on it. Service was great. But I don't advise anyone to get the buffet anymore. Years ago it was awesome. And the salads were great. I don't think they even care about keeping it fresh. Because they just put all the old slices together on one tray. SORRY for this 2 star review, especially in COVID 19 times, but rating the experience, our server, Angie, earned better than that, the manager deserves 0 stars. Angie was excellent, attentive, on point, explanatory about menu questions, as well as friendly. Unfortunately, not great enough to outweigh the attitude of the manager. If he'd only stayed "in the kitchen" I probably wouldn't be updating my review, because consistently my food has been great, until THiS. Even on "this" occasion MY food was delicious. But here's the thing, my family has been practicing social distancing, and this was the very first opportunity I've had to eat at a restaurant with my sister and nephew (the pickiest eater in the whole world). I can't count the times I've eaten at Old Chicago. I not only enjoy their food, I love their bar. They have really nice cocktails, and a huge selection of beer. I'm always impressed with their beer temp, as well as their beer clean glasses. You can get a great beer here. Here's the problem....my picky nephew ordered a child's pizza with no sauce and pepperoni on the side. Now, the waitress did ask if he had a problem with garlic and he said no. He's used to eating garlic bread with cheese. My sister and I shared a pizza, and it was delicious, as always. My nephew took a bite of his and spit it right out then grabbed his drink. My sister and I took a bite, it was absolutely disgusting. Underneath the cheese was an unbelievable amount of garlic, and in large pieces like whole cloves of it! No way anyone would want to eat it. Nasty!! We called Angie over and she took it to have another made without the garlic. Within a couple of minutes a man in a dirty uniform came over and said rather aggressively to my nephew, "I just wanted to get this straight. You do, or you don't want garlic on your pizza? I don't want to waste any more." Nephew says, "Not great big hunks of it." My sister and I took over the conversation at that point. The tone really rubbed me the wrong way when he spoke to my nephew and he should not have addressed him at all, he's a child!! I asked Angie to speak with a manager. She told me that was her manager! WOW, really? His name is Byron. Thanks Byron, you totally ruined the way I feel about Old Chicago. You lost a longtime repeat customer, because I won't return. read more

Kind of hard to see in the picture but we ordered the OC thick pan and the pizza came out with very thin crust. The server was nice and attentive but I'm not sure if she wrote it down wrong or if this is their idea of Chicago style pizza. I get it, you like to smother your food when ordered that way...but at least bring me some extra nappies!! A girls gotta clean her mouth when she's actin' a glutton. My sandwich wasn't even [temperature] hot. I'm thinking perhaps the sauce is cold and/or room temperature and that completely jacked up the sandwich. My fries were cold too. Double bummer. Oh, and the sandwich had one pickle on it. Count it, ONE. Don't threaten me with a good time by saying there's pickles up on this and then not deliver. Triple bummer. No issue with the kids meals! The waitress made sure we were all set when we got our food - but never once came again to check while we were eating. Not usually an issue- but with my soupy sandwich, I had to take napkins from the kids. Then we had to go up to the hostess to get extra napkins. Again, not a major issue, but a check-in would have been lovely incase something was needed. You know, like another round of drinks...make sure everything is cooked right...and of course my beloved napkins. I've been here multiple times before, but this visit missed the mark. I can't go lower on this rating. Paid $30+ for a thin crust 9 piece meat loaded pizza and cheesy bread. I got a dried up saucer size leather like cheese whatever. Notice the medicine bottle size next to the pizza! When I called to tell them what I received, I got hung up on 3 times and hung on hold over 30 minutes. After waiting and waiting and no one coming by, or even acknowledging that we were sitting there and that they would be by soon, we asked if someone knew that they were sitting there. We saw lots of different staff members but couldn't get anyone of them to make eye contact. So after waiting even longer still we walked out. Instead of any staff member trying to rescue this loss of business, one hostess told the other to ssh as she attempted to tell us to have a good night. I'm not sure if the B team squad was working yesterday at Old Chicago, but it was one of the worst experiences at a restaurant I've had in a long time. If you come here, you better bring your cellphone with a QR reader so you can download their menu, ve prepared for poor and argumentive customer service that gets your order wrong, and eat some room temperature, semi melted cheese, on your pizza. There are no menus here, so learn how to use a QR code reader if you want to order off their menu. On top of that, they give you 3 separate QR codes, for different menus such as drinks verses food. Why don't you just use one code for the whole menu instead of 3 separate codes? Its annoying that everyone at the table had to keep rescanning different codes in order to view different parts of the menu. It's very inefficient and good luck to non-tech savvy people because i guess you'll just have to figure out the menu. Customer Service: so many things went wrong and our waitress' inability to problem solve and keeping her composure, made me realize the lack of training this establishment has done for this poor employee. After placing our appetizer and food order. We specifically asked if she could do half the pizza with mushrooms and half without for their "Chicago 7." We even said if she couldn't, we would just opt out of not ordering mushrooms, period. She nodded and repeated, "yes we can do that and I put that down". She later came back and said our appetizer was unavailable which was not a problem, so we opted to not get an appetizer. When our pizza showed up, there were mushrooms all over the pizza, which was not what we ordered. We flagged down our waitress to let her know, there was a mistake on our order. She said sorry and that she could have them make another one. While we were hungry and my friend felt bad for wasting a perfectly good pizza, my friend asked instead of remaking the pizza, if they could just knock off a few dollars and that she'd pick off the mushrooms. The waitresses said, okay and walked off. We began to pick off the mushrooms on some of the slices and began eating 2 out of the 6 slices of the Chicago deep dish. Wow the "Chicago 7" deep dish pizza was disgusting. The cheese on top was semi metled but when you got to the bottom layer, the cheese was still shredded and was at room temperature. It taste cold and gross like I should have just popped a Digiorno pizza at home and semi bake it to life. The waitress came back to ask if everything was okay. We told her, we really don't want to complain, but the pizza isn't baked all the way through, its cold in the center and the cheese wasn't melted. Our waitress just stood there shook her head and said, "I don't know what to do. Do you want a manager?" We said yes and showed her our slices of pizza and she said, "oh ill just reheat it for you." She then took the pizza off our table, that we've already eaten out of and walked away with it. About 15 minutes later, she returned, with the same pizza, that is now reheated, and placed it back on our table, abruptly. She proceeded to say, the kitchen said this half of the pizza didn't have mushrooms on it, as she waived her hand over our pizza where my friend and i had picked some, but not all, of the mushrooms, off. We began to point out, there's still mushrooms on that side of the pizza if you look at it. The waitresses then stormed off without another word, which was very strange and rude and we assumed she was getting the manager. But no manger or our waitress came back, so we had to flag down the hostess to ask for a manager. When the manager showed up, he was very nice, polite and apologetic. He offered to make another pizza for us and to remove the Chicago 7 pizza, off our check. At this point, we were no longer hungry, tired of waiting and was very disappointed in our waitress, the pizza and was disgusted that our half eaten pizza was reheated especially with Covid 19 being a huge concern. Overall, my friends and I won't be coming back to this establishment. From our waitress' inability to fix our problem and was argumentive, to the lack of menus, to the horrific food. Please try many of the other local pizza places that actually have great customer service and pizza's that is hot and made to order. read more

Not busy at all, took 10 minutes just to get water. Was gonna do buffet but all pizzas were overcooked and slightly burned. We ordered an appetizer that came with our food 38 minutes after being seated. 18 minutes after getting our water I had to go find the waitress to get a refill.
