3 Stars I am a longtime fan of Culver's and especially enjoy the frozen custard. I frequently visit the Murray, Kentucky location and have consistently had great experiences there. Today, while in Clarksville, Tennessee on business, I stopped at this location and ordered three scoops of the Flavor of the Day (dark chocolate) through the drive-thru. After paying, I was given a number and asked to pull forward into one of the waiting spaces. I understand that many restaurants now use this system to keep the drive-thru line moving, but in this case it created a problem. I waited approximately 7-10 minutes while multiple vehicles that had arrived before and after me received their orders. When my custard was finally brought out, it was already half melted. Since my entire order was simply three scoops of frozen custard in a dish, it would have made much more sense to bring it out immediately rather than letting it sit while other orders were completed. I had planned to park and eat it anyway, but by the time it reached me, I ate part of it with a spoon and ended up drinking the rest. The custard itself was delicious, which is exactly what I expect from Culver's. My concern is with the process. Food that melts should be served as soon as it is prepared. I don't believe that's an unreasonable expectation. I still enjoy Culver's and will continue to visit, but I hope management will reconsider how frozen desserts are handled when customers are asked to pull forward and wait. read more

Golden, squeaky little bites of Wisconsin pride. If you're in the mood for fried dairy therapy, this is the place. The burgers? Butter burger smash. My first visit to Tennessee and First time to Culver's was a great experience, leaving me satisfied with both the food and service. I had heard a lot of positive buzz about this place and comparison to In&Out burger and it certainly (unfortunately didn't) live up to the hype. They are known for their signature Culver Deluxe and ButterBurgers, fresh frozen custard, and friendly hospitality, Culver's delivered an enjoyable meal that I'll remember. For my main meal I tried the Double ButterBurger with cheese, customized with only ketchup. Perfectly cooked, with two smashed patties that were good but not well seasoned. Culver's lightly buttered and toasted bun, which adds rich flavor that pairs beautifully with meat. The melted cheese brought a creamy texture, even a simple burger should be very tasty.. it really wasn't as savory as I expected but still good enough to finish. I also ordered the crinkle-cut fries, which were golden, crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside. I also tried the vanilla shake, which did not disappoint. It was thick, smooth, and perfectly sweet, with a rich, creamy vanilla flavor that tasted far superior to your average milkshake. Finally, I (big back) also had the North Atlantic Cod fish sandwich. Served piping hot, the fish fillet was crispy and golden on the outside while remaining tender and flaky on the inside. The lettuce was the only downfall as it was a little soggier than I would have liked. The freshness and temperature of the sandwich were impressive, and it was a nice surprise to enjoy a seafood option at a burger joint. Beyond the food, one of the standout aspects of my visit was the service. The staff was friendly, attentive, and helpful, creating a welcoming atmosphere that added to the overall experience. They took the time to explain the menu options, answer questions, and ensure my order was prepared just right. From the prompt service to the genuine smiles, their commitment to customer satisfaction was evident. Overall, my first experience at Culver's was outstanding. The combination of delicious, freshly made food and excellent service made it a meal I'll gladly repeat. We ordered several "meals" to go, the only thing positive that i can say is, even though it was "generic tasting", everything was either overcooked to where the burgers could have been used for skeet shooting, fries were over cooked, onion rings were over salted and i have never had "dry creamy coleslaw" before, is it a new trend or corporate secret, we're saving the fish for tomorrow night, going to have to air fry it to get half of the grease out of it. I went here about a week ago to order food and ice cream. My husband got a fish sandwich meal that he thought was good. I got a crispy chicken sandwich meal that I didn't necessarily care for. The sandwich was plain. It was chopped up lettuce, chicken which was hard, and some pickles. There wasn't any sauce added. We also had desserts. I had a cookies and cream milkshake which was average. It didn't wow me but what did was the turtle sundae (which I added bananas to). My husband ordered an ice cream with cheesecake & Reese's. I am not a fan of fast food joints but I am a fan of Culvers. I've been to many locations and the food never disappoints. My favorites are the patty melts, cheese curds, root beer, and of course the ice cream! The people at this location are always friendly but that's also at all of the culver's location. They must train their staff well, or better yet, the company must treat their employees well which is great! read more

First time trying a Culver's in years! Not the best location because it's set back off the main road, but it's worth the slight 'inconvenience'. I was pleasantly surprised by my entire experience. Very friendly in the drive through line and at the window. The burger was delicious and fresh. A great meat patty and juicy toppings. Ordering inside Culvers amazing, haven't had a problem with service, getting all my food my family and I ordered and the quality of the food and service are good, buuuuuut the drive through is another story. The three times I have gone through that drive-thru, we've had food missing everytime, this time, large size of cheese curds and fries and a double butterburger. So I'd just recommend going inside. Had lunch here the other day with some friends. The place wasn't very busy since we came in mid afternoon. We all go burgers. Two cheese butter burgers and one mushroom Swiss burger. I asked what makes them butter burgers and the lady told me it was because they brush the top of the bun with butter. We also got some fried cheese curds with ranch dipping sauce. Our burgers all had nice fresh buns and fresh toppings. The meat Pattie's were pressed thin as paper with crispy edges. I particularly did not like the crispy part of the meat but my friends liked it. My one pet peeve is when workers start sweeping up the floor beside you as you are trying to eat. If you are interested what compares to a Freddy's or steak and shake, Culvers is a great comparison. Out of the 3, I would day Culvers is the second best. Smash burgers with crisp, fresh vegetables om top! That crisp bacon gives that crunch factor you are looking for. The fries are regular crinkle that come out fresh every time that I've ever had them. The Pretzels were ok. They are frozen it seems as the bread was a little over cooked on them The kids meals come with a free ice cream cone! The custard here is ICE COLD. Love the fresh fruit that you can add to your concretes! Overall, we enjoy going to this Culvers! Especially when it's nice outside and we can take the boys to enjoy the weather and some custarrd! read more

Freddy's has permanently lost our business, Culver's takes the crown! The service was fast and kind even with a huge line, the concrete was delicious and over a dollar cheaper than Freddy's (you can find my 1 star review of that place on here, if you're curious) and the ingredients of the burger and sandwich tasted fresh and good quality. My only critique is the sandwich wasn't toasted enough, the cheese wasn't melted at all and the bread was soggy and falling apart because it was too soft from lack of toasting. I've only eaten at a Culver's (this one, actually) once before. I had one of the burgers and I guess it was ok. I really don't have any rememberance of it. But I thought I'd try again today. Got the Spicy Crispy Chicken Sandwich, which was just ok. Nothing made it stand out. It's your run-of-the-mill spicy chicken sandwich. It had lettuce, pickles, and tomato on it. The amount of spice and heat were good. My advice: use about half the lettuce (iceberg, which is nutritionally void and very cheap) and about twice the pickles. I was struck by how dry the sandwich was, until it dawned on me that there were no condiments on it. It was only after I'd taken the last half of the sandwich home and added some Kraft Horseradish sauce, that it perked up and said, "Hello!" Again, my advice: put something on that damn sandwich! Mayo, honey mustard, whatever (I really do recommend the Kraft Horseradish sauce, or maybe just some Frank's Hot Sauce...IT NEEDS SOMETHING!) The crinkle cut fries were just your standard fries, but they were really much better than the sandwich. I also had a medium raspberry shake which was to die for. The shake and the fries were the only things that really made the meal memorable for me. Listen, Culver's: you've got to step it up when it comes to your chicken sandwiches! I'll be back, though, to try a burger or something else, and I'll update my review. But right now, you're only at a solid 3... all on the basis of a cheap side and a milkshake. How sad is that?! BUT, the service was fast, considering it's all made fresh to order, and the folks working there were great and seemed happy with their jobs, and that kept you from a 2 star rating. read more

Well, I must say that I was disappointed this visit with my meal. The three stars are for the speed of service (we were the first ones as they just opened), friendly drive-thru service, and accuracy of food order. However, my sandwich (Wisconsin Swiss Melt) appeared burnt on one side and had a hint of the burnt taste. The other side was okay, but very greasy. The taste was subpar due to the slight burnt flavor. A bit of salt might have helped. I got onion rings which were my favorite part of everything. Real onions inside a crispy, crunchy breading with good flavor and a little salt. Yum. My toddler got their chicken tenders kids meal. He loved the chicken tenders and my onion rings, but I had to finish his fries. Oh darn. Lol I like the thick cut crinkle fries because you get the potato flavor and not just a bunch of salt. It's crispy on the outside and real potatoes on the inside. As an addition, I wanted to try the flavor of the day. Nothing special. It was basically a vanilla with fudge and a pastry sprinkle that ended up being soggy. Not anything I would get again, so maybe stick with basic flavors, if you're not the adventurous type. I am weak for soft serve ice cream and NO ONE ever has a good quality one. But this chocolate custard is BEYOND my flavor dreams! The consistency is amazingly creamy. I Have never heard of this place until we moved here. We stopped by for "snacks", ordered the chili cheese fries, cheese curds and custard. The chili was not great AT ALL, canned tasting and don't like beans. Fries weren't crispy although cooked through. I had asked at the counter if they had cheese fries, not sure why I couldn't just order that but she said we have chili cheese fries. Well we decided to stop and try here today as it's so far back off the main road you tend to forget about it until it's to late. On first appearance it's clean and the staff is friendly, it's kinda like a Steak 'n Shake in a fast food form. So we placed our order, price is about medium. $10 person. The fries are your basic Krinkle cut fries, literally, the cod was good and the slaw was tasty. The mushroom burger disappointing let me down, the whole flavor was bland and the bun, well just another bun. The cheese curds where good, but they advertise Wisconsin cheddar and the picture shows yellow cheddar. I know they have yellow and white, but they do taste different and didn't expect 2 different types. That was misleading when ordering. Overall it's decent and sadly because of its location, I doubt we will be back. Still the place is good if you just want a standard burger and fries. read more

Just visited for the first time being new to the Clarksville area. Ordered food at 7:25 on a Friday night with customers at 2 or 3 other tables and lots of employees working. Food took 20 minutes to arrive and both burgers were not what was ordered. Ended up eating them as we didn't want to wait another 20 minutes for replacements. Don't plan on visiting again. read more

But, to have to wait in a long drive thru line, then have to wait more than 10 minutes for the order (3 burgers, 2 fries, & 1 order of cheese curds) was unacceptable!! Everyone wants to yell that they are understaffed, but that doesn't work for me when they have several employees standing around talking! Get in that kitchen to help get the orders out the door!! Today was my very first time ever at a Culver's - what a treat! I ordered their Swiss cheese and mushroom burger; the patties are hand formed, grilled to perfection, and served with crispy crinkle cut fries! Yummo! Hanna, our awesome person who took our order, was more than happy to give myself and my daughter in-law a sample of their famous frozen custard - today's flavor was "Snickers!" I felt like my mouth and stomach had an amazing party when the creamy custard goodness and the crunch of the Snickers collided and created an amazing treat! We have eaten at Culver's many times. This was the first bad experience. We arrived at 1:00. We were finally able to order at 1:13. Thankfully, our food arrived at 1:18 which seemed reasonable. Known for the frozen custard, which is essentially an egg-y ice cream. They have vanilla and chocolate daily, and a flavor of the day. The burgers are good but not great. They are called butter burgers because the buns are buttered. They are made fresh but they just aren't on par with the greats. There's just a little bit of "special-ness" that is missing. Don't forget about the fish sandwiches (which are fried). Their usual is the Atlantic cod, but during a few weeks of the year they have walleye. I think they are actually better than the burgers. The fries are ok. Better yet are the cheese curds, which are essentially little nugget sized fried cheese sticks, and more oval. read more
